Say the world was full of wizards or something, and it's totally normal to have magic. With that, there are many elements you could choose. You need to learn an element to defend yourself, or your family wants you to because the rest of the family already knows some. Or maybe you just want it because the element fascinates you.

The elements are usually seen in videogames, books, shows, or any other fantasies.

The choices are as follows:

-Air

-Earth

-Fire

-Water/Ice

-Lightning

-Poison/Disease*

-Science/Technomancery

-Light

-Darkness

-Necromancy*

-Void*

-Nature (Such as healing abilities that have to to with nature rather than holy healing powers)

-Time Manipulation*

(If I missed any, let me know)

Once you choose one element, you must master that element until you are able to master another (which takes five years for the average person). What will be your first element, and which element(s) would you learn after?

Any element with an asterisk * is forbidden and/or looked down upon by society.

--

Personally, I'd chose darkness. It fascinates me, and using the darkness to shroud and hide myself would be extremely useful.

My second element I would choose is Light. Not only would I be able to use it for other things, but it would also help my abilities relating to darkness since you need light if you want shadows.

Always had a huge thing for how cool Necromancy is and even academically studied it alongside voodoo for a little while using internet, I personally don't believe a word of things like this but just find them so damned fascinating not to learn about. But to answer your question you may refer to me a Lord Necromancer Quirky

darkness then necromancery and then light.

necromancery to get an army of zombie hamsters.

light just for fun

Hmm... Now that's a tough one. I like wind but I also really like light....

I think i'll go with wind. I don't know why, but it seems like a cool element. mlp-sbskeptical.png

Fire. To quote MandoPony's parody "Fire Fire Fire"

"Gonna set the world on fire fire fire..."

Then Lightning. I find it's power and accuracy fascinating.

Then Technomancery. I would love to build a robot army. It could never fear, and wield advanced weaponry.

ICE! I love ice so much! It's my favorite element, but it also reminds me of Winter, which is my favorite season. Icy blue is also my favorite color.

My second choice would be: Air.

I'd go with water, though I affiliate much more with the cold and ice, which doesn't necessarily have to associate with water. I like water though since I love sealife and inland rivers and biomes. I really wish I have a chance one day to see the Great Barrier Reef while its still around. Its such a rich, complex, beautiful, colorful and magnificent ecosystem like the others that exist on our Earth. Humans really need to learn to value and appreciate what they have better.

As for the cold and ice, personality wise it suits me. I can tend to be a cool and distant person and I prefer to be calm and collected. I actually don't like being around people that are too excitable or energetic. Plus the cold and ice are such vital elements to our life on Earth. They help reflect a lot of the Sun's rays and the nature of the cold helps preserve and regulate the world around us. You could say that along with darkness, ice and cold surround much of this universe.

There's something both sad and serene to that fact that the universe we live in is held together by equilibrium of the elements.

I kinda have to say while its a hard choice and i like all kinds of magical attributes i'll have to go with lightning.

Maybe its partly due to liking starwars to, but i just think Lightning looks cool and is just cool in general to me.

Of course, i like alot of the different elements i suppose for different reasons, i like magic in general :P.

Fire, Poison/diseases, Necromancy, Darkness and Science/Technomancery I would probably go with.  You know, once I think about it, I think I want to be a Chaos Librarian with a flame-thrower...

I kind of have a different canon theory of kinds of elemental magic, but overall, I would pick Earth.

I've always been fascinated and and somewhat connected to nature and the land around me. One of my dreams is to travel the world and perhaps become partially a Zoologist.

Here's a picture I found awhile back:

I think you should add void powers. As in the power to warp things out of existence. It's not a common power, but it's invariably powerful when it appears and most definitely dangerous.

Of those listed, though, I'd have to go with darkness.

Lighting to augment my speed, also moving at the speed of lighting is broken. After that I'd learn water style and combine the two. What is darkness? Manipulating shadows?  using the power of gravity?

Francium...Oh...never mind then.

It's not very badass, but I'd go with disease. Then I'd go around curing cancer and AIDs and stuff. I'd want to save people's lives. If I wanted to use it offensively, it could be a very subtle way of attacking enemies too.

Hmm... well, I might end up as a programmer someday and I'm sure some of my code will appear to be an act of technomancy, even in this magic devoid world!

//Magic, do not touch :lol:

But if magic were a common thing, I would try to master light spells. By nature, I'm a lot more defensive and I think that light is mostly defense and healing stuff. There are also enough flashy things in the offensive department to keep me entertained, but I would probably never use them to harm anyone.

As for the second element, it would be lightning. Not only because I love spamming lightning in minecraft, but because I think it fits pretty well with light. Really, I would just adding some very flashy and offensive things to what I already knew.

I would definitely go with Earth magic. I've always been fascinated with the different varieties of rocks and minerals, and how the tectonic plates, and earthquakes work. :P

I would also get to manipulate gemstones and some of the most valuable minerals, which in turn, would make me rich! ^_^

Not only that, but I would also have control over lava, magma, and the Earth's inner heat. I probably would be able to control metal and concrete to an extent since it is basically refined rocks and minerals.

If plants and nature too, counted as Earth, then it would definitely add to the potential. ^_^

I would make the whole land just a death trap and impossible to bear for my enemies!

I would shift the tectonic plates, and move entire continents! I would make a whole new pangea!! I would reshape the very surface of the planet into MY OWN TWISTED IMAGE!!!

MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!

lol jk.

But really, having Geomancy would be epic! ^_^

I'd definitely go with Science/Technomancery first. Magic powers that are focused on technology sound so cool. Lightning would be the second element that I'd learn to master because it kind of fits with the whole technology thing.

Uncommon, but it's actually pretty cool. I added it to the choices. I've seen it in a few places such as the anime "Zero no Tsukaima" and the game "Dragon Nest".

Every time I see it in something like those, it's fairly different from the others, though.

Poison/disease. You know, I don't care if this makes me sound like a Captain Planet villain, but I kind of like pollution. I like the smell of gasoline, I think smog is pretty, and, well, I smoke. I'm also pretty fond of acid and radioactivity, if its falls under this catergory.

Yeah, definitely my element of choice. If I could magically generate one thing from my fingers to use as a weapon, it would be either some sort of venom or poisonous gas.

Just like you, you took the words right out of my mouth.

Darkness is the true element that surpasses all even light.

If I had to choose a second, it would be a tie between lightning and light.

Necromancy and Fire. Like I give a damn what society thinks, I watch ponies for crying out loud ^_^

(This sentence is false! Try figuring out if it's true or not :P)
