Hey, Manaphy and everybody else who rallied the troops for Applejack? I voted for Applejack, and I'm gonna need you to return the favor now. I can't believe Luna has a big lead over Fluttershy in the early voting. What is up with that? I am disappoint. And it disturbs me that someone would suggest voting for Luna so that ANOTHER Mane 6 character would have an easier opponent in the next round.

Don't get me wrong, Princess Luna is a nice gal and all that. But what was her biggest accomplishment lately? Saving Scootaloo from her nightmares. Yawn. Fluttershy, on the other hoof, was able touch Discord's heart and thus ended (for the most part) his all-consuming desire to spread havoc across the planet.

 

As most of you are aware, I can't say enough nice things about Fluttershy. "Yes, yes, Wingnut, you're probably the most outspoken Fluttershy supporter in the forum now so we know you're going to sing her praises." Fair enough. What do others have to say? Hopefully Zygen, Soundgarden, and Comrade Dimitri will stop by to lend their support. And maybe this video will persuade you once you see how beautiful Fluttershy truly is.

 

 

That's being superficial you say? Very well. Fluttershy is much more than a pretty face. The series is full of wonderful deeds she deeds she has done for ponies and animals alike. And the coolest thing about Fluttershy is that you don't even have to BE a Fluttershy fan to realize how awesome she is.

 

 

See? Even this PMV editor who otherwise finds Fluttershy to be boring admits that she's an incredible source of courage and inspiration. If she can face...and conquer...her worst fears and adversities, why can't the rest of us do the same? That's why Fluttershy deserves your vote today! 

 

Oh wait, there's another match being voted on right now? My vote goes for Discord. But it doesn't really matter because Fluttershy can easily take him or Scootaloo in the next round!

 

I have now sat through a One Direction song because it was a PMV with Fluttershy in it. Damn, the things that loving a character can make me willing to endure. 

 

Oh, and you're the most outspoken Fluttershy fan? Good to know, buddy. Our favorite pony is back within a handful of votes! Let's find every Fluttershy fan we can, and complete a comeback for the ages! And next time hopefully I'll get a mention when the subject of "outspoken Fluttershy fans" comes up.

Come on Everypony! Vote for Fluttershy! Even if you DON'T like Fluttershy, you should still vote for her because she'll probably be the easier pony to beat in the following rounds. If Luna beats Flutters, she'll win the tournament. Be strategic, vote for Fluttershy!

 

That said, I actually love Fluttershy and I want her to have a chance at winning this tournament because we all know Applejack is dead next round, which I'm okay with because it would be against Twilight, who is awesome. Gather up all of the Fluttershy fans you can. Let's send that Princess to the moon!

Discord vs Scootaloo is a lot closer than I expected, especially considering how popular Discord is. I knew Fluttershy vs Luna would be very close from the start.

Speaking as a bigger Fluttershy fan than Luna, I, once again, hold no loyalty for who I like more. Like I said on the previous page, Fluttershy's my most favorite character, but taste and quality don't mix. Despite her lesser appearances, Luna is the better overall character, so I voted for her.

 

For further explanation why:

1. For a monarch character, she's inherently flawed and is very relatable. She's the alicorn with an edge and a really well-done backstory of anger and corruption to trial and triumph. She still tries to rule without the scorn and is slowly coming through.
2. Her color scheme, especially the one from season two onward, is fantastic. She sticks out because she doesn't have the pastel colors, but it fits her as a royal character tremendously.
3. She's a character shown who is able to redeem herself, but will still try even harder to further prove her worth. In The Crystal Empire, Part I, she told Celestia that she wanted to volunteer, only for Celestia to convince her not to.
4. She's objectively the best written and most complex princess, and I say this as a bigger Celestia fan. When you have great writing for a character, then the audience buys into that character. The pilot led the mystery for Luna, but Luna Eclipsed solidified her into that princess that captivates the brony audience with amazing writing, realistic characterization for Luna, and character development for her to make her actually belong into the rankings of the princesses. She was a big character in the beginning, but Luna Eclipse's greatness made her a better one.

And although it's not a reason:

This is the second tournament where Fluttershy's pulled ahead after being down by some sort of big margin. Good show, Fluttershy fans! You really showed up after that humiliating defeat in Magic Bowl I.

I must be dreaming. Derpy actually lost to Applejack?! This surely can't be real. I thought, from the beginning, we will get absolutely annihilated by the incoming Derpy horde. The most popular background pony who outshined Applejack in her own episode. Lost.

Seriously, though, it was a dream come true. The very thing that I wanted to do as an Applejack fan was for her to outshine her enemy (I call it that, even though others think them friends ) and...that has happened. Oh. My. Gosh.

I said that this match was personal ever since Derpy outshined Applejack in The Last Roundup. It was absolute payback time. And while the battle came WAAAY too close for my liking, a win is a win. I'm darn proud of our accomplishment too, but the road ends here... for the next round... we do battle.... with Twilight......

 

Watch the language, friends, watch the language.  The contest was fierce, and I'm proud to have gone down swinging, especially in such a close contest; but the contest is also now over between those two, and there is no reason that they should be considered enemies beyond direct match ups.  I've pledged the Derp Brigade's support to the Applejack Corps in the contest to overthrow the Sparkle Empire, but that support cannot be guaranteed if ya'll keep rubbing salt in the wound.  Well done on your victory, but now let us be friends, not enemies... otherwise, the Derp Brigade may just have to line up its support behind another, and you know very well that Applejack's gonna need every vote she can get next round.

 

 

Apologies if I'm coming across as a bit melodramatic; been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately, so my head's full of thoughts of political intrigue and backstabbing at the moment.  

 

 

So I say again; let us be friends, not enemies!

We will, we will, rest assured.  As I said before, I probably spent last off season advocating for Applejack more than any other Mane 6 pony since she especially needed a great Season 3.  I love the Mane 6 equally, but also appreciate and recognize the fact that, at least until this season, AJ didn't get quite the type of fan-love she deserves.

OMG, Applejack made it. What a round that was. All her hard work finally paid off, and I'll tell you right now, she's got my vote vs. Twilight. If enough people come out and show their love, she can win that one too. Remember Lyra!

 

Discord is cool but even my least favorite CMC ranks a bit higher than him...and Woona is nice and all but Fluttershy has a more interesting character to me, so I have to go with her on this one.

I have to put my vote down for Fluttershy. I'm not really that impressed with Luna to be honest.

As for Scootaloo vs Discord... I'm going with Scootaloo. Discord just doesn't appeal to me I'm afraid. 

 

Discord getting knocked out of the tourny by Scootaloo, now wouldn't that be something.

I don’t care for One Direction either.  But thanks to this PMV, What Makes You Beautiful is now the only One Direction song I like.   And it’s always good to see another Fluttershy supporter step up to the plate.  We may just prevail over Luna's legion after all. 

 

EDIT: Here's one more reason Fluttershy should be voted to the next round.

 

 

Go ahead and try making a Bohemian Rhapsody PMV with your beloved princess of the night. There's hardly enough suitable Luna footage to fill out 5:49 of music. But there are plenty of fitting Fluttershy clips.

I think the fact that both of the characters that I voted for are currently losing and I don't really care, because they're all amazing, really says a lot about the strength of this division. May the best ponies/draconequus win . Dashie'll take em down eventually anyway
