Ittoni 538 September 24, 2020 Share September 24, 2020 I've been 3 days without sleeping a bit and working at the same time, and it feels horrible because all the time you feel like fainting and you start to get cold as time passes. There's been times where I've gone through some weird insomnia spells where you cannot sleep and can go through the entire night either without any sleep or fainting for a few minutes at random during the night, can last months and you do start to get crazy and your head feels like exploding. So i would guess that it must be horrible regardless if you die or not from it. There's been stories of people actually dying from exhaustion and lack of sleep in my line of work... Just one day they fall to the ground and they were dead.
Early Sunsets 2,106 September 25, 2020 Share September 25, 2020 I wish. Sleep takes up so much valuable time. But people have died from sleep depravation, so sadly, no. We can't survive without sleep. 1 Rainbow Dash Fanatic "You stroll down memories of younger, brighter times 'cause you never realize what you've got till you leave it all behind." ~ dBPony "So we’re here at the end, did we teach you well, my friend? DixonTheAdversary 1,632 September 25, 2020 Share September 25, 2020 I can't survive without sleeping. I've never been able to stay up for 24 hours, and even if I could, I wouldn't be the nicest person to talk to then. Plus, I like to sleep, so I don't really mind it. Twilight Sparkle97 402 November 17, 2020 Share November 17, 2020 No. I can't survive without sleeping. In fact, I can't sleep without taking special medicine to help me sleep.

Luna the Great of all the Russias 2,980 November 17, 2020 Share November 17, 2020 To eliminate the need for sleep would be a great accomplishment. That is roughly gaining a third of our lives in time; time that can be spent being productive. Pony Art Thread Brony since ~25 July of 2011. Emerald Claus 24,848 November 17, 2020 Share November 17, 2020 Definitely. We definitely need sleep. Where the hell did you find that garbage information? One time, I couldn't sleep for an entire week and I ended up having a seizure the next day. Big thanks to @The Wife of Hawks, @Trix or Treatand @Splasheefor these images! I wasn't doing it on purpose, I just kept having nightmares. Also, it was actually pretty confusing for me because I haven't had a seizure in a LOOOOOONG time (I have epilepsy.) I was more confused than horrified. Big thanks to @The Wife of Hawks, @Trix or Treatand @Splasheefor these images!

There's no "watching out" for it. If it happens it happens. I do take meds though, but still... You can't "watch out" for seizures. They just happen. I would fall asleep briefly, have a nightmare, then wake up and not be able to go to sleep at all. Big thanks to @The Wife of Hawks, @Trix or Treatand @Splasheefor these images! Flying Pencil 3,024 November 30, 2020 Share November 30, 2020 (edited) You need sleep to live, without rest. Stress hormones and blood pressure will increase which can cause heart attacks and strokes. I got the information from this post https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/10/08/AR2005100801405.html Edited November 30, 2020 by Flying Pencil Accidentally made a mistake
