Ponies on Steam Engines!

So the other day, I got really bored at work....then I got this amazing idea.  On my computer I always have the Mamod Steam engine forum and MLP forum up....and I thought, Why not combine the two?!?!? ....I am NOT knowledged in photoshop or anything like that (I have linux and it has GIMP image editor).  So, this is my first try at combining Steam Engines and ponies.  And I love Sweetie Belle in a basket and that SOON meme, so I went with that for my first try.  I actually plan to have ALL the Mane 6 and best Background ponies riding Steam engines.....So yeah, here it is; tell me what you think of the idea?  It took me like an hour to do....(i'm pathetic I know)

As someone who likes trains, this strikes a nice chord with me. And for some reason, I seem to enjoy seeing Sweetie Belle in real life photos more than most other ponies. Treble Bolt, you just made my day.

Trains would so much easier to do this to, because there are so many pictures of different types from different angles.  (I like steam locomotives....steam's my thing, but i ain't a punk )    I am glad it made someone's day didn't expect that.  I don't want to repeat photo's either, so for every pony, there'll be a different engine.  I probably won't combine it with a meme (since meme's are so...memey)...Sweetie Belle's expression...I wonder what she means....

Well, here's my newest picture of Ponies on steam Engines....This one featuring Bon Bon and Lyra!!!

 

This one was actually WAY faster to do, because now I am familiar (enough) with the tools I need to put this all together.  What took the longest this time was adding a shadow to Bon Bon, and I still don't think it turned out the best (I have no idea what I'm doing ).  The first one was fun with the SOON meme, but with this one I can't help but wonder what they are saying and thinking.  When I saw the Lyra vector, I knew I had to incorporate it because, well, you know, you needs HANDS to operate it. (lol)

 

Next up is our favourite drunk!!

It's that bad, huh?  I just thought since the fannon sees her as the town drunk, it'd be funny to see her crashing a steam engine....since they go slower than walking speed....the pic is actually from a real accident where people DID get drunk and crashed the steam roller into a pub going 2mph....

I guess it's just hard to interpret what people mean through typed text vs. talking to people.   I have a black and white pic of a steam engine that crashed too, and though about adding Berry Punch to it, but all the people are looking at the camera (it was taken during a time when photography was still 'the newest thing since sliced bread' ) but this one seemed funnier

 

I think I should do the Mane6 next....These ponies were more or less "testing the waters" with my newly found picture altering skills (if you could call it that)

i was citating an old man after seeing a tractor sliced in half during work   he said those exact words: "that's just a sad display boy"

i thought it fitted the image XD btw i don't like really much the mane6 in this kind of work.. i prefer backgorund ponies.. in particual the mains ones, that means Derpy-Doctor hooves, Lyra-bonbon, Octavi-Vynil i would love to see those six togheter, they are my favs

Well, making these has been suprisingly fun, and I plan on making one for ALL the ponies that have relevence in the show....If I find multiple vectors of the same pony that would work with this theme, I'll have different pictures for those too.  I am planning on making this an actual series....maybe it'll become a meme...who knows ?

who knows? they are pretty nice but to become popular you should take a more popular topic such like tuned car, for instance in my cuty lives a rich guy who has a Nissan Gtr, he painted it dark grey, hw drown a purple musical key on the top of the drunk (Octavi cutie mark) and on the border of spoilers, 2 purple lines on the top and purple neons and braking system... then an Octavia playing in both doors it would be cool to see Octi near this car...http://www.hdwallpapersinn.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/avus-performance-nissan-gt-r-black-edition.jpg

 

i think that Octi fits with it because sure it is a fast car, but it is also confmfortable and warm..

 

for vynil i think abaout a 80's Nissian Skyline.. Not sure how my father/grandfather would react though since I usually go with them....

 

I mean they don't care about the whole spiel, but they'd probably think it was outright strange to be up to that...
