Beat Shock-OC Vector Experiment

I was just recently experimenting with Inkscape. I wanted to make a vector that kinda looked like a wall paper, so this isn't suppose to be very show-accurate. This was very hard for me, because I didn't know how to use the special effects well enough.

Please tell me what you think! Critiquing would be very nice!!!

The vector is really nice and the colour pallet works really well!   I remember trying to use inkscape... I got fed up with it pretty quickly. *hugs photoshop*

 

My only advice really is to work on your hand-drawn lines. But I guess it isn't too important if you're gonna make your art into a vector piece. Aside from that, great work!

this is actually really good! all thats missing is a background. idk when i close my eyes i see him on a beach in south america/ africa with a storm rolling in. at any rate, love this pony!

I love the colors in the colored vector, and the mane and tail look amazing!!!  Very cool to see somepony trying a new and different look with the texture of the mane/tail; very unique looking indeed!  Keep up the great work Beat Shock!!!

I have inkscape and i tried to use it, but my result wasn't as good as that. it was ok i suppose but still not the best. (the picture was of derpy)

I really, really love the shading that you did on the pencil sketch. If I could offer one critique, it'd be that the epic shading doesn't carry over perfectly to the color version.

 

However, that said, the color version is still awesome! I REALLY LIKE HIS MANE! :3 It is very unique and memorable without appearing like a lot of OCs by being over-the-top.

Looks very good, specifically the vector version. The body seems a bit too curved, seeing as the legs don't start in the picture, which they should. The tail also looks a bit less blown in the wind when compared to the mane and forelock.

 

Very good though!
