Is anyone else here a Synthesizer nerd?

I love synthesizers, and synthesis/sound design is a huge interest of mine. I only own one hardware synth right now, which is an analogue 1986 Akai AX60. Analogue synthesizers are my favourite, though I spend a lot of time building custom patches in FM8, massive, and other software synths. I figured it would be nice to have a thread to discuss synthesizers and types of synthesis, be it subtractive, additive, FM, analogue, digital, hybrid, modular, waveshaper, anything really.

Name off some patches you've made with NI massive.  I'm interested.  I have an ancient Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.

Having fun with Frequency modulation synthesis?  What FM synths do you use?

They don't really have any cool names, usually I just call them things like bassgrowl, basswobble1, riser1, supersaw1, stringlead, etc... haha

ooooh a tb303? very cool.. I love old Rolands. Take good care of that thing!

Fm synthesis is cool, though it can be complex, tedious, and unstable at times. I use fm8, but I hope to get a yamaha DX7 soon.

I'd say I am: but I've only ever owned keyboards and all my synths are plugin ones as I haven't got the space to keep lots of synths and only got a midi controller keyboard

I'd love to own a TB303 and or a TR 909 drum, machine, iconic devices

Well judging by my name I think we all know where I stand, I still want a Moog Voyager really badly, though I only own a microKORG at the moment, and it's fun to mess around with it. Been wanting to mess around with modular stuff gonna save up some money for a modular system, though the new MS-20 remake looks dreamy. Decisions, decisions.

Yeah that microKorg is pretty awesome. Was playing with that in Guitar Center and was making full on trance in 10 minutes. I'd buy it in a heart beat if i won the lottery.

Let me put these here because they are on topic
