Things You Dislike About the MLP Fandom

Now I use safe search on google when I am doing that.

You really should have done that from that start but I guess sometimes you have to learn things the hard way.

 

They should put a "I agree I am 18 or older" Button.

On most sites I have been to that allow that sort of material they already have that and other filters for "mature" content, there are some irresponsible jackasses out there that post it where it dosen't belong or don't tag it appropriately but I simply haven't found that kind of material unless I looked for it.

I've posted in this thread already, but I'm posting again because I'm a lazy jerk and I don't feel like finding my original post.

 

Anyway, I also dislike the overdramatic bronies. Y'know, the ones who have "coming out" stories. It is an animated television program. Not some super important thing.

 

Also, "Derpygate" was one of the stupidest and most overblown things that ever happened in any fandom.

There are a few things i truly hate about the fandom:

 

1. The massive amount of Misanthropy and pony worship.

2. The raging and whining about pretty much everything.

3. And the hating on cloppers, haters, rule34/grimdark/gore art, bad fanfics,trolls, sometimes hasbro and many others too. Every fandom has to deal with this. Whining and complaining won't do anything except encouraging them.

Remember Rule 19: The more you hate it, the stronger it gets.

Bronys that bring pony's into every thing like D&D, Can't be done if you want to run a game with pony's you have to remake the whole world and seeing people roll play it is kinda off putting, like i witnessed 3 game's and when the game got to hard because one of the character's couldn't climb a ladder they "Fixed the issue" by having him "Magically" float up there along with 500lb's of gear and 10,000 gold coins. o and prire to this they got saved by Celetia... Down in some oh idk 900 ff down cave that nobody knew before hand, Just magiclly appeared and went pew pew and had a talk and pew pewed some more and left.

 

Brony's who claim illness because of something they do, Something they think can be excused like being as ass, or having some story that relates to every thing that happened in there life. i for one have like one thing but it's w/e doesn't bother me much.

 

Brony's who claim that clopping is something other then a fancy word for masturbation to a drawing or fan fiction of something depicted in a show known as Mlp, Please shut up about it and look at the world it's NOT new and there's nothing wrong with it, just because a few of you cultist's thing it is doesn't mean it is.

 

Also the "Super Brony's" or whatever you call it, People who Sing the damn song in a line to get a membership into a convention known for SIFI not hard to shut you're damn trap and sing something like... Blue oyster cult or some theme that didn't get so loud i hear you're singing over my head phones. i asked the guy to stop he said "Do you need a hug troll?"... i hate kids sometimes parent just sat there,

I hate the bronies that search older generations on Youtube and make comments like: ''This is crap!! FIM is way better than this piece of sh*t''. Seriously, if you can't even have respect for the thing that brought you this amazing cartoon... I also hate those who say to everyone who likes the show and don't call themselves bronies that: ''Man! You like My little Pony! That makes you an automatic brony''. And last but not least, those who spam everyone with ponies when it's not talked about. Oh and Rule34 too, I hate that thing...

I dislike when people argue over who is best pony.

People have their preferences and that is of course fine so long as things remain civil which for the most part has been the case in this fandom more often than most fandom I have been in. I have made no secret that Applejack has been my favorite pony since I first started watching but Twilight Sparkle and Luna eventually tied with her so I can somewhat agree with all ponies being loved. You know a show is good when there is a character for pretty much everyone.

There are various bronies who were clinically depressed, but My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic helped reestablish some people's self-esteem and cured their depressions.

 

The best example I can offer is this one, whose life was changed due to MLP:FIM and donated $630 to prove it.

There are some that go a bit far with that and imply that it has solved all their problem forever which I don't agree with but wisdom and understanding can come from some unexpected sources so what is wrong with a show bringing someone a little happiness? I know that ponies can't solve all my problems as only I can do that but in my case it did help a bit with my depression by reminding me that life is not all doom and gloom and helped bring back a creative side that I have neglected for far too long.

Personally and I'm pretty sure it might not exactly be a popular one, but I am annoyed by those who treat Lauren Faust as the End All and Be All authority on FiM especially on episodes made after she left the show. It undermines the credibility of the current Team and prevents their work being examined by their own merits.

I wish so much we'd get over alicorn Twily already. It's been almost 5 months since the announcement. I know it probably won't happen for a long time because it's a big change to the show and we're still speculating season 4, but it gets old.

We all have our opinions and we need to respect them. I would agree to a certain point that cloppers somewhat have a perversion of humanoid features on another species of animal(though you could take a toaster and make it R34, which is wierd).

 

I wouldn't necessarily say they are mentally disturbing, but they are something in that range. And this is my opinion.

Well, unless you have a degree in psychology then you can't make such assumptions. 

 

Any show could be considered therapeutically usable for mental issues. In fact, anything can. Making the assumption you made just seems to be ignorant mostly, though not in the offensive sense, but in the lack of information on the topic. Though, I will respect your opinion.

I'm...disturbed...by R34 and clopping.  I knew it was there, but had managed to successfully ignore it until I did a simple google search for a new Pinkie Pie wallpaper... I'm not hating anyone for their choices, I just cannot wrap my mind around turning something sweet and adorable into porn.

For me it's the perverted stuff...I just find it pretty revolting..I have never been on 4chan and never plain on going there.

It's also kind scary to search MLP online...Especially on sites like tumblr.

I dislike how rabid and/or obsessive some fans get about the show - from people trying to shove it down non-fans throats to the guy who wanted to marry a twilight plushie - it's  a little too crazy.

 

As for clopping, I have nothing against those who do it, but I don't like seeing it around sites where it shouldn't be. Also, anything explicit to do with the CMC or other clearly underage characters; it's very disturbing to me.

I think it's stupid that bronies post those kind of hate comments when they complain about haters doing the same on FiM videos. Also I thought that being a brony came a set of values of which "Being a dick about stuff you don't like" is not part of.

This show does change the life of a quite a few people. It does not cure depression, but it does help you get a more positive outlook on life in general, and that often is the first step towards healing a lot of injuries.

Honestly I can't think of anything I dislike about the brony community that is unique to this one. Having been a part of the elder scrolls video game fandom for a long time, I can say right off the bat that nothing in the brony community matches their infighting and level of fandumb. 

 

I do dislike the rule 34 group... but again they exist in every fandom, and are only really flagrant in this case because it's a kids show and because this is one of the first kids shows with such wide appeal, so they'll be more prominent in the eyes of the public than people who want ruler 34 of dora the explorer.

I don't hate some of them. There are people on the forum that clop and use 4chan, and those people are perfectly fine. However, i'm talking about the people that make us look like dogshit. They refer to anything that isn't pony ass warship as "Gay", "Retarded", and "Autistic". Then, they have to go ruin art with people in it by adding hoofs. But the best part of it all, they want to fuck real-life horses.

Cool. Well, I wanted to throw another little dislike for the fandom I had.

 

I dislike bronies who push ponies on other people who disagree with ponies.

If you find out they hate bronies, there is no real need to bug that person with pony material.

 

Lately I have been seeing some zealot bronies spamming places with ponies.

If there was anything that makes me embarassed to be in the fandom, it is that. I don't mind anything else, just show some respect.

I really don't like the people who freak out about every change that happens like Twilicorn or Equestria girls. It's okay to not like it but you don't need to go as far as sending death threats to the writers.

I can in no way relate to gore and violence soo I HATE things like the cupcake fanfiction and related art.
