Your Favorite Canterlot/Important Pony?

I searched around, and couldn't find anything soooo.... sorry if there's already a topic for this.

 

 

About a week ago, I was rewatching Sweet and Elite, and I realized something. I freaking love Fancy Pants. He broke the stereotype that every Canterlot pony is self-centered and find themselves better than other ponies, especially ones from outside Canterlot. I love it when something like that happens. The first time I watched the episode, the second he said the line, "I for one find them charmingly rustic." made him automatically my absolute favorite Canterlot/important pony. 

 

After watching the episode a few times, I started paying attention to his facial expressions. Some of the funniest things were his small looks of derision at the idiocy of the ponies around him, and his expression when Rarity countered him in saying Fleetfoot would win the race. He looked surprised then looked pleased, then immediately went back to the barely a frown expression he'd had before. I love what they did in that aspect.

 

He also has a rather interesting character design. He has cool hair, and a awesome little mustache. He's built like Big Mac and his horn is larger than most of the other ponies. He looks so important, you can just sense it the second you see him.

 

I love his personality, his character, and his design. He's just awesome.

 

 

Photo Finish was awesome too, with that accent.

I like Photo Finish. The accent is pretty cool, and she was in a Rarity/Fluttershy episode making her just that much more awesome.

I agree! She was a wonderful guest star! I can never stop laughing when I see Green Isn't Your Color. "I only have shoot, and I capture.... The Magiks."

Fancy Pants. Like OP said, he broke the stereotype of what Canterlot ponies are like which is something that both really surprised me and pleased me. Because of that, I also really appreciated how he seems to be able to form an opinion of his own when up until that point, Canterlot ponies appeared to just go with the flow of things and only adopt popular opinion over anything else.

Gotta love Fancy Pants. He's not a stuck-up snob like most of the Canterlot ponies seem to be. At a glance, you'd automatically assume that he's an elitist due to the crowd he's hanging with, but turns out he's far from it. He definitely seems to find some of his peers to be really pompous at times  and it's pretty typical how his peers consider anything un-Canterlot-like to be bad taste, but when Fancy Pants claims he likes something un-Canterlot-like, they completely change their opinions. But yeah, definitely a memorable character from the MLP universe.

 

Oh yeah, he's quite handsome as well.

Fancy Pants because although as his name implies he does appreciate the "finer" things in life he dosen't let any of that turn him into a stuck up snob. I think when he first met Rarity he might have sensed she was a bit different than many of the other "important" ponies he hangs out with.

Fancy Pants.  He's the type of stallion that would be perfect for Rarity- debonair, suave, stylish, but also genuinely kind hearted and actually has a mind of his own.

Definitely Fancy Pants. The fact that he isn't a self centered pony like everyone else and that he actually stood up for Rarity and her friends. He has more depth to his character than all the other canterlot ponies

Ahaha! I guess Princess's count! They do live in Canterlot. And Princess Luna is freaking amazing! Luna is best princess!

 

Fancy Pants.  He's the type of stallion that would be perfect for Rarity- debonair, suave, stylish, but also genuinely kind hearted and actually has a mind of his own.

I would Say Prince Blueblood. Why? Because I prefere Stallions with an attitude. not a stallion who is just nice. Also Prince Blueblood was funny, Has an amazing design, A fitting voice. I hope they bring him back, He broke the stereotype that all royals are mary sues

To me, Prince Blueblood was slightly annoying, but hilarious all the same. I would like to see him again, though I'm not sure if Rarity would or not, seeing how he treated her at the GGG.

Clearly Fancy Pants is the best. He's stylish, courteous and well-respected, but he isn't a stuck-up snob. He was quick to ensure Rarity that her friends were charmingly rustic, and he had no problems with them despite their bad manners. It's no wonder Rarity looks up to him.

Well as far as personality goes Fancy pants is best, because hes the only one whos not really a total stuckup snob.

I hate Fancy Pants because of the way he expects everyone to look up to him instantly why his kneck is always raised this is also the same with Blueblood.I don't like Photo Finish too much and I guess it has to be a princess so.Princess Celestia.

I definitely agree with what has been said so far. Fancy Pants is such a great character. He broke the stereotype around him and has such a nice and gentleman personality. He does have a great design as well and has an awesome mustache. My only issue with him is that he's married. He and Rarity would make a good couple.

 

 

Speaking of Fleur, I like that character as well. She is very pretty and I love her name and design.

I'm gonna have to go with Photo Finish. I pick her mostly because her extremely stereotypical accent was FREAKIN AWESOME! She made so much of what I liked in the episode and her design was pretty  "out there" and I really liked her, too bad she hasn't spoken ever since the first episode she showed up.

 

Also Fancy Pants is pretty cool too...

Princess Luna, no doubt about it. She's still learning about changes, and she's so cute and serious at the same time! She's just so awesome!
