Fluttershy Leans In. Fluttershy is flawless, yay. Where's the conflict? :maud:

Shocked that no one has said Non-Compete Clause yet, the all-time most hated episode of Friendship is Magic. :Sunny-huh:

Non-Compete Clause has to get a mention because it ruins two Mane 6 chars in order to give the student 6 a role. Student 6 are aight, but leave my Dashie and AJ alone D:

Quite a few bad ones mentioned in the thread already - mostly agree.

While the ep is quite fun, I still have a problem with Feeling Pinkie Keen for part of its message. Twi was right to try to understand Pinkie sense and shouldn't have been mocked or punished for it. It's fair enough that once it has proved that she can't understand it then she can skeptically go along with it, but it feels so weird seeing her best qualities turned against her in the first part of the ep.

Unoriginal answer, but Non-Compete Clause. The whole episode was a disaster, but it also felt completely unnecessary. The whole plot was based on a lesson that AJ and RD learnt as early as season 1, which not only makes that episode feel pointless, but makes this one feel pointless too.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

I forgot to include "Fluttershy Leans In" in my original post, that's two boring Fluttershy episodes for me.

Mysterious mare do well, Spike at your service and Yakkity sax

First ones just RD's friends deciding to be a dick to her for no reason

Second puts a character we know is better than that in a position of incompetence so negligent if anypony else did that under any other circumstances they would be rightfully assumed to be doing it on purpose

Yakkity sax is just Party of one but changed just enough that the teacher doesn't notice the copied homework

Cart Before The Ponies is the worst

I didn't like that episode either, there are several other episodes that I don't like, but if I had to pick one, I'd choose "Flutter Brutter" for being the worst episode in my opinion.

Any episode with the "young" mane 6. Sorry but they are ALL annoying despite Gallus and Silverstream peak design ... (and got I HATE Yona ...)

have we all forgotten "Dragon Quest", the episode where the moral was "internalized racism is good actually"?  sometimes episodes have weird or botched morals (eg "Stranger Than Fanfiction", i don't think the moral applies when Daring Do is a real person), but "Dragon Quest" is just next-level.  so bad, in fact, there was an issue of "Friends Forever" that was all about Spike unlearning the (unintended) awful moral of this episode.

TL;DR read "Princess Luna & Spike" it's awesome

EB: well you see, the explanation is perfectly simple and scientific.
EB: it was because shut up.
EB: shut up is why.

Newbie Dash straight up says hazing is okay because "muh tradition".

G4 wasn't exactly short on episodes with just outright bad morals unfortunately

Spoiler

I like to imagine that RD never told her parents she became a WB because the episode itself was just that bad

Honestly? None of them, there isn't a single episode of FiM that annoyed me or made me say "yeah, this one sucked", FiM is like Dragon Ball for me, I love so much the characters and the world that anything made with them can entertain me, even though there are episodes considered universally and objectively bad by the community and I do recognize that they are bad, they still entertained me, I know "Non-Compete Clause" is bad but that episode still entertained me so I just can't hate or dislike that episode.

At best, there are episodes that I was least entertained watching, that the plot was not very interesting to me to the point that I found it forgettable and have no desire to rewatch it, I wouldn't deny it, but I wouldn't beg either, that means, episode that were "boring" for me to watch.

With that I mind, I believe all the Big Macintosh x Sugarbelle related episodes and "The Perfect Pear" are strong candidates for "worst episodes" to me, I don't think they're bad, but they were so uninteresting for me that I literally can't remember what happens in them, "Hard To Say Anything" is actually still somewhat memorable for me solely because of the Cutie Mark Crusaders doing all crazy stuff to help Big mac, which was really fun for me, Big Mac's rival was also funny, now "The Break Up Break Down", "The Big Mac Question" and "The Perfect Pear" I literally can't remember what happens in them, just that the former is about Bigmac thinking that Sugarbelle is about to break up with him and Discord and Spike try to help him, the middle is about their marriage, and the latter is about how Applejack's parents met each other, that's all, I forgot everything else. So these were the """"worst"""" episodes for me.

But there is a reason for that, I'm just really not a fan of romance at all, it's nearly impossible for a romantic story to entertain me, TASM 1 & 2 are the only movies I can remember having romantic scenes that I actually liked (and Gwen x Peter is one of the very few fictional couples I actually take seriously), I'm more of a adventure or non-ordinary plot guy, I really prefer when they do a romantic story that is actually comical or crazy rather than serious, for that reason "Simple Ways" and "Hearts and Hooves Day" are one of the funniest episodes of the show for me, because they don't take their romance seriously, they use it to tell a funny story. Other than that, I only really like couples if it's important to the story, because of that I like Shining Armor x Cadance, as their relationship was important to defeat the changelings, etc, Big Mac x Sugarbelle, Bright Mac x Pear Butter and the rest were just mid to me, sorry :scoots:

In my opinion Yakity-Sax is the worst one. All of the characters in that episode don't act like themselves, and some lines of that episode are horrible like when Twilight says to Pinkie "We don't want you to waste your time in something you are not good at" excuse me? Did i just hear that right? It's pretty bad and boring and it did not contribute to the history or character development of no pony at all.

And then there's 2, 4, 6, Great!". Rainbow Dash being disappointed with being assigned to the cheer squad instead of actual athletics? Understandable. Shamelessly taking it out on the students, at least some of whom probably have her as a teacher? Not so much. Twilight  knowingly giving Rainbow Dash a job she'd have no interest in so as to teach her a lesson - as if that's more important than ensuring that the students have teachers who actually care? Ummm... no.
