I personally think the introduction of Sci-Twi is one of those things that Equestria Girls had actually needed... At least to give me a reason to care about it

I actually really liked it. I just loved Twilight in the episode. I think the writers and animators did a really great job on portraying her emotions through the episode, especially the last part:

 

 

I'll admit, I even cried a little ;-;

I guess I just know the feeling of not being included.
