Luna, who's clearly been stalking Scootaloo all night, invaded Rainbow Dash's dreams and somehow informed her of the incoming danger, and she either woke Dash up, or Dash then woke up herself. That's the theory I've seen going around.

This actually makes 100% sense, especially with her ability to enter dreams.

To be honest I actually kinda though when I saw that scene that Scootaloo would just end up falling down, but by the fact its a cartoon the worst thing is that he would be lost, then Rainbow dash would come looking for him.

But the ending they have right now is 20% cooler anyways :)

Wow. I'm having trouble keeping up with which episode is my personal favourite for this season, but this one sure takes the cake! Despite having to wake up at 2:00 in the morning here in Australia just to watch it, in summary, Scootaloo. Enough said. This episode had me watching from start to finish.

Some parts of this episode however got me a little creeped out, most notably the nightmare sequences and seeing Scoots scared beyond belief. Although there was a few light hearted moments as well, especially with Sweetie Belle putting on her adorable face and singing!

It was also nice to see the softer side of Scoots towards the end of the episode, especially when she was crying, which got me a bit misty eyed as well.

Overall, this episode ranks pretty high in my favourites.

Luna gets a cameo! And a few lines! And as if the episode couldn't be anymore awesome, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash being sisters is finally CANON?? omigod omigod omigod! I'm not even a huge Scootaloo fan (I like her; she's just not my favorite) and this episode almost brought me to tears! I'm happy for Scootaloo :)

Well, here is my review of the episode *spoilers ahead*:

Before the episode began, I was so happy that Madeline Peters (voice of Scootaloo) gets her own episode.

Alright, let's start with the beginning. In the beginning, Scootaloo is seen on her skateboard, flying through the town, missing Granny Smith. She hits a ramp and flies a bit (it is sort of like gliding, but we really don't know how long she could of kept flying). I was really happy about this. She was also complemented by Rainbow Dash. I liked how the episode began. It was a bit hilarious how Scootaloo could predict the future (I relised that about everything she said when talking to AppleBloom and Sweetie Belle came true). Maybe that could be her future.

The moment AppleBloom mentioned about the campfire and Rainbow Dash going, Scootaloo was in. I thought that Scootaloo would have some time with Rainbow Dash. Which would be great because Scootaloo never spends that time with Rainbow Dash and this will be super awesome and I am super excitied. I would just have to wait. So, back to the episode. I really liked how Sweetie Belle got to spend some time with her sister (along with AppleBloom spending time with her sister). The only thing I felt bad for is that Scootaloo had no sister. The closest to her was Rainbow Dash. I wish they mentioned a bit about Scootaloo's family. They need to do that along with Rainbow Dash's family. Hopefully Scootaloo doesn't have a home. Here is a song that I love, but I would feel bad for Scootaloo. Here is the link

Anyways. I am going to return back to the episode. So, let's get to the campfire. I kind of hated how the story was censored, but, it is a kids show. After the story, and Scootaloo started to get scared, I facepalmed myself cause there are now going to be more of Scootaloo begin a chicken memes than ever. I'm not going to like it. So, let me skip more, cause, the rest is mainly about Scootaloo being scared. So, after awhile of Scootaloo getting freaked out, they head over to a cave for the next campout. They arrive at night, which Scootaloo freaks out at. She than is told to gather some wood. Scootaloo had a hilarious freakout moment, saying she couldn't gather much wood (yet there are trees all around her).

After the campire was started, Scootaloo wanted to tell a scary story, but told a nice happy story (sort of like the lives of G3 ponies). Rainbow Dash interups her and tells everypony about the headless horse. Applejack had some fun and asked where would be the brain of the pony. Scootaloo has one more nightmare. Princess Luna gets to have some screen time and tells Scootaloo the reason why she is having her nightmares (Scootaloo is afraid of telling Rainbow Dash about her fears of the campire stories). Scootaloo confronts Rainbow Dash and tells her she wanted to be brave so she could be Rainbow Dash's sister and be took under her wing and teach her flying skills.

Everything works out great, and Scootaloo is Rainbow Dash's big sister. I think it worked out good and I really liked the ending for Scootaloo got to fly a bit with some of Rainbow Dash's support. I think the episode turned out great. Now, here is my rating of the episode:

8/10

I thought this episode was great, but, I thought that it wasn't that great that Scootaloo's family had no involvement in the episode. This can also mean that other members can write more about Scootaloo's family. I sort of hated how the stories were censored and were made short. Even though it was a kids show, it should of had some more of the story in there. The episode left me with more questions than answers which annoyed me. I liked how Scootaloo knows how to fly now, but still isn't there yet. If I was left with less questions, I would have rated this episode a lot higher. It seems like all my questions will most likely be answered in the last episode of the entire series (and I wouldn't want that to happen).

Luna is best extractor. Entering dreams is such a cool concept; now I don't feel so bad about her being left all alone at night.

Princess LUNA!!!! :D

So much happiness I cannot contain. Rainbow Dash is best pony, and Scootaloo is best filly. This... has got to be one of my favorite episodes ever. It's so cute how RD accepted Scoot as a sisterly apprentice.

I read fan-fictions of how Luna can enter dreams... I never knew it would be considered cannon... how frick'in awesome can Luna get... seriously. Each time her character gradually builds up, the more I'm amazed.

Since I haven't seen anyone else mention it... Am I the only one who noticed that when Scootaloo hurt her head, there was a chicken sound effect? That really struck me as a nice but relatively subtle fandom callout.

Most anything else I could say has already been said, but... As soon as I saw that glimpse of Luna, I knew she was going to be important somehow, and it was SO fantastically done. Luna has been needing to be shown performing some royal duties or whatnot (guarding Canterlot was a very small but decent start), and this is just perfect. Standing out from Celestia = glorious, she's being portrayed more properly as a princess in her own right

And then sweet Scootalove scene. Just beautiful. Though I couldn't shake the thought that a simple swap of someone else in Scootaloo's place = shipping. The partially closed eyes on RD, the physical proximity, etc. lol

Made me feel like looking up some cute shipping fics if I can find any. I've always pretty much avoided that stuff with MLP because I'm not interested in... physical relationships with this, lol. But relationship stuff in pony form would be awesome, so why not?

Anyway, I'm happy for Scootaloo as a character, standing out more on her on, plus character development, plus sister figure! I hope to see plenty of references to this in the future.

Now if they'll just reference some other past events/things, like they've been doing. Fluttershy and Rarity's relationship in Green Isn't Your Color being a prime candidate, in my opinion... >.>

Oh, and one more thing. I was disappointed we didn't get a real song, but Sweetie Belle's campfire song was still epic. Just as Sweetie Belle is best filly.

Rarity reminded me of Princess Vespa from Spaceballs :P but that episode was amazing!  I don't wanna wipe the tears of joy from the ending.  New favorite episode definately. (Yay Luna!)

What a great episode! Scootaloo was adorable and her admiration of Rainbow Dash, and the relationship they developed, was so sweet. Rainbow can be brash and thoughtless sometimes, so it was nice to her her soften towards Scootaloo. I loved Sweetie Belle, too, with the awful bucket of oats singing... and those big puppy eyes!

This was a really great episode, especially when Rainbow Dash said she was like Scootaloo at the end. It was strange when Princess Luna appeared and said she was training Scootaloo to face her fears. But the ending was soo sweet, when Rainbow Dash hugged Scootaloo with her wing. That was the most adorable thing I've seen so far.

Is it alright if I post the episode for people who haven't seen it yet? Just want to ask if there is a twenty-four hour limit or not.

Do you mean on youtube or here? Someone's already posted a link to it here but I don't see why you can't. And for youtube hey, the more the merrier. Insurance against it being taken down. Go for it ;)

Aww that episode was a wagonload of charming! Scootaloo has never done much for me, but she was pretty cute in this episode. I like what an earlier poster had to say, about RD being sort of oblivious and bad at reading feelings, but if somepony comes out and tells her how they feel, she can become pretty supportive (even if she still doesn't understand why they would feel that way, since she has rarely acknowledged her own insecurities)! RD's decision to take Scootaloo under her wing is... a pretty substantial decision for a pony who doesn't tend to want to get tied down to much. (Although I suppose her element is loyalty...) Anyway, go RD, very caring of you! I wonder if RD and Scoots are both orphans...? They are very similar, in my mind. Partly because if I ran into either of them I would probably think they were boys.

This episode had a nice combination of characters, although it was weird not to have Twilight show up at all. I like when she is in every episode, just to "glue" things together. But it was really cool to see the three "big sisters" and their little siblings out camping together. Applejack shows her caring nature and her badass camping skills simultaneously, and Sweetie Belle remains absolutely adorable, pulling along Rarity's luggage with a smile on her face, so happy to be spending time with her sister that she doesn't care if she is taken advantage of. Too bad RD and Rarity still didn't interact very much, as we don't really get to see much of that.

Does anyone think the order of episodes this season seems a bit careless? We have two RD-heavy episodes in a row, and later we will have two AJ-heavy ones in a row.

The order seems to be just something that they do actually. They did it in season 2, with 5 and 6 being Rarity heavy, 7 and 8 being Dash heavy and 14 and 15 being Applejack heavy. There might be even more examples, but those are the ones that pop out at me. Not quite sure why they're doing it but it isn't new.

I gotta say I'm loving the idea that Luna has the ability to enter dreams, thats just made her shoot right up the rankings with me. Also that could be a very useful thing for the writers to use in another episode... Like an episode where the mane 6 are caught in a dreamstate for example,

Definitely one of the best episodes of the season though.

Oh yeah and they even managed to expand on Applejack as a character too, more needs to be done but still... they're fixing multiple things at once :)

So, you know, I wasn't sure what to expect from this episode going into it. I avoided spoilers as I usually try to do, and I was thinking "Well it's going to be a Scootaloo episode finally? Let's hope it's better than a typical CMC episode."

To say that it was would be an understatement. This was probably one of the best episodes of the show.

What makes this episode so good? Well it's all about what really makes the show great: It's about the interelationships between the characters. Rarity and Sweetie Belle, Applejack and Apple Bloom, and now, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo--we get so much from all three of them.

I'm not the least bit surprised that Scootaloo turned out to be so easily scared. She is, after all, a child. Any child is going to be scared of the world--scared of what they see in the dark. Scoots has struck me in the past as possibly having a lot of anxiety, and this episode proves it too.

Throughout the episode we get such a great feeling for how she feels towards her friends and her friend's older sisters, as well as Rainbow Dash. Not to mention it's great to finally have such a good focus on her. She's been left out so long and she needed a lot of attention.

While I was initially bothered by Rarity's behavior in the episode, I realized that it was actually a strength of her relationship with Sweetie Belle. Sure, sometimes Sweetie has to manipulate Rarity into doing the things she wants Rarity to do, but then she gives so much back to Rarity--sometimes more than Rarity might deserve. Rarity gives back too though, as she did at the end.

Applejack and Apple Bloom didn't get too much time together, but that's okay considering all the times they've had in episodes past. What was really great about Applejack in this episode was how smart she was...I loved how she kept pointing out the obvious faults in Rainbow's Headless Horse story. (I almost expected Rarity and Applejack to make whispering asides about how they'd heard this story before, but sadly we didn't get any of that.)

Rainbow Dash stayed in character whilst simultaneously caring for Scootaloo at the end in a way I've been hoping to see from the show for a very long time now. Scootalove, Scootaloo seeing Rainbow Dash as an older sister...and Rainbow Dash obliging and see Scoots as her younger sister. It was so wonderfully beautiful.

From out of left field, we of course had Princess Luna, who shouldn't be forgotten. This I think very strongly implies what she's been doing this whole time that we haven't seen--she may have been visiting the dreams of who knows how many ponies, caring for them, helping them through nightmares and recover from their fears. Luna the Dreamwalker had me astonished, and yet it makes so much sense that I'm really falling in love with the idea. Here, she felt more mature, more caring, and more like the Princess she should be than she's ever been in the entire series--it was a brilliant move on the part of the writers to invoke her the way they did.

This episode was just phenomenal. I still need to watch it again to catch anything I might have missed the first time, but I'm looking forward to doing so. It's just so great.
