Probably my all time favourite Christmas song right here.

Along with...

  • Jingle Bells
  • It's beginning to look a like Christmas
  • Chestnuts roasting on open fire.

I like the solemn power of 'We Three Kings' and the soothing repetition of 'The 12 Days of Christmas'. 'O Come All Ye Faithful' is awesome too.

On a humorous note, 'We Wish You'd Bury the Missus' from the Cryptkeeper's Christmas album just kills me. Wait till he gets to the "she's hurting property values" part. derpy_emoticon2.png

There are some of the poppy tunes that I like... Although, I must say I have to be in the mood to enjoy them. Some of them hold great nostalgic value, being that I really only hear them at one time of the year... That gives them more of a special feeling, but they can also be quite depressing to me nowadays, as my life has changed so much over the last few years.

Oh my sorry... I get carried away like that... D: My top favorite Christmas songs are, quite ironically considering me, the more religious ones. I also like them orchestrated, or otherwise instrumental, like this:

It's a beautiful brass choir rendition of O Come All Ye Faithful. That instrumentation for that song is very nostalgic for me, as well. But it is, undoubtedly very beautiful either way.

does redneck songs count?

Though seriously.... I really like Rudolph the Rednose Reindeer...of course, I like deer....

Other than that, most Christmas songs repeat in different ways everywhere you go during the holiday season, so they just get aggravating really fast personally...I'd appreciate Christmas songs more if they weren't shoved down your throat!  But then again, with all this 'religion shouldn't be forced' BS going on, many popular Christmas songs won't be played anymore (because they are Christian related) and I may actually miss those songs, because then all the songs about snow will get more numerous, and even though snow is nice and all, seeing it AND hearing about it in song will just get downright deplorable!

Well I don’t have a particular Christmas song I like or anything: but I do like the Salsoul Jollies Christmas Medley album: which is kind of a mix of all of the well known Christmas song's performed by the Salsoul Orchestra, with (as per usual for Salsoul) lots of wonderful orchestration and a driving 4/4

In terms of Christmas standards, my favorites are:

Peace On Earth

The Little Drummer Boy

Frosty The Snowman

We Three Kings Of Orient Are (Especially the Beach Boys version. It's amazing)

Also, the entirety of "A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector" and most of The Beach Boys' Christmas Album.

The previously mentioned Beach Boys song:

And what kind of person would I be to not mention this?

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,
Ring-ting-tingling too,
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you,

*skips to end*

neeeeeeeEEEEEEIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Sleigh ride has grown on me and I have to say is my favorite.

  • 1 month later...

I love most Christmas songs, but here are some of my favorites:

  • It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
  • March of the Kings
  • God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
  • Do You Hear What I Hear?
  • Carol of the Bells
  • Emmanuel
  • What Child Is This?
  • Hark The Herald Angels Sing
  • Joy to the World
  • We Saw Three Ships
  • Good King Wenceslas
  • The Holly and the Ivy
  • We Three Kings
  • Mary Did You Know

I enjoy traditional renditions of these songs, as well as some alternate renditions. For example, I like some metal renditions of several of these songs.

My own favorite Christmas song must be Kidnap the Sandy Claws by Lock, Shock and Barrel from The Nightmare Before Christmas

 [LOCK, SHOCK & BARREL]
Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Tie him in a bag
Throw him in the ocean
Then see if he is sad

[LOCK & SHOCK]
Because Mr. Oogie Boogie id the meanest guy around
If I were on his Boogie list, I'd get out of town
