That is true. I think that headcanon was destroyed in Twilight's Kingdom. I doubt Twilight could still control the sun and moon and have high magic. 

 

I have a lot of headcanons about Rarity, some may seem offensive, (Rarity being transsexual) but I don't make any headcanon offensive intentionally.  (I'm transsexual myself.) 

as an English major I tend to overanalyze a lot of good stories for mlp I try not to do that if there is something going on I kinda wait until its really mentioned by the creator that it is so, I don't mind analyzing but when you do it all the time it tends to take the fun out of things :/
