I might switch to logic pro x

Currently I'm using reaper, and as good of a Digital Audio Workstation as it is, it lacks a couple things I would like out of it. Namely a better interface, a movie window, and virtual instruments I can use. 

 

I guess the point of this thread is to convince me otherwise, encourage me, or give suggestion to a possibly better DAW. I would preferably get Digital Performer, but that is much more expensive than Logic. I also have a $100 apple app store gift card I could use toward Logic.

I've used the version before 10 and the new features look super cool. My personal favorite is able to, and everything is laid out way easier than logic imo. Whichever you choose, they all have the same features plus or minus little extras, so as long as you know what you are and aren't getting you can't go wrong.

i would personally go with ableton live, i don't know that much about logic, being a pc user, but i've heard a lot of people say that the workflow in ableton is much better than logic's

 

then again, if you have a good daw (logic, ableton, fl studio, cubase) it's more of a personal preference and witch one that suites you, i just recommend ableton because it just feels better to use, if you know what i'm saying.

I've used abelton before and I personally hated it. Same with fl studio I just didn't like how it worked. The better question is does abelton have a movie window. I do movie scores and I kind of need a movie window. After watching that video though I wasn't too convinced. The guy didn't seam too legit to me.

I have logic pro. I don't like it. It has terrible support for VSTs and such.

 

I'm currently in the process of switching to FL Studio. Progress has been on hold because of real life stress... It's a bit harder than it would be because I'm on a mac.
