Embarrassing Brony Moments

I've got two.

 

So I was watching an episode when my father sneaked up on me. He asked what I was watching. I showed him. He stared at it for a few seconds and walked away without saying a word... He has never said anything about that again..

 

And this other time my sister suddenly said: "Why does my little pony pop up when I type a M in the browser?" I was like mumblemumbleIWatchThatStuffmumblemumble. She then told me to get a live and stop being a loser. (She says that everyday whatever I do )

I go to my best friend's relative's pool every summer. Her little sister was telling me about how they get a sunscreen bottle every year with different characters on them (last year it was a smurf). I asked her what character it was this year..

She responds "Princess Pinkie Pie!".

No, it couldn't be..

"Princess Pinkie Pie? Who's that?" I reply.

"She's a pony." she replies.

AT THIS POINT I'M MENTALLY FACEPALMING

I think I winced in front of her. She asked me what was wrong, and I said it was nothing. But, really? PRINCESS PINKIE PIE?

Just no.

Why did I over exaggerate in this post?

I told one guy in my science class that Im a brony. Then he started to say,

 

"EVERYONE HES A BRONY."

 

everyone stared at me and one guy is keep on searching up pony pictures, showing it to me, and laughing.

So my friend introduced me to her friend, and we kinda became friends. She's in my language arts class, so we teamed up for a project where we had to define and draw a word. Our word was "trace", so we had to draw someone drawing an object on a paper. I let her use my phone to look up pictures to draw, and she saw the page I was currently on (which was a picture of Pinkie Pie). I saw her looking at it and I thought to myself that I was screwed, but instead she said "My Little Pony? I love that show!". I was so relieved and happy that she was a pegasister. She's actually really open about it. There was even a girl staring at us while we were talking about the show, but who cares.

 

We ended up drawing a pony on our paper. We did get some strange looks though

When I was starting secondary school there was a story going around that there was a rap battle and one of the rappers said something about mlp and the opponent dissed him and said something nasty about mlp and bronies. The guy who said about mlp was very embarrassed.

well.. I was in my computing class and my teacher wants me to look something up on Google chrome. and, of course my school and home computers are synced up.

so anyway i open Google chrome and Bam! my 4 homepages pop up

i quickly close it and open internet explorer instead but i was too slow

and he said and i quote "sorry, im too distracted to help i was looking in horror at your tabs."

One moment I've had, is when my class was making slideshow films, and my friend had to take pictures of my phone clock So when our class watched the finished products, this came up:

 

 

Everybody saw that it was my phone, and people understood that I liked My Little Pony...

They've never hated on me or made fun of me for it though, which is nice

Happened to me just today, while sitting with my partner at Starbucks Coffee, I was telling her about Big Macintosh and Applejack and thier cute country accent, then they started making a Frappacino for someone and I began to speak loudly to be heard over the machine, just as the noise stopped... Yeah, discussing MLP so the whole coffee shop could hear...

So I'm filling out the Chapman University application on the common app with my college counselor at Starbucks. We were going over some of the fun little questions the university puts out to get to know applicants. Then we come across this question: "What is your guilty pleasure?"

So my counselor asks me, "Well, do you have a guilty pleasure you could put on the application?" And of course, I immediately think of ponies, since I am almost always thinking of ponies now-a-days, but she doesn't know I'm a Brony, or what a brony is.

I say, "Ehhhhhh, welllllll, I'm not too sure..."

"Oh, well thats fine," she says, "We can just work on that one later."

A week passes, and we meet again, having answered all of the other questions but that one.

My counselor says, "Ok, well we can't move on until this question is answered. You must have something you can put down here."

I ponder this for a second, and then hang my head in defeat, as I put down that I love MLP and am a brony. My counselor just stares at it for a while, while I turn completely red, and Starbucks starts to feel like the inside of a volcano.   And then after a pause, she finally mutters, "My little pony... huh..."  And that was it...

This happened a few weeks ago, so in my class we had a Secret Santa game, so I went into a store to buy the present, and I walked down the toy aisle and see the Rainbow Shimmer princess Luna, and the Chinese New Year Pinkie I´ve been wanting to get since forever, so I just grab them and as I was heading to the cashier, BOOM a girl from school enters the shop, to find a gift aswell. She said "Hello" and I said "Hello" back, then she asks me about the ponies, and I was so nervous that I told her there were for my little sister, and she looks at me confused and says "But, you dont have a sister, do you? Well, I was sweating a little bit by that time, and it took me some time to respond so I finally told her, that it was the christmas gift for my little cousin, but we are so close, I like to call her "Sister" She said ok, went to pick up the gift, and when I was exiting the store, she told me if I wanted to get some ice cream in the shop down the street, I said yes, I thought she was going to bring up the My Little Pony incident, but fortunately not, and we had a pleasant talk. Phew...

I got a new one from Christmas.

 

I was at my grandparents' place and unwrapping presents with a decent amount of other people (at least 10), and as it turns out my grandmother accidentally got me two Raritys (I wasn't complaining, best pony is best pony) and so my mom held it up and laughed a bit which got everyone's attention, including my brother's kids who watch the show. And all I heard was "Oh my god, you got Rarity!!" from a fairly excited girl and then she said "me and my sister collect ponies all of the time!".

 

I mean it was kinda awesome but kinda embarrassing since everyone was focused on me. :s

Yea i wore a pony shirt to school once, and someone was making fun of my, calling me gay, etc. and i ignored it. believe it or not he followed me to high school the next year and tried it again. mind you even as he was walking up my friend had already ditched me (the bully was fairly notorious) and they guy started making fun of me again, and trying to take my food, so i told him if he wanted to get food then he should dig some out of the trash like his kind was meant too xD he was SOOOO pissed and walked off lol *deal with it glasses fly from outer space and land perfectly on my head*

 

i wonder if anyone has had the awkward moment when someone finds your clop stash? xD theyres i mean. i dont have one. no seriously i dont. STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT *cries*

Mine is being at work, ok I install tile, tile floor,wall tile you name It.Well I work with you guys that would'nt be caught dead watching mlp, so some of my co-workers saw posts I made on FB and asked.  Well I told them, and I get ragged everyday, but I care not what others think about me.

Just had one today.

In pe sat next to one of my friends we had to send in lesson plans to the teacher by email and I had to screenshot mine to send it as a picture (forgetting my most recent mlp pictures that were on my Ipad).

So I went onto the school email and loaded up a new message etc. then when I went to attach the picture I noticed that next to the picture I needed was my mlp pictures. My friend noticed them and asked why I had mlp pictures on my ipad and I told him (to get out of how awkward it was) that they were just random and that I didn't know how they got there.

I think he bought it but after school I told him about me being a brony and all that and he took it pretty well (better than I expected).

I can't remember if I blushed at all when it happened but I probably did.

 

Anyway that's my embarrassing moment. Not as awesome as some I've seen on here but it was still embarrassing as hell

About 2 years as a brony and my parents still don't know (I think). my brother and sister know, they barely bring it up, all of my friends know, most of them are bronies now that I have shown them the show about a month after I became a brony. I am paranoid as hell when watching mlp,  I always turn around at the slightest of noises, I've had some pretty close calls but nothing too serious. I have a pretty good brony life.  :comeatus:

Just remembered this one today:

 

Okay so I'm not a closet brony but I'd like to keep it away from my parents for as long as I can.

I was in school and for my maths class we were required to make revision pages with notes, pictures and colour. (This was 2 years ago)

Then last year my mom was going through all of my school books hoping to throw some out to make room and she stumbles upon my maths revision book. The pictures of the book were descent enough, Simpsons, Family Guy, Anime and then....... Rainbow Dash and Vinyl Scratch. My mom asked me "um, why do you have My Little Pony drawings in your maths book?" And I had no immediate response, I then made up an excuse and said that a friend suggested I'd draw it to help me gain better skills with getting animal anatomy correct.

 

(I still think I nailed that with a pretty good save).

 

Now that she's seen the book the only thing left for her to find is the Rainbow Dash brushable fiqure I keep hidden in my closet, hopefully not for a few years.

I am exactly the same way. I always watch MLP on Dailymotion, and whenever so much as a cricket is heard, I either tab away or slam my computer closed and whirl around. Real smooth...

I also do that. Sometimes even if I know I will be home alone all day.

 

But what can you do when PARENTS DON'T KNOW ON THE DOOR EVEN IF YOU ASK THEM A MILLION TIMES TO DO SO? :/
