Oh boy, I love Spongebob. I mean you guys don't know what I mean by love when I say I love Spongebob. The First 3 seasons and the Movie finale were spectacular and some of the best western writing of all time.

 

While I can't pinpoint a favorite, and most of the really notable ones have been mentioned, I am deeply shocked not a single soul has mentioned Pizza Delivary yet. Many ragard that as the best episode of all time. Why? Well the writing is sharp, jokes are quick and funny, the concept is simple yet very well executed, and a very wonderful conclusion really ties it up and shows just how well Spongebob and Squidward's dynamic can work on screen. I'll try to limit spoilers in it, if you haven't seen Pizza Delivery yet, go see it now. Very good episode, easily in my top 10.

My favorite episode is definetly Idiot Box.  The look on Squidward's face when he kicks the box and hears an avalanche is just priceless.

Me for the win: Band Geeks. That episode had it all. Loved the song at the end. Man why does the new Spongebob episodes have to suck. It was that damn movies fault.

I think my favorite episode will always be Prehibernation Week. Yes, it's exactly why you think - because it features friggin' PANTERA.

 

Also, the fly fishing joke followed up by the live-action drummer going ba-dum-TSS always makes me laugh out loud.

As for my favourite episode, I think that title would belong to Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. The whole episode was hilarious, but this one particular scene has always put a silly grin on my face.

Dang that episode is that old? Really, then I guess I feel old then. Yeah it was funny how Squidward keep wanting the pizza and Spongebob kept not wanting to give it to him, because it was for the customer. Also,

 

Spongebob: It is not just a boulder, its a rock! A big beautiful...

I mentioned it, bro!

 

The best thing about the episode was the interaction between Spongebob and Squidward. I love the way the writers would sneak in little moments that show that Squidward likes Spongebob more than he let's on, while Spongebob is made the right balance of annoying and lovable.

Chocolate with Nuts, Krab Borg, The Krusty Krab Training Video, and The Camping Episode are all fantastic but here are some others that haven't been mentioned yet:

 

Shanghaied - Probably my favorite episode ever.  I don't even know where to start... this episode is pretty much just a constant barrage of jokes that are funny even to adults, interspersed with off-the-wall moments like the perfume department and small touches like the "I had four biscuits" kid.

 

Idiot Box - Honestly, this one isn't the funniest, but is incredibly creative.  You'll never find an episode of any other show that's entirely about a cardboard box.

 

Roller Cowards - The last great episode, in my opinion.  Countless great comedic moments, including the list of side-effects, Glovey Glove, Patrick arguing with his reflection, and even out-of-nowhere black humor where someone dramatically loses their husband in an otherwise cheesy and lighthearted scene.

The Krusty Krab Training Video is my favourite Spongebob episode. It's great parody, it's nice to see the story told in a different format and I love how it leans on the fourth wall. And this is coming from somebody who usually hates fourth wall jokes!

While I can appreciate some of the newer episodes, the older ones, in my opinion, are the best!

•The episode where Plankton builds a robot replica of Mr. Krabs.

•The episode where Spongebob must work for Plankton because of a gambling bet Mr. Krabs made.

Ooooh there's also this episode where Squidward gets a neighbor that plays the bassoon. I don't remember anything particularly incredible about the episode aside from that... But, dude, the bassoon. That's my instrument! Therefore episode is awesome!
