What was going through your head while Twilight was transforming?

I guess you could think that some negative thoughts went through my head. CAUTION: These thoughts are not to offend Twilight or any people that liked the season finale.

Well, I knew that Twilight was going to turn into an alicorn, which ruined the surprise, but I was still excited about it for some strange reason. Maybe it was the thought of what might happen in the season to come; this does open many new doors for the show. At the same time, I couldn't help thinking that this might be a build up to the end of the show (this is how the writers of the story made it appear).

I'm not ready to be nostalgic, though, because I've only seen about three minutes of Twilight being an alicorn. There isn't enough evidence for me to predict what might happen in the future so I'm still clinging to hope that this isn't the end of all we know and love. Twilicorn could be both a good and bad thing for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. We just have to be patient and wait for Season 4 to be released in order to find out if we'll enjoy the change or not.

Pretty much sums up my reaction right there. Particularly when I first found out about Alicorn Twilight as I had been away from the pony fandom for a bit and had not seen a few of the recent episodes. I go into DA, and I get spoiled about it before the episode. Now? I HAVE to watch this episode. I'm watching it, trying to know how the hell this happens. And then when she does transform, my brain is kind of grinding its gears really slow, and feeling numb. I have no reaction.

 

At the end of the episode, I'm still pretty much left going: "What in the name of sweet Mars did I just watch?" Everything in the episode happened so fast that I could not process it.

 

Now, I'm pretty neutral and apathetic about it. I don't feel strongly one way or the other. So my opinion hasn't changed much.

Hi! New to the board. Two things struck me. First while she was getting zapped by the elements you see the fear and surprise in her eyes and then she closes them and seems resigned to her fate. I'm just wondering what was she thinking about at that moment. The other thing of course is that her cute mark changed. I read somewhere that it could mean that a new element is coming.

I'll make this as brief as hell, but I didn't know what to think. I sat there, and watched with wide eyes as Twi sprouted wings. Then 5 minutes later she becomes a princess and next thing, she flies off promising things would be alright. Took me a long time to process what had just happened, but this was the end result:

I just looked at it, and was a bit confused about what to think. Took me 2 days of reviewing it of what I personally thing, I cam e to the conclusion that nothing will probably really change except we might see a few more countries in Equestria and a bit more of Cloudsdale seeing as twilight can fly though, I don't think that the majority of Ponyville will change their opinion of her either.

oh and am I the only one who thinks it's funny that twilight's friends think they have toasted twilight, but they don't seem to terribly sad, we just killed twilight! lets go out side and get our stories straight.

Thoughts while watching. "...well when you don't know how to develop a character give them a new class..."

Twilight lost her unique character over the course of season 3 and the finale makes me believe that they did not have a clear idea of haw to develop her as an individual and just made her a mary sue proxy for the viewer instead. I hope that season four starts with everything is falling apart because of her transformation and we see that a person has power because of who they are and what they choose to do rather than their form.

 

I had to listen to a crazy woman who believed that her god would reward righteous women by turning them into men on judgement day because she believed that the male form was well I started to block her out and continue my day. The arguments for Twilicorn sound the same to me.

I helped organise the Season 3 finale as a episode screening meetup for about 20 of my friends. We hried a venue, ordered several hundred dollars of food and it was a significant day out for most people. As one of the host for the event I have to make sure that everypony there could chill out, even if this means putting on a stoic face and hiding my true feelings.

 

What went through my head: WTF! Were the writers on drugs writing this episode? I'm actually embarrassed that I put my friends through this.

 

Afterwards, I didn't say anything and nodded when people said it was a great episode. It's been more than a month since that event and my opinions have not changed.

Even though I was against the transformation in every way, I did actually like the scene. It was really exiting building up to Twilight earning her wings.

One of the worst things about watching the episode was that deep inside I knew I was supposed to feel proud for Twilight for acheiving such a great accomplishment. But I just couldn't. I simply could not bring myself to liking the idea that my favorite character (whom I could easily identify with) was going all Mary Sue and destroying all the best elements of the show (such as how her friends were the real reason for Twilight's power).

Now that she's a pretty perfect pony princess, I can hardly identify with her at all.

I was laughing when she came back to Ponyville. It proves how much of a troll Celestia is. Note how when Twilight left, the others shot the laser things at her and she disappeared. It looked a bit like she exploded. This would make the other ponies believe they had just killed their friend. Note how when Twilight comes back, it is night. This means the rest of the Mane 6 had to go through the whole day believing they killed their friend.
