I just remembered something that annoys me... pointless poetry. I mean, am I alone here?! does someone get it!

 

poems need to be very meaningfull and deep!

 

Woah that just reminded me of something else that really annoys me..... Alright here goes....... Art..... (mainly neocubism and similar styles.... for example some of Picasso's work..) I just dont get how some things can be called amazing peices of art.... Its like oh it has a really deep meaning does it?...... Its still a really bad drawing/painting...... Some of the best "paintings" in the world can be just brushed off and labelled as bad.... because they aren't "deep enough"...... *sigh*....... stupid art.... not all.... But most.... its like what on earth is that...... HOW IS THAT ART?..... (and back on to Picasso... I still like alot of his work.... but some of it is just.... ehhh what is that even supposed to be.... its just a poorly draw bunch of shapes..... why is this special?)

When a baby cries on a plane, sometimes I wish the cabin crew were allowed to knock babies out cold, I was stuck on a 7 HOUR transatlantic flight with a baby that didn't stop crying 'til we touched down at Heathrow, even my noise-cancelling headphones failed to filter out the crying, if only we weren't evolutionarily hardwired to hate it.

I'm normally lenient for some stuff...but some BASIC things we learned in, what, 3rd grade, I find appalling (your/you're being my biggest, among others).

 

When your post is nearly illegible, I can't/won't even bother reading it. If you can't take the time to make sure people can understand you, I'm not taking the time to decipher your writing.

When you're playing a game (ex: Minecraft, Simcity 4) and it crashes. You didn't save anything, you have to start all over again!

Spelling and grammar errors annoy me a lot. Though, I am not the best with grammar, but I do try my best.

I can't stand when people mispronounce something that is to be said in a specific way.

Slow drivers make me rage.

People speeding around me and then going slow is another one.

You want to know what REALLY annoys me? What REALY ticks me off? What REALY blows my fuse? When I see people disrespecting our flag. Each time I see someone simply toss ahold and worn flag into a fire pit instead of a proper utensil or let he flag drg across the ground, my resect for them lowers. I don't care who you are. THIS. I nearly beat my former roommate over it. Instead of just following cooking instructions, he's just hit the "10 minute" dedicated button that was on the model we had, and stand there until he decided it was ready, usually leaving 7 or 8 minutes of time left. He always asked me why I violently twitched when he did that. (That's what happens when I get annoyed, I have one large, very violent involuntary whole-body twitch.)

 

There's a whole book of things that annoy me, but for some reason I'm drawing a blank at the moment. I'll post later when it all comes to me.

 

EDIT: Oh wait, one of my big ones just came to me; when people misuse "your" and "you're", in addition to "there", "their" and "they're". It pisses me off to the point I will make a comment/post only to criticize them for it, and in a very rude way. Issues, I have them.

I make an exception for foreigners, one for the the reason you posted, and two, it takes time to learn a new language properly and errors can be forgiven.

Exactly, there are people who are like, 17, born and raised in an English-speaking country/area, who have been going to school, that make kindergarten-level mistakes! It's ridiculous. And I know someone may use a homophone for a word and that can be a typo; I've done it a few times, but you can tell when someone is just using the wrong word, because they'll obviously do it frequently.

It REALLY annoys me when people bully/insult/harass people for things they can't help, like disabilities or sexual orientation, sometimes I just want to strangle people who do that.

 

Another thing that just annoys me is when people take opinions as personal insults, like if I were to say that I preferred Battlefield over Call of Duty (I don't play either of them, It's Counter-Strike all the way for me ) then I'd get loads of people raging at me and saying stuff like "OMFG ur such a F***ing retard CoD is way better than that pile of S**t Battlefield!!!1!" Why people react so harshly to somebody having a different view to them baffles me.

-The words "bigot" and "homophobe" being tossed toward anyone who has a disagreeable viewpoint, even if said disagreeable viewpoint is shared respectfully and intelligently

-On that note, anyone who thinks that insults or ad hominums belong in a civilized discussion or debate
