some countries, i think all Scandinavian ones, celebrate Christmas on the eve, as opposed to the day of it. so, we get our gifts a day earlier before you because we're superior.

Yeah, I'm part German and it's also German tradition to celebrate on Christmas Eve.

 

I got:

A new sowing machine (brace yourselves, many cosplays coming XD)

1TB HDD

Laptop/school bag (better then it sounds XD)

A3 Sketch pad

chocolates (Ferrero Rocher, my gunstelling <3)

 

Tomorrow I celebrate Christmas with my grandparents, I always get money from them.

All I know is that I'm definitely getting one 3DS game. If my parents have stuck to my list then it'll be Mario Kart 7 or Super Mario 3D Land. If they haven't stuck to my list I'll be disappointed. It also looks like I'll be getting some money from my parents, so I should have enough to buy an iPad 2 on Boxing Day (I only need £50).

I got this outfit right here as one of my gifts. Although I have more clothes that I haven't taken pictures of yet.

 

Oh and some swanky new headphones! $20 ones. :3 My mom also got me new curtains, a carpet, and a nice blanket for my bed. All of which are red, my favourite colour.

 

Probably the first time I haven't gotten something video game related. But I don't really mind. Money's a bit tight now anyways and I needed the clothes more.

 

I think my boyfriend's gonna get me some jewelry. I am not certain yet, but the boy insists on getting me something. It'll probably be late, but I'm okay with that. And my friends are going to do some drawings for me, I'm sure.

I asked for some DVD’s and gas cards (which Ikr is borrring), but after I paid my last bill I though they'd be helpful lol Nobody really knows about my interest in MLP so nothing pony related, although I'm slowly getting accustomed to liking some of the merch out there. I didn't receive anything for Christmas this year, seeing as both my friends and family are on a pretty tight budget, but I don't mind at all. I'm just happy I was able to spend the day with my family, since I havent seen them in so long. I may go and get myself a new graphics tablet and headphones to replace the ones I've lost, that can be my Chrissy present to myself.

 

Overall I'm happy that I'm finishing this December on such a positive note, and am looking forward to a fresh start next year.

Got three books (Twilight would be happy! One of them was the new Guinness world records book, been getting a new one since '06), A Russian hat (fake, but really fuzzy and warm!), a new wallet with a Swiss army knife, an electric razor, and a box of legos.

I got a Rarity brushable from my parents! How did they even know? It's not like my brother and I talk about the show all the time and once specifically mentioned our pony preferences (Rarity for me, Fluttershy for him) to our mum at one point!

 

My brother also knitted me a dice bag in Rarity's colours, and bought me a set of fancy steampunk dice. Considering the kind of awesome presents I've got so far I've basically committed myself to buying post-Christmas presents in order to make up for my lackluster gift-giving. Heck, I couldn't even wrap my brother's presents because I didn't have enough wrapping paper. I am bad at Christmas.

Same here, though my family doesn't do much in the way of gifts at the best of times.

 

Our unspoken rule,

"Once you turn eighteen, it's time to get a job and start buying presents for both yourself and the people younger than you"

 

That doesn't stop me from buying my parents tickets to the yearly Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert down here, though.

it turns out that the 3DS game was Super Mario 3D Land which I've been enjoying so far. I also got the book Inheritance which I've read a few chapters of now. I got lots of other small presents and quite a lot of money/giftcards. I now have enough money to buy an iPad tomorrow and I may also pick up a smart cover for it and Mario Kart 7.
