Dreams are recollections of your day, or at least hormonal concoctions that where the same you had that day, repeated in your dreams to "Solve". PTSD really isn't something that should be thrown around..

Ah ok, makes sense. I suppose it depends on whether you think there is something distinct about our consciousness that isn't apart of our biology like a soul. I'm not sure whether I believe that or not.

Sharks. I can't watch Jaws(1975) or any monster/giant shark movies by myself. However, I understand it's a classic movie almost 37 years ago, It still scares me. The giant shark, oh no, oh no. Even If it's fake! Still scares me like hell!

Pain. I absolutely fear pain. When it happens I'm not afraid, but I have this phobia of what causes pain. I take measures against getting hurt. Obviously I don't try that hard, I have cut towards myself. I'm a genius, and I was in boy scouts told not to do that for ages. Yeah. Don't do it. I'm a living example. Long story short we had to drive 30min from our camp site to the ER. Of course getting cut didn't hurt for the adrenaline, but the pain didn't bother me once it was there. If I don't know what is causing the pain I freak out inwardly, while outwardly poker face describes me quite well. For example I get pain in my side "APPENDICITIS, PNEUMONIA, OMG I'M SO SICK." Yeah, that's basically what I do.

 

Failure. Rejection. I have social anxiety so rejection is terrifying. Getting a bad grade, being insulted, I have a huge emotional reaction. It's been wired into me, the failure is from a lot of misinformation from mom that if I don't get great grades that I wont do well later on. I was told this sort of thing over and over so failing one grade feels like I was just told I was fired and lost my home. As for rejection that was just that I was so often insulted sometimes the only way to get any compliments was to get depressed, so I'd cry and say morbid things so people would correct me. Only now when that happens do I see voluntarily what is happening.

This spoke to me in ways i could not imagine...an endless dream after death...that sounds quite a bit more favorable to me than my thoughts about death. I fear that my mind will cease to be aware of itself, and i cannot imagine not being self-aware...so it scares me. I would rather have my thoughts still, my mind or soul or whatever, even if al ltehre is is the darkness of eternity, for then i may drive myself mad as many times as i wish.

Have you ever seen the 1950's movie "The Fly?" Well, if you haven't watch it. It's a good movie, although scary as shit if you're an insectophobe (like me).

 

So basically... that. I'm afraid that if teleportation is ever invented, a fly will get in with me, and I'll be transformed into a hideous monster.
