movies/tv Most disturbing movie scene you've seen?

Imagine a five year old SmartyPants, if you will. His parents are watching a movie named "Ghost Ship" and he sneaks in and catches a glimpse of it. He decided to watch it in secrecy. There is a scene where some people are dancing. Nothing bad. Then, some wire zips across the room and everyone starts falling apart. Cut in half, crawling all over the floor, and one guy's face was sliced in half. I had the worst nightmares for a while. That still disturbs me, even to this day.

I watched all the August Underground movies. They're designed to look like real snuff films so I can't post clips, they're too graphic. Basically they torture, beat, and hold people captive. they cut a women's nipple off and puked on her, etc. Read the plot for them if you want.

I was just about to nominate the same myself. I mean the movies are sick.

Though, mordum is focusing more on the gore if I remember right. And well we have a thread about the most disturbing movies, this is the most disturbing threads, SO;

I know there was this one scene in the movie Irreversible that really had an impact on me. Not cause it's more graphically disturbing than other movies like Mordum, but I just felt somehow that the film was so.. idk real. Sounds funny since mordum is filmed like it's supposed to be real, but this was something else.

there is also this other scene I saw in some japanese movie where they broke two guys' balls one at a time with a hammer... I literally held my hands on my own that scene hahaha... hm okay maybe not that disturbing but when a movie causes you to protect yourself irl you know it's good stuff lol

...you know what.. there's so many scenes in so many movies to list, it's ridiculous :v

and I mean these are not even movies since none of them follow a plot or anything, it's just somebullshit gross effects but the whole vomit gore series are disturbing..or more like disgusting.. I can't point out a particular scene :v

The most disturbing movie I've seen is definitely A Serbian Film (Please don't watch it!). The most disturbing movie scene that I have seen is in Trainspotting, when the creepy baby crawls along the ceiling. Which was actually referenced in the MLP episode 'Baby Cakes'

Heheheheheheheh.

I forget the name of the movie, but this one guy and this Japanese school girl hostage were starting to get affectionate in the kitchen, and both their hands were on this...moist...saucy...chicken, and their hands were just all over it . They were basically having sex through the chicken (metaphorically) :wau:.

I don't know why, but exorcism stuff kinda gets me.  It's not like I believe it or anything, it just creeps me out for some reason.  It's really the only thing in movies that sometimes kinda disturbs me.  The Exorcism of Emily Rose and The Devil Inside made me have a little trouble getting to sleep.  I watch those kinda movies anyway, cause when they're good, they're a lot of fun.  But they do creep me out.  I have this friend who refuses to watch/play any creepy movie/game.  He's just really sensitive to creep-out stuff.  He asks why I watch movies that disturb me.  I always say same reason I eat super spicy food even though it burns and makes me cough and sweat.  Cause it's tasty and fun!

I caught that too, and was kind of floored when I saw that episode. They put THAT in MLP? What?!

From the movie Event Horizon, the search team found footage of what happened to the lost crew of the ship. The video pretty much contained footage of the crew mutilating & raping each other, pulling out their own guts, biting, clawing, screaming, and all other stuff. Sort of like a vision of Hell.

That scene seriously messed me up. >_<

The final 20 minute stretch of Requiem for a Dream, without a doubt. Requiem is about a group of characters hoping to reach a better life but are ultimately destroyed by their drug addiction and the resulting consequences. The climax of the film is a montage of each character's life reaching an absolute rock bottom in the most horrible way possible, with scenes ranging from grotesque to horrifying to downright depressing. It's an assault on the senses that never lets up until the very end, and even then it ends on the bleakest of notes.

I've heard the stories about how it's an incredibly tough watch, but I was completely unprepared. I actually had to close my eyes at some point. If they had just shown this in school instead of that stupid D.A.R.E. thing, I'm sure no kid would ever think of doing drugs ever again.

  • 1 year later...

In the original The Thing, there is a scene where a "dead body's" chest bursts open to reveal a huge, gaping mouth. Into this mouth goes two doctor's hands as they are bitten off by the Thing, (he was trying to use a defibrillator on the "dead body"). When I first saw the film, this scene disturbed me greatly.

If anypony on here is familer with the film "Cannibal Holocaust" I wont need to say more, if your not its on hulu and it was the reason we we now see "no animals were harmed in the making of this film" which is odd the more I think about it.

The film got more backlash on the animal death (as it should frankly) but not as much blacklash on the, well human side of deaths.

Probably that one bit from Dumbo where him and the mouse get high. I haven't seen the movie in ages so I can't remember the name of the mouse, but that's irrelevant. But if you know what scene I'm talking about, you might agree. That was really weird, and I therefore found it disturbing.
