Well, Slice of Life came and took this spot for me. I'm hoping forever. I'm hoping that they never sink anywhere near that low ever again.

There's a few that I didn't like that much, but two episodes that were just really bad to me were Rainbow Falls and the Breezy episode.

People praised Rainbow Falls because of Derpy and some of the background characters getting a chance in the spotlight (like Bulk Biceps interacting with Fluttershy), but it was just... ugh. I didn't like it. And the Breezy episode... no. NO. I've sat through Mysterious Mare-Do-Well, A Bird in the Hoof, Owl's Well, and any other episode that's not well-liked, but this one was hard to watch. I was actually convinced of just shutting it off and not continuing, but I forced myself to watch it to the end. It was just annoying. >o<

Putting your hoof down irritated the heck out of me. For obvious reasons. If you make Pinkie cry then you've pulled a very deep string! It kinda made me not be as sympathetic toward Fluttershy when she's in distress.

May the best pet win was pretty useless and boring to me. I don't really care about their pets.

B-but how.... Most people love that episode!

I hated it because it had bad morals and it made me dislike Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie, my favorite ponies. It also almost turned me off the whole show in general; it could have prevented me from becoming a brony, witch is quite terrible :o That's just my opinion though.

  • Owl's Well that Ends Well is still a top least favorite of mine. I agree wholly to the popular opinion of it even though I do really like Owlowiscious.

Not a huge fan of Putting Your Hoof Down, tbh- it seemed like another cookie cutter case of Fluttershy being pushed to the edge again. That was the lesson I guess.

Ticket Master is remains my most boring episode. I haven't re-watched it to this day since 2011.

it had bad morals

Dragonshy's moral — face your fears — is actually good. Fluttershy is mortified of dragons, but when her friends were in danger, she stepped in and confronted him. Fear isn't something rational all the time; sometimes when your fear is humungous, it can be crippling. Dragons is one example. Although she faced her fears here, it doesn't mean she'll be completely over it.

The problem isn't the moral itself, but the presentation instead. Even though 'Shy is visibly frightened, nobody notices it. Secondly, the ReMane Five antagonized him, and he defended himself. If anything, she should've put some blame on her friends for trying to hurt him rather than blame him completely.

Slice of life is without a doubt the worst episode in the history of MLP.

Nah... Slice of Life was just mediocre. Not necessarily well written, but just a thank you and love letter to the fans, and so shouldn't be judged as you would a normal episode. There were plenty of worse episodes out there that flanderise characters and that don't have the excuse of being a landmark celebration...

No, just no. I don't care if it's a thank you letter to the fans or not because that kind of shit shouldn't matter. You shouldn't ignore every flaw in an episode simply because "it's a thank you to the fandom". Especially not if you´re going to complain about another episode.

Well, her friends ignoring her was one of the problems. Also, after the events, everyone mocked her for being timid. It was as if none of the other charecters learnt anything. I just found the episode pretty shallow compared to other episodes. It also tried to make attempts to add humor to Fluttershy being so scared of everything. All I felt for Fluttershy in this episode was pitty. I wasn't exactly satisfied after watching the episode; only irritated.

But even if you do judge it as another regular episode it isn't that bad, just mediocre. If you hate the pandering, fine. If you hate the background characters, fine. But there are plenty of great moments like celestia/luna actually acting like Sisters, Vinyl and Octavia's music and Gummy's monalogue that help redeem it. Compare it to episodes like Putting Your Hoof Down and Rainbow Falls, that completely butcher the mane six and have no redeeming qualities, and you can see that whilst the episode can be interpreted as bad, it isn't god-awful and is far from the worst.

That's your opinion, not mine. You find Vinyl and Octavia's music and Gummy's monologue to be redeeming qualities, I don't (in fact those moments just made it worse for me).

(edited)

Party Pooped is currently my least-favorite of S5.

Prince Rutherford keeps invoking Disproportionate Retribution (and ends-up a Karma Houdini just because friendship), and Pinkie's journey is pointless in the end. But at least the humor is enough to stop it from being one of the worst ever.

I agree Slice of Life is the worst. It's so bad that it actually makes the entire series look worst

My least favorite episode is have to be castle mania. It makes the mane 6 look like they are terrify of everything. Even though they attack quite a lot of monster.

Nah, there are worse episodes like Boast Busters and Ticket Master that make the show look worse. This is because they are extremely early on, meaning new people giving the show a chance have to watch them, and so they are more likely to be turned off the show for good. 100 episodes in isn't nearly as important as the first few episodes

Without question, my least-favorite episode of the entire series is Feeling Pinkie Keen.

There are a handful of episodes that I don't like for one reason or another, but Feeling Pinkie Keen is the only one that I hate, and it's because it contains the worst moral of any episode to date.  It actively discourages critical thinking skills and it gives the impression that blind faith should trump reason.  Ignorance is never a virtue, but this episode suggests that sometimes you shouldn't look for a logical explanation.  Of course I get that all of this takes place in a fictional fantasy-land where real-world physics don't apply, but I still think the lesson that Twilight was forced to learn was wrong.  I would even go so far as to call it irresponsible.

I'm not arguing or disagreeing, merely offering my perspective on the episode.  What I understood from the episode is that sometimes you have to let go when you (as in you specifically) don't have the means available to fully understand something.  I just saw it as being able to admit that you cannot figure something out.  Not that you shouldn't try, because she learned that she wouldn't be able to understand Pinkie's weird sense by attempting to understand it using all the means that she had.  As a scientist, I can get behind that because you can get caught up in a specific pursuit and miss out on doing a something more productive and educational.  No worries though, I can see where you are coming from and don't want children to get that message from it as opposed to what I gathered.

I think the absolute least favorite episode would be any of the Rainbow Dash ones, such as 28 pranks later, or Newbie Dash. But she was also in Non-Compete Clause which is the one where she argues with Applejack to become the top teacher, while the students are almost losing their lives! Absolute nightmare episode!
