My parents know I'm a brony, and they are saying that when we go to the beach In just about a week, they want to get me MLP band-aids. XD

(I had an appendectomy and have to wear band-aids over my scars when my torso is exposed to the sun for a year.)

Yeah you should tell them soon. I don't see why they would care it's a good show with very good morals on so on. I was nervous at first but than I told my dad and his girl friend that I liked it and they still accept me.

Awesome my mom is the same way she doesn't mind if I like the show. She actually loved my Rainbow Dash Hat that I have. And she didn't care if I had pony items as well.

my parents know and my dad is all for it, its not awkward telling them either, in the words of my father "i think you think this is a bigger deal than it really is"

Ah yeah it's best not to tell her what is really is just yet. I don't even tell my dad about the porn images that is involved with the famdom. He thinks all bronies are pedophiles anyhow so if I told him about the porn images he wouldn't be to pleased.

Heck yeah, it's reached a point that the family to-do list for paydays has "get Chris's pony stuff" written on it, and my Mom pony stuff out to me in the store XD

My parents have no idea wtf is brony. So in this case, nope.

But they know I like all kinds of crazy shit and MLP would be just one of them so I think they wouldn't give a damn about it, because after all, why should they? It's clearly my business what I enjoy.

I had an appendectomy

You sure enjoy bringing it up, don't you? ;D

Yep. More-or-less, they're indifferent. Dad specifically, but I get the feeling that Mom is actually supportive of it. My Mom raised me to be more open-hearted and loving than most other men. In some ways, I guess the fact that I like MLP give her some security that she did her job right. In fact, she saw my Twilight Sparkle laptop wallpaper earlier today. I'm pretty sure I saw her smile a bit.

This is the first time I've brought it up in several weeks, my deer. ;D

I only bring it up when necessary, and it was necessary to bring it up here. ;D

Yes, but I imagine it'd be more casual for my parents to take in considering I'm a girl.

My mom did think it was kind of weird at first though? She didn't quite know what all the fuss over My Little Pony was again until I pointed them out to her at the store. Now it's kind of a regular thing that we stop and look at stuff or she'll pick up a MLP shirt at Hot Topic for me every so often.

Yeah my family has asked me what I liked about the show and why I watched it. I told them that it has a very good message to each episode and it helped a lot of people out and the show has helped me out a lot.

My dad knows that I watch the show, he's walked into my room while I was watching it. He just looked at it and chuckled. He really doesn't care what I do. The only thing he cares about are 'As' in college and me getting out of his house as soon as possible (jokes on him though I plan on staying as long as possible. Haha).

my mom knows and doesn't really even think it's weird. and my dad knows my little brother is, but i don't think he knows i am, he probably would think it's weird. all my (few) friends know i am too, but they thought me to be weird before they knew, so it doesn't particularly make a difference.

My parents don't know, but I think my bro does cause he caught me watching an episode once. Also there was ths time where I was watching an MLP episode and he heard Pinkie Pie's voice and he said are you Watching Fred? I'm like noooooooooooo..

Then he asked "What are you watching" and I said "NEVER, you won't know!" and he said "I bet it's My little pony" and I'm like shoot! and I said no then I ran away closing all my MLP tabs and then he didn't say anything the day after lol. I need to be more cautious!

MLP FOREVER!!!

Best pony is obviously Pinkie Pie followed by Fluttershy.

BTW ponies rock and so does the series.

you stop being like that and who cares what your family thinks of you if you watch this show. My dad knows that I look at the stuff and I post on forums and so on. I don't care what my family thinks and you shouldn't either.

Yep they know and have no problem with it. I even have my Rainbow Dash vinyl as the centerpiece of my dining room table. All they do is tease me a bit here and there, but its in good fun :)

Yes. My mom understands the fandom very well and knew I was into it since the beginning. My dad still isn't too familiar with the whole concept.

Nah, it isn't exactly something they need to know. I do nothing to hide it, but they simply don't ask. They did ask about my screensaver of Derpy watching a lavalamp and I explained the character to them. They would be completely accepting anyway, it's a TV show, my parents are awesome people and they know I can be a bit... well, "out there" at times.

My parents do know. Though my dad probably isn't as fully aware of the extent, but mostly because he's not too familiar with the whole brony thing. He sometimes frowns slightly on my liking anything perceived as "girly" (more so in the past than nowadays) but he usually gets over it quickly and pretty much gives me free rein to like what I want.

My mom knows it fully. I often joke around with her about it. She was a bit iffy on the idea of bronies in general, but mostly out of confusion over what the big deal was about MLP. Once she saw what a positive impact ponies had on my life, she's been largely very supportive.

My parents usually tend to be pretty lax on my hobbies as a whole. They compare what many other young men my age could be into (drugs, alcohol, crime, etc) and figure that technicolour ponies really aren't the worst thing I could be doing.
