Point is, TUBA POWER. Wow... The stereotypes are that pervasive, huh? I honestly don't even know much about stereotypes for my instruments... In fact, when it comes to me playing the bassoon (it's my main instrument) instead of being stereotyped, people from all over seem to be incredibly fascinated by it. Some people are immature, and then there are the internet trolls (which I haven't even dealt with in years. lol), but that's about it. In orchestra we have some level of respect, and are complimented after practically every rehearsal. o.o Anyway, yeah... Poor Beauty Brass. The tuba obviously isn't my favorite instrument, but as it is a wind instrument, and I consider wind instruments altogether to be my favorites, I will stand up for it. It makes me sad that even when Octavia and Beauty Brass had both only appeared once in the show, Octavia's popularity shot up, but Beauty Brass was almost completely unheard of. There are like three orchestral string playing ponies that show up as background ponies, but we only have one for winds, and she has only shown up once. =( Although we do have Pinkie Pie. =P Everything needs more woodwind!
