I have to say that Blops or MW3 is my favorite that is out right now. TF2 is also a good game. i have never played Halo so idk about that. i am really looking forward to Blops 2 because it has a non linear story line which is kind of different for a fps campaign.

I always enjoyed the Killzone series more than any of the games on that list. It doesn't mean I don't play any of those games, but I just didn't enjoy them as much.

I absolutely love TF2. I can only play the Orange Box version though. My computer just isn't good enough to handle graphics in PC games. It's nice enough though, since there's usually always at least seven servers running, for the PS3 version. It's also become sort of a little community, since I see a lot of familiar PSN names on there nightly. It's a shame it has a tendency to lag on some days though.

Team Fortress 2. No question, no doubt in my mind, it will stay my favorite FPS game of all time. The game has charm and personality. (Not too common for a Multiplayer exclusive game.) Plus, the game modes are incredibly fun as well. All the characters are just bursting with personality, and I can like them.

 

Goldeneye 007 (Wii, 360, PS3 version) was a great experience as well. Yes, I've played the N64 version, but I like the remake alot more.

I'm torn between Halo and Tribes. The appearances are very similar in the games but Tribes is so much faster paced. I havnt played Halo in so long though, I'm just waiting for halo 4.

 

I agree with this man that Tribes is, indeed, the greatest shooter ever.

My vote is going to have to go with Battlefield 3 it just grabs my attention more than the other games.

 

But if someone says "whats better BF3 or CoD?" I would probably say they are completely different games so I cant really say.

I would say Serious Sam would be the best shooter, it mixes the elements of a classic shooter and a bullet hell, though in second place I would put DOOM

Counter Strike isn't in here and that disappoints me. Every shooter owes something to it, and I've had more fun on it than any shooter I've ever played (the Source version specifically).

Counter Strike: Source, Killing Floor, or Battlefield 3. Those are all awesome games that I love to play from time to time and such.

Meh, I'm not that big of an FPS fan, they're all mostly the same and I find their multiplayer modes not that great. My favorite first person series would probably be the Metroid Prime Trilogy though, which is much more adventure than shooter(also, MP2 is the best one ), and I also tend to enjoy rail shooters and some bullet hell games, I'm weird like that. So with that, I give a loud and resounding 'other'.

Generally I find PC shooter games a lot better because the mouse offers a smoother, quicker and cleaner response than analogue sticks. I vote Unreal Tournament haha

Haha, anyway. I'm much better at Halo(1) than TF2 but I love both.

I don't know which to vote though. I always screw around (usually by myself. :foreveralone: ) on LAN maps on Halo and that's always fun. Now if only I could find that CD again.. I love the different characters in TF2 though even though I suck horribly at it.

Doom. It simply doesn't get better. Sure the graphics aged like milk but the gameplay is awesome. There is still an online community (ZDaemon FTW) and it led to quake, which in turn led to Team Fortress, Half Life, etc. It still has mods made for it as well as maps ffs and the game is going on being 2 decades old.

 

Edit: Not to mention that its been ported to just about everything with a CPU in it.

The first UT was so awesome. Still is, of course. I haven't played it in a long time, but I do have fond memories of getting a few buddies and destroying people online
