So I have a suggestion for a villain....

Well, on their journey, they'd have to travel outside of Equestria, since Khaos is a dick like that.

 

They'd actually get to meet other species out there and previous antagonists who may or may not help, Trixie for example. Spike could probably travel with them, he could secretly back and forth send messages to Celestia for advice.

 

I believe the actual encapturing of Celestia would be good, turn things around for a bit and see how that works out.

 

I...sorta want this in the show now...dang it sounds like fun to watch.

Maybe some colt who, for whatever reason, wants to free Discord, and succeeds. Maybe discord can speak telepathically to ponies, and corrupted a colt with promises of power, and that's how Discord makes a comeback for season 3. Maybe he's one of Celestia's guard's, from a long line of royal guards, who's sick of his boring life guarding the royal castle 24/7, and bending knee to a queen he doesn't even care about. Maybe he envy's Celestia, and want's the power she has, so he's willing to free Discord to have that power.

I think if it were a COLT villain, I would want him to be pressured into his position of evil by a guardian stallion of sorts. That way, the show could have something of moral to work with and could possibly use the elements on harmony in a new way! By, you know, using them to change the heart of the colt instead of using magic to destroy him.

 

Evil doesn't always have to be eliminated, but rather it can be nipped at the bud, so to speak. If the colt shows remorse for his actions, he could possibly turn against his oppressor and with the help of the mane 6, defeat him and earn his freedom?

The concept evolves. We wanna see a colt villain. That is a definate. But not your run of the mill evil pony, it seems a tragic past is wanted right? So factor in the possibility for a change to good. Doable I think. The character is becoming complex. So I think that perhaps, this character would have have to be reoccuring to have any more detail as far as personality. I like it. now for the fun part. If not evil for the sake of evil, then why is the character evil? Good past with tragic happenstance, or evil past with mixed feelings about his misled ways? Or something else entirely. This is getting good

 

 

Hmm....how bout.....a king who's the sole survivor of a changeling attack that wiped out his people and his family (if the changelings really do kill their victims, which I think they do), and wants to make everypony else suffer like he suffered, because he doesn't think it's fair that his family and people must rot in the ground for all eternity while places like manehatten and ponyville get to live their happy lives. His grief over his loss turns to anger and jealousy, and now he's on a rampage across equestria, recruiting any lowlife scumbag to aid him in his quest to wipe out the rest of ponykind. Not only that, he wants to find the changelings and their queen and destroy them too. Perhaps he's an extremely powerful unicorn magician, rivaling Twilight in his power, which makes him so dangerous.

 

....though, probably too dark for MLP. Maybe they could just imply that his family and people are dead.

 

What if he went to school with Twilight! WHAT A TWIST!

Something I would like to see would be another pony joining with the mane 6 and tricking them into being friends and then slowly but surely trying to separate them apart and make herself seem the good one in the mix, but have her working for another who wants to eliminate the Elements of Harmony as a threat.

One pony wold always be kind of skeptical, like Twilight was of Cadence, and then they would eventually find out after being broken up as friends and join up against her, to find out that's shes working with someone for reasons like her family being threatened and not really on her own accord. So they go to find the puppet master pulling the strings on her and have to defeat her.

The other pony them may of may not become a REAL friend of all the mane 6.

I don't know about a Trixie, but I think a colt villain would be pretty cool. Hopefully, it will be a recurring villain.
