gaming Halo vs CoD

So I was thinking "whats better, Halo or CoD?" How better to decide then to let my fellow bronies decide.

Honestly I prefer just about every aspect of Halo.

Call of Duty has gone now about 4 sequels in which they've tried to perfect the same type of gameplay, none of which succeeded. The game causes more anger than enjoyment.

Call of Duty because of ZOMBIES. Zombies is my absolute favorite game. I am not really big on Halo or Call of Duty Campaign/Multiplayer, but I LOOOOOOVE Zombies.

I'm a little biased, I've never owned a CoD game. I have played them but not a huge amount.

 

I love Halo, there's so much more variety in pretty much every aspect of it. Its just way more vibrant and enjoyable.

Halo has great multiplayer, a worth playing single player campaign. CoD is an RPG multiplayer where your preorder and DLCs matter and a single player that was tacked on, just in case you could not play the multiplayer.

 

Therefor Halo > CoD

Halo for sure. I've been a halo fan boy since its original release in 2001. Sure Cod is a good game, the creators take no real time to make the game feel new. From MW2 - BLCKOPS- MW3 little to no changes were made. I could go on forever but in general if you want to play a shooter with a great backstory and great multiplayer Halo is your game. If your more of a casual gamer and don't really care about a skill cap Cod is your game. Its all preferance though.

I absolutely hate COD.

Not the game itself per se, but what it's done to gaming as a whole.

 

Having this focus on MP has given the illusion to other developers that they need to include it as well.

Not to mention to much now i'm seeing this. I buy COD because everyone else buys COD, which I absoultely hate. No to mention to many people I know play COD and nothing else, why not just at least TRY something new.

Halo. Very interesting story and it's fun. Multiplayer Is fun to either play competetive or just screwing around. I could play the co-op campaign of halo 2 with a friend for hours. Forge is fun to screw around with. Firefight never gets old for me. Epic weapons. ACTUALLY DRIVABLE VECHICLES. I like Sifi more than modern day video games. A large variety of enemies. On top of that, the books are tracking amazing.

I'm not particularly fond of either series to be honest, I was never as big into Halo multiplayer as everyone else was and the only COD that I really enjoyed was COD2.The Halo story is a lot better than COD's monotonous and stereotypical FPS storyline, but I'm more at home with COD type shooters than I am with Halo type shooters when it comes to multiplayer, as I've already mentioned. Not saying that I'd play COD online, Battlefield 3 wiped it clean out of the water for me in terms of online multiplayer. And that's the comparison I'd expect when I see COD go up against another game if I'm being honest.

 

From my perspective, Halo and COD are two completely different games. Halo seems more fast paced and arcade-y than COD, and the general feel of the games is completely different too.

 

The poll I'd like to see is BF3 vs. COD, but for this poll..... I'd probably say Halo.

Halo and CoD are two totally different styles of shooters; but if I had to choose, I would say Halo.
