I don't think it's a matter of them being less advanced than us with regards to technology. They don't have the same need for a washing machine or a dishwasher as we do. These appliances were designed to make household chores more efficient. Unicorn magic would probably be quicker than a machine at washing dishes and clothes. Of course, different species have different abilities. Earth ponies and pegasi don't have magic, so maybe they would have a need for machines. However, we haven't gotten a proper look at a pegasus kitchen, and Sweet Apple Acres tends to take a more traditionalist approach to what they do anyway. The bakery could employ unicorn cleaners for their kitchen for all we know. The technology that they do have seems to be either essential to everyday living or something that can't be replicated by unicorn magic, such as hospital equipment and arcade machines. All in all, I think it's unfair to judge ponies against our advancements in technology when our lifestyles are so different.

Don't worry, I'm well aware of that. There's actually a bottle of Poitín in my house. =P

I'm debating between two that I created yesterday, I'm not too sure as to which I should use yet. First one is this one, who I'm thinking of calling Skylight, but I think this one looks too much like Spitfire. And this one is my alternate, I'm not too sure what to call him either. Thinking along the lines of Moonshine or Moonbeam, something like that. Can anyone help me out with this predicament?

Hmm, I thought this would have more to do with pony-related alcoholic beverages, like Applejack Daniels. That being said, I'm really bad at that sort of stuff, but I'll give it a go... Rainbow's Dash - I see it as a flavoured spirit of some sort. Twilight Sparkling - Sparkling wine... I'm going to stop before I embarrass myself even further...

May The Best Pet Win was the first episode I ever saw, and I enjoyed the characters quite a lot. So then I unknowingly started from the first episode of season two, watched up to the latest episode, then watched the first season. Been hooked since the first episode I watched!

I think they all got caught out by an unpredictable scenario. 1) Twilight managed to make an out of the blue connection between the six ponies that she had just met over the course of a day and the elements of harmony. Nightmare Moon couldn't have predicted this. 2) Discord was winning, he had all the Mane 6 under his complete control. If it wasn't for Twilight's connection to Celestia through Spike, then he would have succeeded. I doubt Discord knew about that connection, and was shocked to find that the Mane 6 had managed to get out of Discord's control. 3) Chrysalis couldn't have predicted that she would have been defeated by the power of Cadence's and Shining Armor's love, she herself referred to it as a 'wonderful yet ridiculous sentiment'. It's obviously never occurred before, so she couldn't have been prepared.

Relieved and uplifted would probably be the best way to describe how I feel. I can just let go, forget about any problems that might be bothering me and just relax.

They were in Suited for Success as well, the episode where Rarity makes the dresses for their own little fashion show. That's the only episode they were in bar the Gala episode I think. I think Rarity gives Fluttershy her Gala dress to wear in Green Isn't Your Color as well. Edit: The dress in Green Isn't Your Color isn't the same, similar colors though.

Great analysis, I really enjoyed reading it! The only thing I didn't agree with was the Flutterdash shipping scenario, but that's mainly because I'm slightly opposed to shipping as a whole. It hasn't really appealed to me yet. Also, why do you think Fluttershy wasn't chosen as the leader of the animal team during Winter Wrap Up? I'm guessing it's due to her lacking leadership skills, but could the residents of Ponyville be underestimating her abilities as well?

The difference between an 'e' and an 'a' isn't going to have a profound effect on the name anyway, it still has the same pronunciation. 'Cadence' is the correct spelling for the musical term, but most proper nouns tend to follow their own little path when it comes to spelling. Take the name 'Alex' for example. You could spell it 'Alyx'. Different spelling, same pronunciation. Lots of parents have been taking radical spins on the spellings of traditional names lately too, so the difference between an 'a' and an 'e' shouldn't be too much of a problem. The fact that we don't see the names of any ponies written anywhere in the show also makes them open to slight interpretation. We should, of course, take slight direction from the writers and what fans have deemed acceptable when it comes to names of course; we don't want people going around naming our beloved ponies 'Twilyt Sparckle' and 'Pinkee Pi' now, do we? We'll come to accept either 'Cadence' or 'Cadance' at some stage, we just have to let one settle as the actual name. Although it looks like most fans have taken to the spelling of 'Cadance'.

She invaded Canterlot with the intent of overthrowing Celestia and conquering Equestria for the Changelings. She also intended to feed her subjects for the benefit of her own kind through the detriment of another kind. I believe she's evil.

I now believe that Applejack is older than Rarity, as she calls her 'kiddo' at the end of Sonic Rainboom.

I'd like to see more of Scootaloo, she seems like she'd have quite a good story behind her! Who are her parents? Has she lived in Ponyville her entire life? Why can't she fly yet? So many questions that are yet to be answered!

I wasn't too fond of the CMC during season one. I found their episodes to be a little boring, and they didn't really add much to the series in terms of development. The only CMC episode I really enjoyed from season one was the Cutie Mark Chronicles, and that episode mainly featured a Mane 6 storyline that was driven forward by the CMC. I began to like them a lot more in season two, they were a lot more entertaining and likeable. They all broke out of their 'cutsie' shells and actually developed as serious characters that deserved attention. I thought that Ponyville Confidential was one of the best episodes of the season. Don't get me wrong, they're still cute, I just think they have more character beyond being cute now.

Maybe there will be an episode where one of the Mane 6 gets a coltfriend (correct term?) and they stop hanging around with the group in favour of hanging around with their coltfriend. It would probably end with them realising that even though it's nice spending time with someone that you love, it shouldn't get in the way of your true friends. I don't really want them to find love in a sense that would destroy the group dynamic. If they implement it in a discrete sort of way, like a small discussion about it or a quick mention about how the relationship was going, I'd be happy.

Sweetie Belle, she gets all of my d'aww, especially when her voice cracks. Too cute!

It was between Luna and Cadance for me, but I'm going with Luna. Cadance has a pretty colour scheme, but I think Luna has a better shape to her mane and body. I also prefer Luna's colours to Cadance's, she looks a little more serious. Cadance looks like a sweet.
