Following the Voice Actors?

I searched for a topic like this and finding nothing I'll create one, but my luck has been horrible. Here goes!

 

So I've become really impressed, intrigued, with the voice actors. Beyond being talented they seem to be really sweet and clearly enjoy the bronies. So far I've watched as many voice actor panels or other interviews as possible including stuff Ashleigh Ball has done for Hey Ocean. I also follow Meghan McCarthy, Andrea Libman, and Tara Strong on Twitter. Meghan doesn't Tweet a lot but her pony avatar is adorable and when she does Tweet she says just enough to make you wonder. Andrea also posts sparingly but she is so adorable! She has this tendency to play nervously with her hair during a panel/interview and she honestly has so many Fluttershy-like characteristics. Tara, oh Tara, the Queen of the Bronies is fun, but crazy! But she is the T to the wi light ain't no other pony trolling it down like her she's Twilightlicious after all. I've looked at a few of the other VA's Twitter feeds but so far only follow those three. I'd love to meet them at a Con but that's unlikely. I also have to say the three girls, CMC, are fun to listen to on panels and bring a way different prospective being kids. twilightlicious

 

So I guess my question is how much do you follow the voice actors? Twitter, Facebook, YouTube videos, Conventions? Or are you more interested in just the shows and maybe the fandom.

I currently follow Tara Strong (who doesn't anyway ), Andrea Libman and Michelle Creber. Your observations about their tweeting habits are pretty much spot on. Andrea tends to post sparingly while Tara likes posting links to pictures of her many cartoon personalities, along with witty captions. Michelle on the other hand, posts irregularly, but when she does, the amount of tweets literally floods my twitter feed. 

 

The only other MLP-related people I follow are (like you), Meghan McCarthy, Amy Keating Rogers and Daniel Ingram. I find it useful to monitor their tweets and retweets because they tend to drop hints to upcoming releases every now and then

I don't have a facebook or twitter account ( not really a fan of either to be honest ) but I do have the twitter page of Tara strong, Andrea libman, Michelle creeber, Nicole oliver and Tabitha st germain saved under a folder. I also went mad trying to find interviews for each of them so yea, I keep up with them quite a bit.

Michelle is an interesting one and seems to be the most active CMC. Her parents are very nice to take her so many places. You're right about Meghan dropping hints. She said this recently "@MMeghanMcCarthy: Winter is coming… But summer is gonna be pretty amazing too." Meaningful? Who knows.

I don't follow them on Twitter or Facebook (but then again, I don't do twitter, period) but I do look out for convention footage or interviews with them on youtube.  I love it when Everfree Radio sits down with them for an hour or so.

 

The reason for this, I think, is that I've always liked hearing about the creative process.  I'm a big fan of behind the scenes features or commentaries on DVDs and so forth, so I think that a lot of the stories that they give in interviews and at con panels about what goes on during the recording session and what the creative process is like are really interesting.  I love hearing about how it's recorded, or how they came up with certain acting choices, what the audition process was like, how they interpret their characters, etc.  It doesn't even have to do directly with the making of the show per se; I love it even if it's just about the day to day atmosphere of the recording studio (like Tabitha St. Germain bringing in cookies every day.  Yum!  ).

I follow the  Mane 6 & CMC (Except Clarie who voiced Sweetie Belle ) actors on Twitter as well.

(Tara, Andrea, Tabitha, Ashleigh, Cathy, Michelle, Maddy)

Plus the show staff (Meghan,Daniel,Steffan, Amy,Lauren)

They're a nice bunch plus saw the MLP Panels at various conventions thanks to YouTube & its fun to watch.

Canterlot Gardens was hilarious since Tara cosplayed Twilight Andrew Francis (Shining Armor) said it best: TWILEY!!!

Plus followed the singers of the show too like Kazumi Evans (Rarity)  Shannon Chan Kent (Pinike Pie) Britt McKillip (Who voiced And sings as Princess Cadence)

I have watched a lot of panels about them and I love them !

 

I followed there face books but I don't currently have twitter at the moment!

 

Reddit normally quickly posts anything that is said, especially if it is important some of what Tara writes is so funny and I love Andreas posts, shes exactly how i imagine Fluttershy

You never know what you're going to get from Tara, but she does mention them from time to time. Andrea doesn't as much but she was posting recently about being at a pony con and she seems to visit a lot of them which is cool. She just acts, to me, so much like Fluttershy. She's demure looking and somewhat quiet at the panels. Meghan is very cryptic so far. That's all I follow.
