What did you do for summer?

It's been a summer in Japan...  90-100 degrees every day, some cool storms, a little earthquake rolled me around a few days ago and woke me up a little early, nothing bad.  Went out of the prefecture to check out some of the racing and realized that I would rather be in the pits again vs. living in Japan and just watching the races...  Regardless, I still hit up the pokemon store a few times and I'm still exploring the place.  In the pictures is my 3 foot long magikarp, a Pikachu toaster and N64.

Eh, I didn't do that much. I hung out with friends, went on the forums, played video games, read, and did family stuff. All in all, a pretty uneventful summer where every day was relatively the same. Still, it was pretty nice. Most summers I have something big I have to do like summer school or going to visit family, but this year I was able to take it easy. Some days I feel like I should have took summer classes or at least have gotten a summer job, but I think in the end it was a good decision not to. Sometimes we really need a break from all that hard work that comes our way in life, and it feels good to be able to take that break. :)

Oh yeah, I recall making a What are your plans for summer 2013? thread  it's interesting to see my plans and then seeing how my summer actually ended up. My original plans were to relax and hang out with friends, and that's pretty much what ended up happening.

I spent all summer wishing for summer to end. I want my cold weather back. I hate the heat and I hate summer in all it's stupid not-glory. I can't stand anything about 80 degrees, even at 75 I start getting sweaty. I want my 40s and 50s back. -__-

Oh and I played video games and lost my job so there's that too.

Man, I need a girlfriend to pamper or something.

Well first I went to a 'Boot Camp' for people that were going to be counseling later in the summer that was four days then we went to Cancun, Mexico for a week. It was fun but really hot. The AC was also really cold in somepleces there. Mostly just went swimming and went on some trips to see the Mayan ruins. After that I spent a ton of time in front of the computer. I did lots of drawing. Now this Sunday coming I'll be going to camp for two weeks. The first week as a counselor and the second week as a camper.

Summer's been pretty good. Hopefully the last few weeks are enjoyable too.

I did nothing. All I did was sit on the computer all day, listen to music, watch anime and asian drama and play video games. All my summer vacations had been nothing except in June 2011 when I went to Disneyworld.

I was pretty busy this summer with college and stuff but I did go to Spain for a week and played some golf there which was pretty fun :D

Expectations: Oh my god I'm going to do so much during my vacation! This is going to be the most productive summer ever! I'm totally going to do all the things I should've been doing years ago!

Reality: Stay up late watching series and playing videogames, eating lots of junkfood, sleep a lot. Oh and the occasional swim and hangover.

Videogames, eating, and sleeping. That's my whole summer.

Nothing to do really. School will give me stuff to do, (un)fortunately.

I have been taking a class in my college as I had to retake it due to failing it before, Aquatics Studies. It is very important as it is a pre-requisite to the next semester in September, if I fail I might as well stop going to college.

Today...

I passed!

My life is very bland, wake up, play video games, think, sleep, repeat. (This is how my summer is right now)

I wish I had more deviation in my life, something to break this cycle. If only I could get a car at my current age of 14, I wouldn't be anchored in the damn mountains. I could pursue the things that interest me, especially spending time at the beach which I am fond of.

I am a naturally shy and timid individual, as I am devoid of any social contact. I even find it difficult to walk outside, something I should probably go into therapy for. I haven't had a friend since pre-school so I don't really talk to anyone.

Let's see here. I...

  • Didn't die
  • Stayed alive
  • Maintained homeostasis
  • Kept normal body function occurring as normal

...Yeah, all I really did this summer was not die. I mean, I did some interesting things here and there, but not really much. I get the feeling that'll change once school starts, though.

Indeed.

Stayed inside, waste my precious seconds of life on the internet, and work 8D

in all seriousness xD but summer has been fun for me even with things not working out so well. Hanging out with a friend of mine as we play games, driving out to Virginia beach to see family and just hang out, more family as well staying out my house and all of us going out to eat, etc

Normally I wish I could go to Water Country but due to my skin condition, its a little hard to leave the park without getting sun burnt...even with sun screen

Started off back in May with plans for this summer, none of them really came true. Then suddenly at the very start of June I became a Brony and watched the MLP series all the way through.

Spent a bit of time doing nothing until July rolled around, started to jog and then boom! We are here, just three or so more days until school starts up again for me.

Aww, I remember the summer of 2019 like it was yesterday! I did join this forum, and met a lot of new friends!

I think about 50% of my summer went into the MLP forums. Well invested I think! Especially knowing it is the last time to be an official brony :ticking:

As usual, I'll be sticking to my regular routines this summer. I'll mostly be playing video games and working on my personal projects, but I'm going to continue to focus on losing some weight.

At first I rejected the zero, but that was because I simply didn't understand it. Now I do.

It took me about 10 seconds to deduce you are from Australia! I hope you will get a wonderful summer!

Hopefully. I'm expecting a few unbearable days though.

Work (and, unlike last summer, a full time job in the field I studied in college instead of a part time minimum wage job). And I took two days off from work to go to Vermont with two of my friends for a weekend. Unfortunately, inaccurate predictions of bad weather prevented us from doing as much hiking as we wanted to (but it was still a good time).

I should probably spend some of my free time doing something productive and working on personal projects I've been planning in my mind for years, but playing video games while listening to podcasts/watching youtube videos is so addictive!
