Betez 1,734 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 (edited) Has anybody ever successfully been able to complete one? If so, how long did it take? I personally, have only gotten as far as completing one side. EDIT: I finally completed it at approximately 8:30 PM ET, on 3/9/13 Edited March 10, 2013 by /b/etez My OC Stay pony my friends"And ALWAYS remember...to never forget." - Someone who I'm sure has said this before I did
Shiki 5,855 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I can solve one in about a minute and ten seconds if things go smoothly. Fastest I ever got was ~45 seconds on a cube made for speed solving, and I was lucky just with the way the cube was mixed up. You'll be entranced by me ♥
Harmonic Revelations 8,835 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 My record for completing a rubik's cube is two minutes and thirteen seconds. I'm not fast at them at all. I don't think they are too hard but I don't think they're too easy.
Pony Joe 583 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 (edited) Solving one is a lot easier than you'd think if you know how. I haven't practiced in a while, but I think I would be able to solve one in about a minute if you handed one to me. I'd highly recommend using pogobat's tutorial on YouTube (starting with ) if you're interested in having a better understanding of the cube than just fiddling with it until you have one or two sides completed. Retro*Derpy 3,186 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I only did it once, and it took around 3 minutes. Though I have a friend who can solve a 4x4 usually around 15 seconds, which is pretty good in my book.
SørenWolf 227 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 (edited) I have completed one before. a couple of times. I was never very good and probably couldn't do it again if I tried. Though my...cousin in-law (that works right?) can do 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, but I think i stumped him with a 7x7x7. He could also do a 3x3x3 in...i think it was under 1 minute, 0:45 maybe. They can be fun, if you know what you are doing Edited February 10, 2013 by SørenWolf Why is it called Common Sense if it is not that common? Leafeon 2,702 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I have! It didn't take too long, seeing as someone had already finished it. So that was nice. It's not the hardest thing I've ever done. Spatsi 151 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 Rubik's cube? That's my hobby(I've got twelve cubes)! My best time is 15 seconds, but it usually takes me about 20 seconds. If you want to learn how, there are many good tutorials in the Internet. Alleviate 342 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 Rubiks cubes are.........Well. I've never completed one, that's how hard I find them, and I've pent ages on them! Yeah, I'm guessing I'm kinda useless at them, seein' as how everyone else has finished them...Ah well, I'll finish one one day...And it'll be a cause for celebration. CamRad18 337 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I used to get Rubik's cubes in my stocking for Christmas as a kid. I swear, it was like my parents wanted to drive their son insane. Guest February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I can make one in about 2 minutes. I learned it from Youtube a long time ago just because I was tired of not being able to do it. But then I got tired of not being able to solve this beast... So I learned to do that as well - from the same guy on youtube
Cocodrillo 1,565 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 I can do it but it takes me a while. It's not hard, really. Once you get into the system and get to know why is that colour on THAT place and where it will be with the move, it's easy. Try to try again To see yourself again from time to time. Virulence 254 February 10, 2013 Share February 10, 2013 Gosh I remember rubiks cubes. Those are so difficult to calculate. I've only been successful with 2 sides. However I do have the digital one, which is just as challenging... Betez 1,734 March 10, 2013 Author Share March 10, 2013 Major bump. I finally did it. About 10 minutes ago, I solved my first 3x3x3 rubiks cube. I can finally cross that off my bucket list. Solving one is a lot easier than you'd think if you know how. Thank you so much for that link. That guy was so helpful, I never would have solved it without the help of that video. Now to do it again for speed. ~Silver Essence~ 2,625 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 YES! It took a whole week of 4 hours a day to finish that cube! Looking back at it, it wasn't as hard as I remembered, now I can do it in less than 3 days.
Display Name 448 March 10, 2013 Share March 10, 2013 Reminds me of something i did in 6th grade. I asked my friend if i can try it out, he said Sure. I took it out of his hand and accidentally dropped it and shattered the entire thing. To this very day, he still drown's in his sorrows of letting me use it.. DubWolf 17,264 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 I was always only able to get one face of the cube at a time. I've been close to solving it probably - or 2 times, but I screwed it up and went off course. It seems annoying to me that some people find it so easy :okiedokielokie:. SparklingSquirrels 21,345 August 24, 2014 Share August 24, 2014 I know there's a proper way to solve them, but I never bothered learning it.
