Jaeger walked out of the room and went to find his collection. He opened a door in the hallway to reveal a nice arrangement of weapons, gadgets and armor. "Alright...let's see...light armor...long ranged silent weaponry...as well as close range...and maybe a few smoke grenades...for fun." he said as he grabbed his things. He applied his light armor that had a matte black color, putting his torn black cloak over it, tying it around his neck. He pulled out his bow and a quiver of steel, jagged tipped arros which he slung over hs back. He pulled out his pistol and applied a suppressor, finally he strapped on his smoke grenades around his chest under his cloak. He walked back into the conference room.

He heard somepony ask, he thought directed towards him, if he was almost ready to be off. He tuned towards the pony and gave a slight nod. "I am....do I know you by any chance?" he asked, wondering who the pony was.

Guardian quickly withdrew two vials full of amber liquid, and two syringes. He took blood from both arms and add a drop into each potion, before carfully labling them. "ah good, thank you very much, this should help later incase somepony gets hurt.". He also stored the blood samples in his magical backpack.

Lee turned around and saw Jaeger standing there. "Oh, hi, I was just pondering if every pony was ready, and yes, you have seen me before. I looked like Solar Sentinel at the time though. I had changed to to look like him to be able to get in to our original meeting room when I couldn't get past him. I didn't want to reveal who I was...or what I was to him." Lee stuck out his hoof, "Lee, Luna branch. Good to officially meet you."

Charcoal rubbed her arm a bit. If hadn't hurt, but it did leave her feeling a bit tingly. "Alright. I suppose it can be helpful, but don't expect me to actually use that unless it is a very bad wound and I will be desperately be needing it to be able to live." Charcoal said.

Jaeger let out a slight chuckle. "That was you huh? Good trick, I about died laughing on the inside." he said shaking his head, still chuckling. "It's good to meet you Lee, my name is Jaeger, Tactical Specialist in the Black Legion. I might not look it, but I've got good wits." he said scanning his armor before smirking and tapping his temple with his hoof.

Sunny looked at Lask warily, not trusting the syringes he held. She had never liked any of the fancy-shmancy medical stuff even ever since she were a young filly. "What is this for again?" She asked Guardian, even though she already knew the answer. Clarification was in her best interests as she shivered, watching him take blood from both Charcoal and Lee.

Lee nodded to him and smiled. "Well, thank you. Glad to know I inspire something besides fear and hate. Let me tell you, I have to keep my true back ground secret from most of the usual night guard. They still aren't to happy with changelings. I didn't know about all the trouble you had with them for a while, then...well, I had an incident where I had to shift and...my associates weren't to happy at finding out my true origin. Luna wiped that minor incident from their minds, luckily there were only three that found out, but it was still a mess, let me tell you."

Jaeger nodded slightly. "Sure....whatever you say..." he muttered as he stood and walkedtowards the door of the room as to go and find an amory to get his supplies together.

Jaeger stopped when he passed Solar, It appeared the stallion was in deep thought....or maybe he just dosed off with his eyes open. Jaeger tapped him on the shoulder and spoke quietly as to not disturb the others conversations. "You alright? You look like your thinking hard. If your planning I can understand it. That's what I do as well..."he said pausing at the end for a moment before speaking again. "Why not come get suited up with me? It'll give you a chance to ask me that question." he said with a chuckle.

Solar Sentinel

Solar nodded at Jaeger as he finished up his backup plan, just in case it come down to it. "...nothing like having a backup for a backup." He said with a slight chuckle. "Sure, I'll come with you. We may just need to swing by my office afterwords to grab a few things. As for that question....I'll wait till we're packed up."

 

Solar got up from the table and fallowed Jaeger, but a few steps behind him. As Jaeger stopped to chat with the changeling from earlier, Solar sat back a small ways to not interrupt....waiting for the opportunity to enter the conversation.

Solar walked up behind Lee, not stealthy, but enough for his presence to be felt. Listening to his conversation with Jaeger.

 

"That's a pretty nice trick you have there. It might come in useful on this mission." As he paused for a moment. "When you get a chance, swing by my office...the one accost from your captains...and we'll have an ID made up for you."

 

Solar was looking Lee dead in the eye with a serious look. "You know she dosen't like being interrupted during the day for such little things as a lost ID badge. Shame I'll have to wake her..." As he looks at him dead serious face, however he was laughing on the inside, and was hoping Lee would pick up on his attempt to get back at him, jokingly of course.

Lee turned around and looked at Solar. He blushed a bit. "Yeah, sorry, I thought I was late. Was in a rush to get down there. By the time I made it. Well, I realized I didn't have my ID on me. I also didn't have my armor so I couldn't prove to the guard that I was part of the night guard." He looked at Solar and sensed the mirth welling up inside of him. It surprised him. He'd assumed that, if looks could kill, he'd be dead already. He smiled, "Ah ha. Good one, you almost pulled one on me. Good job at the attempt, but can't trick the antennae." Lee laughed and nodded. "Anyways, I plan on using my abilities the best that I can on the field. If we're going in to somewhere dangerous, might as well be ready eh?" He winked at Solar and, in a flash of green, looked exactly like him again. He saluted then marched off in an over exaggerated march toward where the air ship waited.

"Come on Solar!" he said in a joyfull sounding tone for once. "Unless you've got prior engagements of course." he said with out turning around.

"ah yes, this is something that will allow me to heal you if anything goes wrong on the journey. In case of blood loss, i can preform a transfusion, but i need a blood type. Also i can make blood potion which is a strong healing potion, that requries one drop of the ponies blood. It is completly optional."

Lee shifted back to his normal form as he walked on to the ship. He looked around for a moment before deciding to see if there was a mess hall on the ship. He walked over and through a door and down some steps, walking around, and hoping his nose would evetually lead him to some food.

Sunny smiled lightly before shaking her head. "That's very nice of you do be helpin everpony out like this but... " She eyed his utensils again once more, shivering fearfully, "I don't much like needles heh." Giving a look of embarrassment, Sunny trotted past Guardian hurriedly so she wouldn't have to see him take other ponies' blood again.

Charcoal saw Lee go inside the ship and decided to follow him. As she walked into the ship she was in awe at how wonderfully constructed it was. She simply stared at the ships insides as she walked, not paying attention to where she was going until she bumped into Lee.

"I'm almost ready Jaeger, just need to get a few things out of my office first....besides I've got a few things that we might find useful on this excursion....not to mention somewhat private."

 

Solar began the walk up to his office. He had his new weapon, and thought that Jaeger would be interested in.

 

"Hey jaeger, would you like to see some of the new toys the Sky Guard has?"

Jaeger nodded in agreement and decided to follow Solar to his office. He was idly interested in these toys he mentioned. Jaeger loved collecting and asserting weaponry...especially rare ones. "Yes please...I'm hoping this "toy" you speak of..." he said with a smile.

Lee had found the mess hall and was looking around at the food that was out when he felt some pony bump in to him. He turned around and saw Charcoal standing there. "Oh, hey Charcoal. You hungry too?" He looked around again at the food considering what to grab. "Pony food may not fill me up, but there is definitely something to be said for the taste. Especially chocolate. I love chocolate!" He walked over to the dessert section and grabbed a slice of chocolate cake and then sat down at a table, digging in and loving every minute of it.

Charcoal jumped a bit at Lee talking to her. "What?" She looked around and saw she was in the mess hall. "What? How did I get here? But, as long as I am." She looked around and found some lemons. She took a few and sat with Lee. She used a knife to cut open the lemon and poured the juice directly into her mouth.

Lee gave Charcoal a funny look as she drank the lemon juice straight from the lemon. He opened his mouth to comment on it, then shut it again, and went back to eating his cake. After he finished his cake, he stood up and looked around for something to drink. Noticing the ciders, he walked over and looked for his favorite brand of hard cider. Finding it, he grabbed a bottle and walked back to the table where Charcoal was and popped the top off, taking a swig, and enjoying the taste.

Charcoal hot as much juice out of the lemon as she could and set it down. She saw Lee drinking cider and smiled. "Mind if I have a drink? It isn't as good as lemon juice, but the two of them combined can create an interesting flavor if I do say so myself." Charcoal said.

Lee nodded and passed Charcoal his bottle. "Actually, could you just add some lemon to the bottle? I'd like to see what it tastes like." He waited for her to take a drink and add some lemon to it. He was interested to see how the blend of tastes would turn out.

Charcoal smiled. "Sure." She added the lemon juice and took a drink. The sweet cider and the sour lemon, with the two of them combined Charcoal nearly squeed. After she took a drink she passed it back to Lee to let him give it a try. She might get her own even.

Lee took the bottle and took another drink. He grinned at the mixture, and took a second drink right away. "Wow, that is really good! I should drink this more often." He yawned and looked around. "Sorry, but I'm getting kinda tired. I need to take a rest before we get underway." He got up and walked off to find a room that he could rest up in, so he'd be ready for the big trip.

Charcoal watched as Lee walked off. She grabbed the rest of her lemons and followed him. She liked this guy. She had never gotten anypony else to try lemon cider before. She wanted to see if she could get a room close to him. Or even a room with him if need be.

Lee heard hoof steps behind him and turned to see Charcoal following him. He smiled at her, some what oblivious to what was happening until he felt her emotions. "Wow, she...she actually likes me." He had said this to himself, so as not to appear as ignorant as he felt. He nodded in a friendly fashion at Charcoal and said, "You know, I don't need to rest quite yet, want to find a room and talk? You've told me about your cutie mark, but what do you do in your off time? Do you like reading?" He stopped outside one of the rooms and smiled at Charcoal, seeing if she would act on her feelings. It's strange, he realized, no pony other then Fluttershy over looked the fact that he was a changeling, and looked at his heart. He felt that Fluttershy was more of a sister then anything else though, he felt to protective of her to be anything else. What he was starting to feel for Charcoal though, and the emotion he felt radiating from her, it was something different.
