I wonder if i'm working for halloween this year?

Either way it's the one time i can dress-up to work.

 

Maybe i'll have a horror movie marathon this year, i personally prefer monster movies, anybody like the Hammer films?

I know its not Halloween yet, but I wanted to make this because somepony was gonna beat me to it and im really excited for it because its gonna get cold, and I love the fall leaves. What is everypony going as or doing for Halloween?

I'm a little too old for trick or treating, so I'm just going to hang out at home, play some horror and Psychological horror games and watch some horror movies. I like the coldness, but trick or treating has always been awful for me...people would enjoy making fun of me when I actually put effort into my costume, so I gave up. But, I will probably go out and buy some candy and just relax in my room with all the lights off.

I didn't go trick or treating last year because I was too lazy, but this year I'm going for it! I don't know whether to do something MLP related or not. I don't think it go over well. I guess I'll just dress up as Pac Man... Again... Hahaha

 

And then afterwards, spend the rest of the night watching Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas with my family. It's a tradition.

I'm doing nothing for Halloween. I'm just going to sit in my room and post on these forums. Not buying candy, not dressing up, and not even going to acknowledge the existence of anyone outside. They want candy? Then they can go somewhere else. I'm not giving jack.

I like having a costume about, so I'll probably work on my Spartan Armor some more and wear my altered Vinyl Scratch hoodie around for laughs. (Its almost done, got it figured out, just need to get some eyelets and start stitching  )

But living in a very out of the way farming area.. few kids are left now that we've all grown up. So I'm lucky if i see my Nephew about sadly

 

Plus i've been working nights the past few years.. luckily this year i may be able to enjoy it

 

Only thing I hate is how this simple, fun holiday, is being usurped like many others

Ruining the fun of trick-or-Treating with shut ins at the church or school, and playing it beyond safe and outright into the martial control instead of the freedom that it once was for kids.
I understand the risks out there, but if we build our lives around those risks than we forget to LIVE. and guarding our kids the same prevents them from having a life

Im going a a WWII Marine, my friend is just gonna put his ACU on and I dunno what my cousin and his friend are going as, were going to the mall so what I might do is get my gear on and go put to people and ask for the year, my back story is I was part of the 1st Marine Division in Guadalcanal, big explosion and ended up in the parking garage. lol

This is where I usually regroup with all my friends and get all the remaining candies at every houses, because all the kids went home.

So well, it's fun, laughing with my friends.

 

For my costume, I have no idea, I usually make something at the last minute.

Maybe I will dress up and walk around with my friend in her neighborhood while her little sisters trick-or treat or something.. maybe I'll get a costume and wear it for like a halloween event or something like last year and not do anything for the actual holiday.. :/

My neighborhood only has a few kids, and my house is kinda isolated in the neighborhood so not a lot of kids come to my house for candy or anything. Oh well. 
Costume ideas = whatever I find that I want. And I'm picky so thats not a lot xD It has to fit, and be able to buy and stuff. 
Maybe I should be an anime character? Or something? I'm indecisive, it will take a lot of time before I figure something out.

Taking my son trick or treating.  Not sure what we're dressing up as yet.  I was a fish last year, lol.  My cousin is convinced that she's taking me to a Halloween party, but I'm not going to any party

Well, I had a few ideas for this year, all of them involve me dressing up around the college.

 

The first one is making a costume of John Defoe from the Chzo Mythos series. It's fairly easy and effective, a cleaver, some fake blood, an apron, black sweater+pants and an orange apron.

 

My other choice is a scientist from the Megaman Battle Network series and I think I'm going with that. I'll get my lab coat, toy PET and maybe my safety goggles and clipboard and I'm good to go! I could also alter my costume slightly and wander around the medical wing in complete stealth... although anyone can really walk around there anyway

It's officially Halloween Time at Disneyland as of today. Halloween is just before my birthday (October 14th) and is my favourite holiday. I'm going as Dipper Pines this year.

Halloween is something I haven't actively participated in since I was in my early teens, at the latest. Now that I'm no longer living in the sticks, quite a few kids come to the door for candy these days. I'm content to give it to them and just hang out here. The only exception would be to attend a Nightmare Night-themed meetup. My meetup group had one last year and I'm hoping they do again this year.

I haven't gone trick-or-treating in years.  Most of the places around here try to prohibit neighbourhood events and are trying to urge people trick-or-treating at the local malls, "For the safety of their children."  I do enjoy the homeware and decor that the stores tend to sell around this time of year.  I seem to favour all of the fall-theme items and "quirky" items about the house...

I'm 25 and freakin love Halloween. I go out every year and still get candy..I mean TOO OLD FOR FREE CANDY!? NEVER! I'll even trick or treat with my kids if I ever have them..also I plan on dressing up as Mankind from when wrestling was good.

I wish I could experience the feeling you all have. Where I'm from, almost no one celebrates Halloween and you end up looking like a weirdo when you attempt a trick or treat on someone, especially in a costume. What makes it worse it that no one else does it so it's considered unsafe. Most people would just go "Ah, I have nothing to give you" and ask you to leave. Halloween is generally ignored here sadly. From what you're all describing, it sounds very fun.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, surpassing even Christmas. Unfortunately, I live in an older section of my neighborhood and the sissy-ass parents from the new section don't like to trick or treat down my end of the block because there's no street lamps. Ugh. They've also been moving the trick or treating hours in my town to earlier and earlier so that kids don't have to stay up past sundown. I swear, my town is trying to turn the holiday of scares into the holiday of squares.

I'm pretty sure i'm gonna try and trick or treat with a couple of friends. One of my friends is going as the 10th doctor and me and another one of my friends are gonna be Virska and Kankri. I'm pretty excited!!!
