gaming Favorite Generation of Pokemon?

I know its a remake of red and blue. I just want them to make a remake like they did for Silver and Gold. You know weather changes night gameplay Espeon and Umbreon, More pokemons two regions more battles kicking golds ass on top of a mountain, getting Rayquaza, Lugia, Ho-oh, and a crap ton of other legendaries. All in 3-d, WITH Black and white level graphics. (Except for when your battling the pokemon you use looks WAY to pixelated. I would like it much better if your pokemon had a bit better sprite other than looking like a bunch of squares...) That would be a game I would pay 60$ for.

I see what your saying but it's a bit too soon to remake Red and Blue because they already had remakes in 3rd gen. Also fighting Gold would make no sense because if it's a remake Gold wouldn't be a Pokemon trainer yet because Gold and Silver take place 2 years after Red and Blue.

The next remake is Ruby and Sapphire there's no doubt about it. The question is when will they make it? My guess is 6th gen because if it was going to be in 5th gen they would have announced it already. Plus being in 6th gen means it would probably be on the 3DS which would be even better.

This my friend, should totally be a poll. Anyways, my favorite Pokémon generations are the first. I like all others soo except the newest gen. It's stupid, imo.

The only seasons of the pokemon anime I enjoy are the first 2. The second is certainly my favorite though because Tracy is beast XD

and my favorite generation of Pokemon is the 3rd because the pokemon in that game are soo different/cool. I hated the pokemon in the 4th besides Bidoof. I don't mind the 5th gen either

I think we can agree on one thing. Nintendo needs to make an MMORPG of Pokemon where you can...

  • Customize your OWN character. (I hated that stupid hat in fourth gen D&P.)
  • Go to ALL the regions. (I would be all like :3 if I could suddenly fly from Kanto to Unova)
  • Make it so that you can battle any trainer on there. Like if you see another player go up to him and be like. "Wanna battle?"
  • Make the characters 3-D I like the pixelated games for handhelds but for an actual online game I would like to see my character a bit more.
  • Comepete in contests, Battle tent, Battle frontier, Battle subway Etc. Etc.
  • Improve the battle scenes. I dont mean like pokemon colloseum. I mean like having them not just stand in one place I want them to move around and fight and I hate to say it. LIKE THE ANIME!!!
These are just a few things I would like to see...
  • Brohoof 2

See, I'm Greed. I want everything you can think of. Money and women, power and SEX. I want everything this world's selling! and immortality's topping the list!

1st gen has the best Pokemon design, but I always felt that the games themselves are nothing more than a stepping stone and all future games surpassed it. It was also very glitchy and had some mechanics fixed in all other installments

Gen 3 probably takes it for me, it added the most innovations in the series, it looks better than any other pokemon game since the 3D in the DS games often looks blocky and ugly, and most of all, Unnessacary. Also VASTLY improved gen 1 remakes. Competitive play also spawned in this gen

The Games:

Yellow, Crystal, Fire Red, Emerald, Soulsilver and White are my favorite so far.

The Anime:

Up to generation 3, and all the movies.

The Manga:

All of the gens!

My favorite is the generation with Red/Blue/Yellow. However, I admit that may be because that's what I grew up with and it may be nostalgia that is making me say that.

If you want me to respond, please quote me.

I apologize for any inconvenience but for the time being my MLP stop motion project is on hold.

The Hoenn Pokémon, by a pretty long way. I know it's popular to hate on Gen 3, but Pokémon like Swellow, Mightyena and Lotad will always be amongst my favourites.

I'd probably go for Gen 3, 4, 2, 5/1 if someone randomly forced me to put them in order.

  • 1 year later...

My fav. gen

I would say 6,

because it had brought out so many things that the fans wished for, character customisation, diagonal running, some kick-ass themes, fairy types that could easy beat the original tough guys, you could also interact more with your pokemon, and they finally explained why you can't jump over the trees instead of cutting them.

But it was also IMO a very easy game as opposed to other gens.

@@Vampire_Pony, just a heads-up that I've merged your thread with this larger one that already exists. This keeps all the responses in the same thread :) Please use the search feature to check for existing threads in the future - thanks.

I have to agree that the newer episodes have gone down the toilet. The Kyurem movie I actually found enjoyable since it has Vic Mignogna, who is well known for his role as Edward Elric as Keldeo. I still say Keldeo looks like he should be in MLP. As for my favorite season, it has to be until they changed all the actors.

As for the games, I prefer the first three generations since the stories are just awesome! The third generation is my #1 favorite of the group. Mainly because it included not only Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed and LeafGreen, but it also had Coliseum and XD. Coliseum is one of my favorites! Even more so now when I know how to forever have the master ball~ ;)

Black 2 and White 2 have to be the most redundant because all they did was add a few forms and towns and the story was crap. The only good thing I like is Curtis/Yancy because they give you awesome Pokémon for whatever. I still want a 3DS and Pokémon X because from what I've seen of my friend play, it is AWESOME! Yeah it's lacking in the new Pokémon department and the Mega Evolution is kinda stealing off Digimon but whatever! I'm going to keep buying the games until the day I die and maybe a few years after that.

Gen 2 is my favorite, as it was my first. Silver was my first game ever, so the nostalgia I get from those games makes Gen 2 my favorite. I love all the Generations though, I just like 2 the best.

Well, im sure we ALL love the first gen...but thats our childhood, so cut that. My most favorite would be Gen 2 or 4. I like Gen 2 because here was some GREAT Pokemon and my favorite Pokemon, Suicune, is gen 2. I do like gen 4 as well, because they have great pokemon, even for being newer. I dont care what anyone says, i like the newer gens...even though I cant keep up >.< so much to remember.

Me personally, I loved the 3rd and 4th generations, since that's when I was really into the Pokemon games (more specifically FireRed, Emerald, and Diamond/Pearl). :D
