Zecora has got one, but thats probably because she specializes in magic. But do donkey's got no cutie marks? Slendermane 477 February 22, 2012 Share February 22, 2012 I think that as Ponies evolved, they gained the ability to harness the magical energies of the land. Earth Ponies gained the ability to help plant growth, Pegasi can fly and manipulate clouds, and Unicorns can manipulate magic directly. They all gained cutie marks, which seems to be a magical trait. I think that other races ever gained cutie marks because they aren't as closely tied to the magic of that world. I don't know if Zecora's sun mark is a cutie mark, or if it is just a tattoo, like a tribal mark. However, other magical animals don't have cutie marks, like dragons, so my theory may be wrong. 1 Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. Like slendermane said, I think its probably because of their special connection to the forces of magic which no other creature has. In the case of Zecora, I think hers might just be a special design in her stripes. It's party time, ponies! Probably due to the fact that they control all of the meteorological, stellar, and earthly events in all of Equestria and probably the entire planet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dragons don't have cutie marks yet only Fluttershy is shown to be stronger than them. Ignoring the fact that she's Dovahkiin of course. I firmly believe that Zecora's "cutie mark" is not a real cutie mark but a tribal tattoo trying to replicate a cutie mark. Also, think about it this way: Cutie marks tend to be on things that are pretty, that little girls will want to have toys of to brush their manes, play dress-up, etc. Can you see little girls playing dress-up with a cow, or a donkey? Either 1) Somebody forgot Zecora (Ponies can be somewhat pony centered. Bridle Gossip, Twilight was the only 1 who had even heard of Zebras). 2) That thing on Zecora's butt is a tattoo not a Cutie Mark 3) Zecora has some pony blood.
