mega thread Unpopular Music Related Opinions

Show No Mercy or Hell Awaits > Any Metallica or Megadeth album. Eeyup, I said it.

Any Sepultura album > Any other Thrash album

No it is just really good music, that's all. I don't worship them or anything for that matter. I just believe that the deepest music comes out of the Progressive genre. I like other Progressive bands as well. Next would be Alternative.

I wasn't really being serious when I said that but meh.

Here's some unpopular opinions from me:

Even though I'm not a fan of Thrash, it's not over rated because it was one of the sub-genres that helped people notice the Extreme genres.

And since I said that I might as well leave my opinion on the big four Thrash bands:

Metallica: I was never able to get into their music, I don't know why, but I'm just not a fan of any of their songs.

Megadeth: They're alright, they have some decent moments that I don't mind

Slayer: The band that I can withstand the most out of the Big Four

Anthrax: I haven't tried them out yet, and I don't plan on it

Daft Punk's Random Access Memories will end up on the top of many lists for best album of 2013. It probably will top my list, even after any other albums released this year.

I know, I just felt like going in depth just for shits and giggles. Okay lets see another opinion......

Kid A is not the best Radiohead album, still pretty good, but Okay Computer is better. Not  a clue if this is unpopular.

Usually when people pick a favorite Radiohed album it's either Kid A or OK Computer, so yeah that's popular. And speaking of Radiohead, Amnesiac is one of the most under rated albums of all time, it gets so unnoticed but it had some of my favorite Radiohead songs on it.

I wouldn't say ANY Sepultura album because Max Cavalera left after Roots and then the band was never the same. Maybe you should rephrase it to any Max Cavalera era Sepultura album.

I'll have to check out Amnesiac now.  Hope it's good, what am I kidding, it's Radiohead so it probably is good. Don't really have any other opinions right now.

BEATS BY DR. DRE ARE AWFUL.

There, I said it.

Any type of weeb music sucks.

Tyler, The Creator is shit by himself but is good when he's with other people, and while is productions are usually unique, I can't enjoy them due to how muddy and awkward they all sound.

Also Knife Party's newest EP was totally not worth the wait and was a huge let down but I'll still listen to it even if it's like a 6.5/10

Well, time for another unpopular opinion. I think The Money Store by Death Grips is one of the best albums of 2012 and Death Grips is one the best bands of today. If you don't know who Death Grips is, check out these songs:

I didn't really know that at all, so yeah I wouldn't think that the band would be good him, since Max's vocals were one of the reasons why I preferred Sepultura over any other Thrash band in existent.

Even though I really respect Dr. Dre, I got to admit his headphones aren't the best. My Soul Republic headphones have more bass but I only use my Dr. Dre Beats if I am going out somewhere. (I am not a swagfag)

Amnesiac is kind of similar to Kid A a little bit, but it is a bit of a toughie to listen to for some people. Amnesiac is my second favorite album by them, right next to Kid A.

It's Knife Party, why would you even expect it to be good in the first place.

This isn't unpopular, they're one of the most trash talked products on the market.

The song "Radioactive" sounds like a Coldplay ripoff with frickin' dubstep or some shit.

I don't get what is so great about that song.

Electro would be more reasonable than Dubstep, though yeah that song is horrible.

Yea, I too prefer his voice over other thrash vocalists. He's also a great guitarist too, and his brother Igor (who too left Sepultura) is an underrated drummer.

I prefer Sodom's debut Obsessed by Cruelty over Agent Orange and Persecution Mania. It just has this raw black metal edge to it that I really like.

I love to listen to old songs from like the 40-50s! Everyone at my age seems to hate music older than those from the 80's for some weird reason..

I have a deep despise for Knife Party, their music is bland, unoriginal, and uninteresting. Yeah, it would be nice if Rob Swire would go back with Pendulum, though I'm not a huge Pendulum fan in the first place. I guess I can't take them seriously because I've got a special place in my heart for The Prodigy.

Oh, not another one one of these "I have a weird taste in music compared to everyone else my age".

Moving along now, CDs are better than MP3s

Pirating music encouraged me to buy CDs, yes I'm serious. And you though piracy was "killing" music.

True but they are still very unknown to a lot of people. How many people do you honestly think have heard of them? I would think not many.

What? I don't see what your reply has to do with my post.

And why would a CD be better than an MP3 file on your computer? ...If that's what you mean.. Explain yourself, you're confusing me :P

To the masses, not many heard of them, to anyone who actually is into music passionately, they've probably listened to them multiple times. They're experimental and that means they aren't accessible to mainstream media, due to it being a different nature than the pop-hop scene all the kiddies are into now. Feel me?

Yeah sad isn't it. Most Basically all listen to only really new stuff it seems, and not even good new stuff. I don't dig the 40's and 50's myself, but I'm really big on the 60's and 70's.

Oh ffs, I quoted you, then I replied to the OT. As for the CD thing, CDs are fun to collect and you can rip CDs into your computer. You get your money's worth out of it.

I completely understand. I've been obssessed with this band for a while now, so I just felt like I had to say something about them.

Anyways, White Light/White Heat by The Velvet Underground is my favorite proto-punk album. Who else in their right mind would be writing so explicitly about drugs, transexuals, BDSM, and orgies at that time?

Surely you must realize, the only people that actually like the Beatles are dads, and kids who think "I was born in the wrong generation. I listen to Zepplin, classic rock, the list could go on really..."

Eh? Nandatte?
