This is an impressive game, but having six buttons instead of the traditional four of five was overwhelming for someone like me who isn't used to rhythm games in general!

...It also would've helped if I'd had my fingers on ASD for the first half of the song instead of SDF...

This game really would've benefited from a tutorial mode; if it's any consolation, I enjoyed it way better than the rhythm game they put into the canon G-5 My Little Pony game for Switch!

Yeah, ideally, the game should have easier songs that would use only 4 buttons to familiarize yourself with the controls and the like, and then slowly raise the difficulty, introducing the use of another 2. Since there's only one song at the moment, it is what it is. If the only song would be easy, there would be no challenge at all.

Just in case, I'd like to mention, that the controls can be customized if you find the default configuration to be confusing.

Do you mean practice mode, where you could slowly study the map, or actual tutorial that would explain game mechanics?

• For the former, since you can't "lose" in this game, I didn't feel like practice mode would be needed.
• For the latter, there is "How To Play" section in the game page, that explains the basics.

I had in mind an easier song/level to start with, or maybe starting with use of fewer buttons earlier in the song.  That's let the player get used to the controls.

Ideally, there'd be a whole bunch of songs that ease the player into the harder parts---partly the difficulty was how there were so many different things to pay attention to at the same time, and partly it was because I wasn't used to the controls---and, of course, partly it's because I haven't played many rhythm games in general, if I'm being really honest!

@Rikifive Practice mode would also be useful. There should be some way to restart from a checkpoint placed before a difficult part, instead of repeating the whole song.

Yeah, I wanted to put more songs, or at least multiple difficulties of the same song, but given it's supposed to be a "Winter Wrap Up" event, I didn't want to delay the event any more and release it like, in the middle of Summer. The game could use tons of polishing, but there was simply not enough time. I was already cutting a lot of my sleep time during the development.

If the game says it's not bad, it's not bad!  It's all about practice, so it's totally okay to get such score in first tries, no worries.

I wasn't able to keep up with this as much as I wanted to, but I just want to say it makes me so happy how far You manage to go. I can't even cross the 90% mark XD

Even after achieving my two-star goal, I couldn't give up. And now I've finally made it to three stars!

This should be it for me – I'm sure I'll keep playing, but four stars are most likely out of reach (though there were still some parts I wasn't completely satisfied with – I've had better combos, for example).

Now Rarity gets a star too.

You just admitted your recording with 100% never existed.  I'm waiting for your 100% then.

Aww Rarity is so happy it's so adorable!

Getting the fourth star would surely be a challenge, who would you give it to if you got one?  I'm really curious and I'd love to see that.

The event ends this Sunday at 20:00 (UTC+2).

Like @Aurora876 mentioned, there is a timer on the game page (to the right on PC / at the bottom on mobile).

Now that timing was brought up, that made me think - I may put the timer on the home page as well later, especially since these are last days.

Thanks buddy! I haven’t played since last week so I forgot about the timer/deadline.

Finding ponies with stars isn't easy, but that Rarity was worth all the searching.

I knew this would be difficult... I improved my score many times, eventually getting over 80% on almost every game. I just couldn't let you down!

That combo is something I could never have imagined after my first attempts.

And of course I'll be giving the star to somepony... After a little thinking, it was a fairly obvious one. The pony who originally made me join the fandom: Pinkie Pie!

This will probably be my last significant improvement (yeah, I know I said that about the last three stars too ) – I might make one last post if I improve again before the game ends, but this is a result I'm very satisfied with! Thanks for making such an addictive and fun game – without a doubt one of the most memorable events here!
