dedacct6 2,591 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 (edited) So I'm a freshman this year and I recently finished my first week of school, and it wasn't so bad actually, in fact, it was the best furst day of school I ever experienced, because I kind of walked in the school wondering if my friends would recognize me sense I hadn't talked to them at all because I didn't go to their school for 8th grade. Then when I met up with them in lunch, I found out something I thought I would never see. Alnost My whole group of friends liked MLP. I was so happy sense I could talk to them with out feeling awkward about being a brony. It was one of the best days of my life! And I also got good teachers and I'm in a Japaneze class! I'm so happy! I love my life!!!! Sometimes -_- so I would like to know your stories, I'm sure it'll be either good or bad idk, just tell me. I give my first day a 9/10 it was awesome! But now I have to do homework Teachers: weekend homework! hahaha!!! Edited September 8, 2013 by PelateOvercast
Zygen 6,066 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 I was only in my first day of highschool as a freshman like last year, yet I don't remember it that clearly. It was kinda a confusing day if I remember, i wasn't sure where I was going for sure, and overall felt a bit overwhelming, i was also very nervous. Of course at after school band practice the same day i felt better, and yeah. Pretty decent overall I guess, but this year as a sophomore has been in general a little less confusing even if it's hard assignments. Especially my marching freshman year to now . 1 Thanks to Gone Airbourne for the awesome sig! Scootalove 10,689 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 My first day of freshmen year went pretty smoothly since we got a schedule, and had to get our parents to sign documents that claim that we will do our homework. I'm pretty much with the same people that I had in my class last year. N.W. 3,619 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 (edited) I go to a pre-engineering program at another high school in the county, not my home school, first day I hated it, but it grew on me and I am very glad I applied and did not go to my home-school. I just started my junior year Tuesday. Edited September 8, 2013 by armyassassin96
Hyper Tumble 1,483 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 My first day (which was only four weeks ago) involved a quite a bit of consulting the class schedule. All of the Upperclassmen in my school are horrible, so it was really bad at lunch. Celtore 2,770 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 Pretty easy considering the school I went to from grades 5-8 also covered high school. Grade 9 was basically a continuation of grade 8, the first day was spent getting back together with old friends and talking about how great the summer was. It's grade 10 when things went awry...

Lateon 589 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 (edited) I've had two: Freshman year the first: I had a broken leg. Everyone was like, "Oh my god, what happened?!" My friends laughed at me and said, "Nice start, don't you think?" to which I replied, "yep!" It was tough for the first week, because I had to get around on crutches around a decently sized high school. We had 5 minutes to get from class to class, so 5 minutes of walking = like 10 minutes of crutching around school. It was really exhausting, but my stamina eventually went up, and I could get around without a problem after about 2 weeks. Freshman year the second, orientation: There was a tornado. And a hurricane. Irene, she was called. That was fun. Freshman year the second, first day of class: I was late. Tuesday/Thursday classes start at different times than MWF. I thought they all started at the same time. 40 minutes after class started, I walked into Intro to Art History very meekly. Bonko 73 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 My first day of freshman year was pretty chaotic . The day started off regularly with breakfast, then school bus, then school. (Most of you know the process) Our school has 2 campuses (one is a freshman campus because of a overload of freshmans to my highschool from 3 different middle schools, other one is the rest of the grade 10-12) and we weren't informed of this ,so most of us had to go all the way to the freshman campus from the normal campus and we pretty much missed most of 1st period. The rest of the day was pretty normal, but the staff at the school pretty much treated us as if we were still 6th graders. Not going to blame them. Many of my classmates are fairly childish.
Blue Moon 6,341 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 My first day of freshman year was kind of bad. Since it was a new school, I had no idea where everything was, and how to navigate through the school. I kept getting lost, and even almost walked out the front door of the school. I also read my schedule upside down, and accidentally went into a classroom thinking it was mine when it was actually a higher grade's (the much older students should have gave it away, but I wasn't really thinking.) But it was nice to see all of my friends from 8th grade again, and I've gotten used to the school. 3 Autumn Blue Moon Clear Skies Summer
Two-of-Hearts 168 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 We're talking 15 years ago for me, and honestly it wasn't as important for me as it was for college. I don't remember much from my first day at highschool. All I can remember is walking to school with my best friend who I went to middle school with, and then I remember waiting outside the gym (because gym was my first class of the day), it was like 7 am and it was dark and freezing, and we were all kind of huddled there waiting for them to open the doors for us. So, yeah, for me highschool wasn't that important. People glorify it like this a super special time in your life, but honestly, college was way more important for me personally. Quill The Pony. 175 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 I started high school on August 22nd. So I did my normal morning crap. Ya know. Eat, shower, brush teeth, etc. Hopped on the bus. Did nothing. Went to homeroom. Fucked off and did nothing. After that I went to my adv.math class. Hated it since everyone in that class except 2 people treat me like a 2nd class citizen. I had computer after that. Didn't do anything. I'm neutral to the people in there. Had lunch and stuff. Hung out with a few friends. (Or as I should say, the few friends I have) Went to honors English. My best friend is in that class so I pretty much talked to her the whole time. Went to adv.science. I have atleast 2 people in their who I find decent, so that's a plus. I wasn't realy nervous, probably considering I blend in quite well with the upper grades, though most people in my grade aren't the nicest people... Antismurf9001 1,271 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 Which one? I've had two so far (one for high school; one for college). High school: It was overwhelming and confusing. I had no idea where I was going, and since I decided to go to a private school instead of continuing in the public system I knew virtually no one. I remember that it was a half-day though, and there was a long presentation at the beginning, so each class was ridiculously short. The teachers basically only had time to take attendance and maybe hand out the syllabus. College: I got here, moved in, met my roommate, and sent my mom off (I felt really bad; since I'm the younger sibling of two, she was an absolute wreck leaving me here...). Then there was about a week until classes started. I don't really remember the first day of classes that well, but I do know that it started with an 8am class. scooterlou 23 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 (edited) My first day of freshman year in high school was embarrasingly long ago, but what I do remember of it was good - I actually got to see the older kids from my neighborhood, and when they said hi to me, I felt so awesome, like I was one of the cool kids 'cause I knew some upperclassmen. I also remember being really excited about band in high school - the band room was huge, and there were over 100 students in band, so it was awesome! First day of my freshman year of college was a different story. After a move-in day where I spent the entire three hour ride wedged between a microwave and a video game cart, I unpacked my stuff and waited for my roommate to arrive (she never actually did, I wonder why). I spent most of the evening poking around the campus store and wandering around my hall in the dorm to meet my hallmates, and plastering my walls with anime drawings. On the first actual day of classes, I wandered around campus aimlessly and hopelessly lost at some points while I tried to find my classes, I knew absolutely nobody on campus, I was in a completely different town, and the most depressing bit was at the end of my first day, the guy I was dating in high school (who went to college on the other side of town from me, so it's not like we were that far away from each other) dumped me. At least there was one highlight - unlimited internet access, hahaha. No worrying about my mom only letting me have an hour online at a time! TheMangoPony 146 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 (edited) I don't remember my first day as a freshman in highschool, that was grade 7 where I'm from. My first day as a freshman in university was insane... we threw a party in my room and crammed about 100 people in a tiny tiny dorm room. I was dancing on my desk and my bed got permabent for the rest of the year from people dancing on it. I guess I made out with a lot of people... At one point I had to go to the bathroom, and people told me to just jump off the desk and crowd surf down the hall, so that's what I did. Yeah... it was a gong show, lol. Fluttershyfan94 5,742 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 The school system is different in my country, I won't try to explain it. Basically, my first year or semester was rather uncomfortable. Before I went to school, I was so scared of actually going there. I shed a tear before I went there, then as I was there I realized I was the shortest guy in school so that didn't help either. There was so much homework that I hardly could go home, I was just all day in school then working on my homework when I came home. At first I had no friends and I didn't want to bother my sister so I tried staying away by just being in the library. Completely isolating myself, people constantly bumping into me. I couldn't even see stuff, since people are ridiculously tall. I just learned quickly that the only safe place I had was the library. So you can imagine that I just lived there for a long time, a whole semester actually. Until next semester, then I started to exit the library and discovered more of the school. I guess school got better after a year had passed, it was kind of a shock for me since I live in a small town, very small town. Then suddenly all of those people, I always felt uncomfortable the whole time. I didn't really ever have friends at school, I don't know anyone except now I do. I don't care, I'm not in school to have friends I'm only there because it's school. Smarts 1,622 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 My first day of freshman year was horrible. No big surprise, I know. No friends, instantly judged, and not a single soul liked me or wanted anything to do with me. I'm used to that kind of stuff from my years of being at school, but it still hurts. In terms of work, there was none, thankfully. It was just simple lectures and paperwork meant for my parents. 2 IF is best girl.
Mutemutt 773 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 High school: I don't remember what happened very well but I get the feeling it went pretty smooth. I was just really quite, as usual, and the teachers just sorta went through their first day routines. I didn't really talk to anyone until I went to join the band; that's where I met one of my best friends in high school. We were both freshman and played the saxophone, though I was an alto and he was a tenor, got along right away. College: I pretty much just waved my parents goodbye and wasted the first days exploring the campus and getting used to having a roommate that was just as quiet as I was (after going through the process of getting the keys to the room and pile all my stuff in said room, of course). Inactive01 5,299 September 8, 2013 Share September 8, 2013 High school: It was terrible. Right on the first day, the girls tried to flirt with me and I was left dumbfounded. I also had trouble interacting with other people which led them all to believe I was a retarded kid. Not fun at all. University: Awesome. I wasn't bothered by anyone at all, and I actually met my first university friend when I went to biology class. The people were so welcoming in general and I felt right at home. Avatar tag: shipping 299 September 9, 2013 Share September 9, 2013 When I was in school, high school was 10-12. Junior high was 8 and 9. Since I was in the same school it went fairly smoothly. Every class was an orientation day so they were all boring and full of syllabuses (syllabi?) to sign. The main thing I remember was that my classes were spread way apart. A class on the 4th floor, one in the west wing, one in the basement, etc. College was a little different. I met my first roommate, moved all my crap in, and met my floor mates. Classes were similar though. Orientations and classes spread way far out. At the end of the day, all the freshmen rang a bell near the stadium to mark the beginning of their time in college. Then off to the local frat houses to party the night away. Sig by the one and only Doc Volt! Gone but not forgotten! Guess who's back!!! Luna damn it!Your PMs are not safe! Trust no one! crazitaco 596 September 9, 2013 Share September 9, 2013 (edited) Its funny, i remember my first day at freshman bandcamp better than my actual first day of high school. Band camp started about a month before school, so i was already used to a morning schedule and into the full swing of things by the time classes started. It didn't really feel like a first day. But yeah, it was okay. Once i got past the typical band-morning part, I was very confused on where my classes were. i couldn't find my friends at lunch (because they had a different lunch shift than i) I wasn't used to having a wide campus. My sister pretty much helped me with everything though :3 After school, i would just hang around until my dad picked me up.The Bandhall is like my home at school, so i was always either in a class, or in the bandhall at all hours until i left.
