Umm Orion's group was making their way towards Splinterhoof Hills, they just arrived there and Zintiik flew back to find Willow before they went across.

 

The original group is at the base of the Falls.  Midnight has found where the Litany is hidden, Kingfisher came down with a case of Amnesia because of something in the water, Aphrodite found a magic rock which reversed her personality, and Crimson got hit with a truth curse (I think that covers most of it?)

If I haven't done so already I'd like to apologize for my lack of activity...I got a job!  but the training week has been hell for pretty much everything. I'm sure that next week it will get better and I'll be posting more again.

Thank you! I'm pretty excited. I've been looking for a job for...six years now. 

 

Also anyone have suggestions for what to do with Mirror? She doesn't really have much of a place in Orion and Scribblers conversation....it's been too long since I last posted to just jump in to that.

I thought about doing most of those but it seemed like an important conversation and I didn't want to interrupt it...I thought it was required that Orion begin to trust at least one of his new companions.

If you haven't read her OC sheet Mirror Image was scarred when she was younger. She no longer feels anything on the right side of her body. To cover up the scars she keeps an illusion up at all times. Also she's pretty skilled at creating illusions so it's next to impossible to notice unless something she doesn't know about happens...like getting cut by those rocks.

On a brighter note though, there seemed to be more to Mirror then met the eye - an illusionist? Something more subtle that his barely-contained magic would no doubt prove useful if they faced off against the thugs again: and considering his new talents so far seemed overly focused on destruction, both her and the stallion would be immeasurably valuable.

Red watched the mare disappear into the forest with the changeling: she hadn't noticed his mistake: that was good - he had never been able to lie to Dawn and while Willow certainly wasn't her, the similarities made telling her untruths feel unpleasant. He was keen to avoid any more deception than was necessary.

He waited a moment to be sure they wouldn't glance back before shaking himself: his joints felt stiff and the bite from the dragon-thing stung somewhat, but none of the damage seemed debilitating - save for the implacable sickness he felt inside his chest... and perhaps for sword.

"Huh. Mayhap I require a new weapon..." He muttered, hanging at his side out of habit anyway before slinking into the trees after them.

Not at all: it was supposed to read:

'maybe someone who is good at something that doesn't involve things blowing up will be useful.'

 

Also, yeah - Orion has access to almost ludicrous amounts of knowledge and power... but very little control over it. As much as he might want to try and cast spells like that, it would probably end really badly. He doesn't know his limits. Specifically his lower limits.

Blasted Nova went on his own, regardless of what anypony said. He began treading down the Falls rather cautiously, making sure he wouldn't slip and fall into the bottomless pit below. He intended to take the Litany for himself and take it somewhere Orion would never find it. Or, at least, cover some more ground when the group eventually catches up.

Y'all are in the temple I believe. The litany has weakened everyone. Earth ponies have lost their strength, Pegasi can't fly and unicorns can't use magic...which may be troublesome for Mirror...
