I don't think the word "swag" is as bad as people say. While yes some people who say it are actual very arrogant like the definition explains... It can also now be considered a compliment because in this day and age a person's respect for themselves is seen as a very positive thing. From what I see in the music industry (rap, hip hop mostly), this is most often true considering the type of music that is popular right now.

Sure, people do take it overboard with everything and that kind of makes it annoying, but if you want to think with that logic you give people a reason to hate every overused thing out there.

 

Think of it this way, most people dislike the word because it is so overused and because people use it at random moments to fit in, but a brony-hater/troll could use that same logic to say that ponies are overused and used as random filler, thus giving them a reason to hate it. Just my thought process here I guess, it's just the first thought that came to mind when reading most of the topic.

 

And to the people saying this generation is bad, ignore them; there are thousands of people in our generation that are worth keeping it alive for, despite the people that ruin it. The great phenomena about society and how class structure works (a common need for animals of all sorts to group themselves based off of similarities/differences/strengths/weakness/talents) is that the "bad" have a tendency to group with the "bad" and that in turn the good will become grouped with the good. Just saying that it becomes bearable when you think about how everything manages to balance itself out in the end.

I agree.. However, this is the internet and not ever bronies think things through. Get on the hate train! Lets ride to the next generation and complain how things used to be better.

 

ANYWAY, back to SWAG.. I think it is appearance and style.. You know, bit like how those 360 noscopers think they are 1337. I don't understand the dislike the word itself gets, but then again i do not follow mainstream that much, so i barely ever heard the word. Until.. ponies..

 

All i can say is that when using the word Swag, you better have it or people will hunt you down as if you were Justin Bieber.
