Embarrassing Brony Moments

mine happened at work. i work in a bakery and this lady came up and wanted to order a MLP cake for her daughter. NO ONE in the entire bakery knew what she was talking about when she said rainbow dash. at first i thought they were kidding but when they started looking up pictures i just walked over and started taking the order. it was hilarious but at the same time a forever alone moment haha

Just had me one of these today. First off... I'm not as open to all of this like most of you... its on a need to know bases and most people don't need to know...

I happened to be sitting at a diner this morning, waiting on my stuff when I decided to check the forums. And it popped up a big ole dancing Pinky Pie on my screen..... just as the waitress came along and snuck up behind me *damn ninja waitresses *... I jumped a mile... but on the plus, at least it wasn't R34

Alright here is my embarrassing moment.

 

I have an Apple TV and use mostly for streaming my Itunes library through my sound system. You can set pictures on your PC for a photo slide/Screen saver that will also come up when listening to music. I have it setup to stream my MLP fan art folder on screen. I had some tunes playing with the screen saver going and had to step away (This is all located in my game room and it has a door on it) and I left my music playing and closed the door.

 

I came back to see my door open and could hear my Dad in there talking to my cousins husband, no one knows I am a brony, and he was showing him my system. I was frozen in my tracks, how should I handle the question "Whats that you got on the TV there?", at least that's what I was thinking in my head. I turned around and went back up stairs and started doing some other stuff. After 10 minutes i went back down to see they had left the room but the door was still open. 

 

I never brought it up and neither of them mentioned it, so yeah, kind of awkward.

one day,at school,i was browsing the forum to post a few posts,until a friend came to me,and said "ponies?",quikly i changed to another screen(he knows already that i'm a brony,but he will joke about it,but in the good way )and he said"oh,nothing",and then i giggled and changed again to the forum

Okay, last semester, I had one of the worst and most embarrassing brony moments ever.

 

So I was in piano lessons and my teacher and I were going over what I had to do. When she finished, she said those same dreaded seven words Celestia said to Twilight in A Canterlot Wedding: "You have a lot to think about." Immidiately, after she said that. I heard Celestia saying those seven words, and they just rang in my mind. I had a major reaction. I was like "Oh God! Please don't say that!" I was like perhaps a drama king. I just hope my piano teacher doesn't do it again this semester...

My most embarising moment was back when i was a closet brony so im sitting in class we just started an assingment and i shift in my seet and bang my everfree radio app opens and plays full volume on "the mlp main theme rock cover" clse second im on my phone reading clopfic in class ( i was done and techer no care about cell phones) when my "frend" was standing over my sholder reading along by the time i was finished reading ther wer 5-6 pepol i knew crowding behind me. Reading a very stemy twidash clop

A few days ago I was drawing some Ponies at school for practice, most of my friends already know I watch the show but the guys sitting right in front of me didn't know...

Well long story short they caught me drawing but then they actually took it better than I expected even tough I still felt embarressed

One day i was at school in English and i had a really mean teacher for english and i was writing on some paper "I'm a brony" and i was going to give it to my friend. Instead the teacher got it before i gave it away and he knew what a brony was but he made me stand up in front of the whole class and tell them what a brony is... I did and no one cared but i was very embarrassed

Yeah, I'm back!

 

Just got re-stationed to Ft Wainwright, Alaska and within a few weeks I was already posted on a 24 hour desk duty.

 

That night, I was sitting at desk waiting for the NCO to come back from dinner and he came back with his laptop and an external hard drive full of movies. As he watches a few on his desk, I went over to join him. Then he pulled up his tv shows, and we watched MLP until it was time to be relieved! /]

This was a few months after I had declared myself a brony. I was at a comic book store with my dad, because it was free comic book day. This comic wasn't even MLP, but he showed it to me and announced it right in front of another father. The other father didn't know I was one, but he said he did the same thing with his son.

I'm sure that people will be nosy and see what I'm doing on my iPad at school then they see mlp forums and laugh......... Screw it I don't care.

Wow, whatta dick! How did he know you weren't getting it for a sister or niece? Not that you were, of course, and not that you should feel the need to resort to such a pretense, but...man, it sure is nice when people assume the worst of others, innit?

 

Anyway, had yet another moment with my family the other day. Mom came into my room for some reason or another, and saw the ponies on my TV. Conversation went a little like this:

 

 

Mom: ...Dude, what's your fascination with these ponies?

 

Me: [poker face] What, don't you remember that article about bronies you told me about that one time? I'm one of those, you know.

 

Mom: Are you serious?

 

Me: Eeyup.

 

Pops: [walks into my room, sees them, and smiles in amusement] ...That's hardcore. [walks out]

 

Mom: Where'd you find them, anyway?

 

Me: Target. Just saw them when we were looking at bikes for Joshie, and I bought 'em on impulse.

 

Mom: ...You are so totally my son. [pets my cat] Your big brother is weird, isn't he? Yes he is! [walks out]

 

So, yeah. Any and all doubts that my parents may have had about my bronyhood were swept clean away that day.

 

Also, I was wearing my new Pinkie Pie shirt that day, just to compound the situation with MOAR PONEE.

This isn't really embarrassing, but I did get laughed at, sort of.  Hey, it's alright; it was kind of funny.

 

I've been regularly visiting the local taxidermist and learning taxidermy from him.  The other day, while he was showing me how to properly clean a raccoon skin, I had my iPod on shuffle (playing through the loud speakers), and the "Pinkie Pie" theme from Fighting is Magic came on.  I really like that song, but at the moment, I was in the mood for something more mellow, so I skipped it after about 30 seconds.  The taxidermist (an elderly "redneck" man) said "That's fine; you don't have to skip it.  I mean... I don't know what kind of music that was, but it was a'ight."

I explained "it's theme music from a My Little Pony game," and he and the other guy in the shop both started laughing.

"I guess that's why I've never heard of it," he said.  I just shrugged and walked to the kitchen to was the raccoon off of my hands.

I would say mine came when my sister *while innocently using my computer* found my Luna pictures. Not much was said other then "OMG. get a life"

At least it wasn't the stuff I have on my computer...

I deleted most of my.... Um..... "suggestive" images when I stopped clopping......... Ok I admit I still do it sometimes but on rare occasions though........................ It's more the anthro stuff rather than actual ponies.

 

But I have a fur and scale fetish so...

Oh! About a minute ago when I posted that ^

Once at a boy scout outing we were hainging out playing cards and we ended up going through all the ways you could say bro (broseph, brodude, brony) and then when we hear brony, complete silence, then a few seconds later, most of us start shouting out who is best pony (of course everyone says something different). That was probably the most awkward silence ever.

Once, when I was about 17, I caught my dad watching My Little Pony with me.

 

My little sister had gotten a DVD of season 1 from the library, and I was watching it with her.  I looked over to see my dad standing on the other side of the couch staring at the TV.  (Of course, my dad has this really bad habit of becoming sucked in whenever he looks at the TV and doesn't even notice it, so chances are, he was probably just on his way from the kitchen to his room when he was ensnared by it.)  So I said, "Daddy, are you watching My Little Pony with us?" and it was like he snapped out of a trance with a shake of his head.  He quickly said "No, I was just going in here to get something" and walked away.

 

A few minutes later, he was back in the room and we were right at the beginning of "The Last Roundup."  When Applejack said she was going to bring home a bunch of blue ribbons, my dad said "I hope she loses every event!" and walked out of the room again.
