even though i'm not looking to focus on them... christ why do i always swerve my own threads?

 

Like i feel like a little kid trying to steal a cookie, guess it can't be helped.

 

I'm really talking about mayor mayer.

it's kind of a shit character.

 

I mean, there's nothing to her really.

And before some of you say "well how much do you expect out of a cow poke tan."
quimby from the simpsons is an awesome character.

"Oh Uncle no good, that's an adult cartoon."

 

PPG, that mayor was comedy gold.  I can't help but feel they could done more... well anything with mayor mayer.

 

She gets air time.  she gets lines.  I'm not asking for more, but if they put her in do something with her.

Well they can't take every single character and develop them and make them all great characters.  I'm not sure how an episode of her would really do, I can't see it doing very well.  Think of how they do the episodes of the Mane six, focusing either on their weaknesses or strengths, and then resolving the issue.  I think it'd be a bit boring to do that with her.  Plus, there's always characters in shows that are just characters like that and only pop in a few times.

I would love for them to do something with Mayor Mare. I think her design is absolutely fantastic, and she's one of my favorites, but they never do anything with her. I think an episode with her would be nice, and could maybe get her a bit more love. She has a lot of potential in my eyes to be a good character.

I actually like her character. She's not meant to be an active character and that's fine with me.

 

I think she's a good representation of the elder generation and just lame enough to be funny.

 

I vote for her over other cartoon Mayors

Mayor Mare is one of my favorite supporting characters, but the writers can't always develop supporting characters if there is nothing to work with in the first place. There is always potential for them, it takes time to develop a side/developing character.

I think you pointed out the problem.  She's an un apposed politician.  That's.... um not politics LOL.  Like princess Celestial wheals and deals more than mayer mayor and she's a bucking princess.

 

and when i mentioned the cakes it's kind odd the people who own a candy shop have more of a character than the mayor.

hell the grade school teacher has more of a character than the mayor.

I mean I'm not asking for anything specific, just something.  like the moment where you can point and go

"Ah see that's why she's the mayor."

You should see her past self in the comic's, she's more or less the pinkie pie of her generation (only classier).

 

You see her and cherilee both dismissing the professions the school suggests they'd be good at (politician & teacher respectively)
