I'm actually really excited for halo 4 believe it or not. I didn't buy reach or CE anniversary but I really enjoyed halo 3 so i'm hoping it will be as worth my money as halo 3 was.

Heh, I just bought Halo Reach from a Blockbuster that was going out of business a few hours ago

 

I think the only reason I bought it was for Forge mode... I remember having a blast doing crazy stuff with it in Halo 3

 

I might give the campaign a try though sooner or later though, lol.

You've never played the campaign for reach? Even though their was some beef with it, their was a good story behind it and was an interesting game to play non the less.

My thoughts on it:

• "Spartan Ops" is a pretty cheesy name but I like the concept of it. Sounds like a structured variation of Firefight. Which is something I've been hoping for.
• Elites in campaign. Great to hear. Bungie has spent 10 years developing the Covenant in gameplay, I would have been disappointed should 343i had thrown it all away.
• No respawn delay. For the most part, cool. I'll assume the maps have been improved to compensate for the quick re-entry into the game.
• Armour Abilities. Cool, once again it's great to hear that they didn't toss everything away. Forerunner Vision sounds neat.
• Upgrades. I like the idea of upgrades. Everyone goes: OMG ITS LIKKE CAL OD DOOTY NOW, but seriously CoD was not the first to implement an upgrade system into their games, nor does a game implementing an upgrade system imply it was copied and pasted from CoD.
• New gamemode. Sounds meh, don't really care much for FFA.
• 4 grenade types. Woohoo.

Eye its from all dem cupcakes you eat, but the series really hasn't gone down hill Reach got close and I still am not a fan of it but it did accomplish alot otherwise. They made the story very interesting, brought new game modes into the scene, allowed completely new ways to play the game forge and custom options. H3 brought along a feature that many games didn't do very well which was forge. Gameplay was great and it really felt fun to play even after 2 years.

 

My only concern with Halo 4 is that its starting to turn into every other game out on the market. Halo from the beginning was about everyone starts off no matter the time you played started off as equals on the battlefield. Just because you play longer then the guy who picks it up 3 weeks later, shouldn't put that person at a disadvantage. I understand the reasoning which is to get alot of people to cross over and feel at home, but their losing the real touch Halo had. I loved 1,2,3 how everyone spawned with AR, nades, pistol, and you pickup weapons and armor abilitys around the map.

 

I really do hope that they make this game work. I felt horrible after playing reach for awhile noticing how it didn't cater to the community, but to the noobies who will move on when the next game comes out.

The Halo series is and has been one of my favourite game series of all times and especially because I've been playing it ever since I discovered it as a little filly. I have loved both the singleplayer and multiplayer adventures throughout the games ever since!

 

I've had some pretty epic and fun times in Reach and wouldn't call it really call it horrible or bad like some users do.

Personally I think it's a great game.

 

ODST on the other hand as Finest said had a cool city but wasn't really that good. The gameplay wasn't as great as they told us it would be but I honestly think the idea they had was great, but horribly executed.

But now over to the other games.

 

I've had alot of fantastic times on Halo 2 & 3 with alot of people back when they were really popular!

Also I remember playing alot of Halo Wars when that came out and I still play it but rarily. That is Mainly because I know no one who plays it but I bet I'd play it alot more if I did know someone.

And truth be told I still hop on Halo 3 every now and then and play a couple of matches for the fun of it.

 

And I remember the day I played Halo CE for the first time on my xbox. It was such an amazing adventure for me considering how it probably was the first shooter I had ever played. I played it for weeks, if not months and never got tired of it!

I still to this day remember how I kept trying to complete it on Legendary mode.. <3

The thing about Halo 4 is that it's being made by the developer that made Halo 3. Microsoft bought his contract signed with bungie so he left which is why Halo: 3 ODST and Reach weren't that good. Frankie is the guy that basically MADE Halo 3 what it was. It is still one of the best games ever created. Halo 4 shouldn't be bad. I'm just happy bungie isn't making it.

All the hate over my favorite game ever... been a Halo fan since i was ten years old... now dont go hatin on it. Just aint right you ponys... And im being honest. Im anticipating Halo 4 not just so i can see what happened to the Spartan that Saved EARTH from The Flood and the Prophet of Truth from starting the activation of Beta Instillation 04. Now, John has been through alot of manure. Trace back the events of Halo 1,2 and 3. And tell me you dont want this man to come home for a WELL deserved long vacation dont you think he should come home after saving "our way down the road future Generations"? Thats your Great Great Great grand children getting infected, burned, stabbed, and obliterated (not really, but from the games perspective)

 

Im TRULY Anticipating the Brand new Forge mode 3.0 The rumors about it say it has EVERYTHING from previous, and current Campaigns as well as the extras. Now if i get my hands on an Expanded Forge World,... Ponys... i really cant tell you the outcome. i may have a heart attack. I love to forge. iv made some of the best maps for Slayer, Infection, Griff Ball, and Race. Lets give it a shot before we downgrade it. If it knocks rocks into the river, i will admit defeat. But i WILL finish the story of John-117
