favorite video game score

Mine would either have to be Zelda or the Final Fantasy tactics Playstation music.  A lot of people always criticize me for that choice, but hey, somebody has to like it.

Journey (the PS3 game). It's got quite a nice soundtrack. I also like Gravity Rush's score as well. Reminds me of Disney for some reason. And although this isn't a video game, I really like the music that is in the 'Life with Playstation' globe thing.

The Legend of Zelda

So many songs in the score for Zelda that I love to bits.

Professor Layton

I love the feel for the score of Professor Layton. Some songs are epic, some filled to the brim with emotions, and some just nice and relaxing. All of them good.

Journey

Very very beautiful score for a beautifully unique game. Just listen to it and you'll understand.

From what I've seen; a lot of people didn't enjoy the game in the slightest; since it went away from the Star Fox universe. I loved it and its score. Both seem severely underrated to me as well. I tried to get my friend into the game but she refuses to play it, for some reason. .-.

Personally I think it's incredibly unfair to hate a game just because it plays differently from it's predecessors. Then again, I tend to be the kind of person who enjoys the blacksheep of franchises(except for X7, F*** that game)

I'm usually a lot nicer to games people seem to hate. Half of the time, I actually like the games. I never understood why people seem to hate a game in a franchise for simply being different than its predecessors. After all, the same game over and over would get rather dull.

Agreed. It grates me when people complain about how games will get stale for being the same, and then when they change it up, they get upset and complain. Gamers can be the whiniest people on the Earth

My favorite score would have to be the menu from Halo 2 that choir and orchestra are just super nostalgic. It give me chills whenever I hear it and I think it's iconic for the whole series to a lot of people.

Sig made by me. Surprisingly it came out somewhat decent.

Silent Hill 2.  Such depressing and beautiful music, as well as creppy stuff.  Theme of Luara might be my favorite piece of game music.

A lot of Final Fantasy music is good too.

I love you.

Just about anything composed by Martin O'Donnell, hands down. The man is a god of music, alongside Hans Zimmer.

Also, the Half Life 2 OST. Three words.

Winston's been hit.

My favorite is Dead Space, it's one of my favorite games, one that I've played through many times in no small part due to the amazing soundtrack.

It really made the game.

My personal favorite would be the Halo 3 soundtrack, one of the reasons why I think it is the best FPS ever made.

I also liked the Homefront soundtrack (that game sucked, but it's soundtrack was beast)

I also kind've liked the Star Fox 64 soundtrack (It's stuck in my freaking head)

I suppose my favourite score from a video game would have to be the music from Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. Some of the pieces are pretty atmospheric and I really love the battling music. I mean, just give this a listen! Imagine battling your friends with this song playing in the background.

The portal series has been known for a great score in terms of memorable soundtracks.

The legend of Zelda has also been known for the most amazing and awe inspiring soundtracks.

And the god of war series for it's darkly and epic orchestrated music arrangements that show what the game is made of...

Ooh, I just remembered Shadow of the Colossus, epic, epic soundtrack for a really amazing game. It really doesn't get much better.

And Dark Souls too.
