ReverseFaller 2,483 January 31, 2014 Author Share January 31, 2014 This is at least the 3rd or 4th thread about Michael. I'm glad people aren't just forgetting about him. I never got why people have to be so cruel. Nowadays it seems like kids are growing up without remorse. The kids who bullied him probably don't even feel bad. FIutt3rguy 12 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) I'm sick to my stomach. I hate thinking about this (shootings, violence, the likes). WHY ARE PEOPLE SO INSENSITIVE? Edited January 31, 2014 by FIutt3rguy
Frostgage 7,975 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) It really is sad that we live in a world where people will hate you or make fun of you just because of what you like. Maybe I need to grow up but, even though I've lived on this earth for 17 years I still can't understand why people do things like this without provocation. My personal policy is that if it doesn't hurt anyone, whatever you do is your own business. What really disgusts me is big companies like FOX News will probably condemn acts of bullying like this, even though they have the exact same opinion of Bronies and I feel are just as guilty. This may seem out of place and it doesn't really fit perfectly but I always remembered this Starfire quote from Teen Titans: "There will always be people who say mean words because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. But there are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. Those are the people whose words truly matter." FadedSkies 1,874 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) I saw this on twitter and it made me feel so sad. He's still so young and i can't believe he was being bullied to the point where he attempts suicide I really hope those kids that were bullying him learn their lesson. If i were their parents i would bring them to the hospital and make them apologize and see what they have done to this boy. They had a donation site to help the recovery so i thought i would give $30 to help, hopefully i made a difference My prayers go out to this brave boy and his family and loved ones that are with him all this time Edited January 31, 2014 by FadedSkies
Delernil 952 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 if his brain can't function why even donate. Wow. I hope those bullies apologize, feel guilt as hell, And stop. crazitaco 596 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) Poor guy. I really hope he makes it and can find a reason to keep on living. I'm sure the people who bullied him will be feeling the wrath of 4chan soon enough if not already. They're good at stuff like that. And what would that do? They will be taught that it's not their fault. That their behaviour was ok. He will recover and what then, they'll bully him again? And make sure this time he will try to kill himself "properly"? There is no excuse for bringing someone to this, sorry. They've made big mistake and unless they deeply regret it they must face consequences. I agree, these kids need to learn their lesson. If 4chan were to just scare the pants off of them, they would not only learn not to mess with that kid, but anyone else ever again. People often tell kids who are bullied that they either need to fight the battle themself, or find someone who will defend them. Well, the kid's is one of us, and suffered because he was one of us. I like the idea of internet bronies acting as his figurative "tough guy friend" to avenge and stand up for him. Heck, if i could be there, i would personally kick his bully's ass, and i'm the kind of person who has never tried to fight or hurt people. Teach em not to ever mess with one of us again. Its only a shame that we were too late about this, and the damage has already been done. King Sejong 859 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 This image we saw on this thread speaks for itself, it is so tragic to see such a young human being, suffering more than physically but spiritually, those bullies when too far and woe is us, who have to share this world with the unscrupulous ingrates. I feel so deeply for the anguish and sorrow of so many youths, trying to establish their independence and identity, only to have bullies of many walks in life, from the common thug to the higher echelons in power, aggressively implying their authority or force to make people comply to their whims against the victim's will, and it is more than just loving or watching MLP; it is a judgement and enforcement of some else's vision conformity. Although I have never really faced school bullies, I have faced adult bullying, ranging from my parents to my neighbours, and it hurts physically and mentally, to see people that you want to trust use and abuse someone, it's a deepening fettered madness, so I don't know what to do about bullying, it's simply everywhere at many ages, locations, and circumstances, that's why I want to go as far away from urban centres as far away as possible, yet I want to do something for the innumerable victims of violence and bullying, I care for genuine human beings, trying to make a living according to their personal standards, it obsesses me to try to help someone, and to liberate myself from this scourge, sometimes when I write or dream, I wish Equestria was real, to go away and start again, and write books detailing the feat and folly of human civilization, so that settlers will always remember the positive and negative, then I can finally have that what I desire most: peace. So my ailing friends out there right now, I say we must reach out to each other, write, intervene, something so that one day we can have an Equestria in real time, I can wait but others may not, so let us start sharing our gifts to this world, and try to make it less sinister than it is, I thank you all. FNGRpony 658 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 ahem i found this on reddit, with a source, here has been a few worrying inconsistencies in the story and in how his family is handling this problem. Recently uncovered was a facebook post from one of the Morones family friends who revealed that Michael did not attempt suicide because of bullying from school, but because he got in a fight with his older brother. first the reddit source, second the face book entry from the family which has recently been altered, I know this isn't like me. But please send all your prayers to Michael, Chris's stepson. Last night he got in a fight with his brother, and tried to kill himself. Michael is 11 years old. He's a wonderful sweet, smart outgoing boy. I love him. I love Chris's other stepchildren. Ethan's step-brothers. I might complain about Chris and be envious of his family sometimes. But the truth is I love them all very much. So please pray for Chris, Tiffany, Angel, Xavier and especially Michael. He's in ICU and they don't know if he's going to make it. Please pray. You can all come down from your moral high horse of throwing humanity under the bus now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

Lunatic Cake 1,618 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 Children can be extremely horrible. I am lucky to only have been bullied slightly when I was around that boy's age. But really the reason I want to live in solitude most of the time. Humans are the kind to deny things that are different or not fitting into their created world thus they take measures to protect their "perfect" world and thus something like this happens. Hearing/seeing stuff like that just makes me want to lose even more hope in mankind that I already have but that hope can't be decreased anymore. Motion Spark 7,807 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) EDITED I want to talk about is about this artwork (it's in spoilers because it's quite offensive if you ask me) notice that this is a recreation of the picture that it's on the webs about him covered in bazillion of tubes with his pony plushies by his side, which makes this drawing even more offensive. The thing is that, I wouldn't have found about this drawing if it wasn't for a friend that shared it on his facebook and captioned it with "It's a long time since I've been doubting about this fandom. well, it's been shit since so long anyway" Then I've seen the comments on his post saying that this fandom is shit and whatnot. And I was like, how could you think that if it is thanks to this "shit" fandom that this kid's mother won't owe a fortune to the hospital. It's my friend and all, but it bothers me when people are so stubborn and overly sensitive that they end up acting before they think (and I thought I was that way but really, a lot of people beat me to it) and jump into wrong conclusions. They are running over all the good things this fandom had made for our society, GLOBALY. All the charity auctions, charity events and all the money donated for several intitutions. The conventions spreading friendship everywhere they go. This behaviour works just like media, they focus on the bad things but left the good things aside or they just don't show it at all. Saying that the whole fandom because 1 or 2 bad apples made a big deal out off something, doesn't mean that the whole fandom sucks and is plagued with evil people. What if this thing was drawn by a hater and not a brony? we don't know -_- How could you say I hate this fandom and then an hour later you jack off to pony porn? Other people hate this fandom because the internet is flooded with R34. See what I mean? I personally think that there is bad people everywhere, but those doesn't necesarily have to make a whole group bad. The brony fandom is much more than that and we're showing it by support we're giving to Michael and his family Edited February 1, 2014 by Motion Spark 3 My OC's: Motion Spark || Beat Spark || Rosebelle Sorry, I don't take REQUESTS! duidamasterXD 9,627 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 (edited) Whoever made the artwork Motion Spark just shared is a pretty shitty person. I just took the time out to get more informed on what happened with Michael, and all I can say is that I hope he'll be able to recover as much as possible, his family won't be burdened by hospital bills, and that the people who pushed him to this point have a long talk with themselves. I think there's something to be said for what Motion said earlier about not letting the actions of small groups of people make you lower your opinion of broader bodies of them. My faith in humanity isn't waning, my faith in the brony fandom isn't waning. It doesn't surprise me that there are people who would torment others to this point. It doesn't surprise me that people would make cheap shock artwork to piss people off and appease their sick senses of humor. I've seen and heard it all before, and if anything the way members of the fandom have rallied behind this family to support them is incredibly heartwarming. It's not about that though. I just hope that Michael will be able to recover as best he can and that people can wake up and treat each other like human beings. long gone 8,929 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 I can understand why a kid of his age would attempt suicide to get out of bullying. They wouldn't know any better, even though there are better, less self-destructive ways out there. This begs the question though, why didn't he tell anyone about it? I can't tell you how many times during my childhood I was told to bring up any cases of bullying that affect me or anyone else, surely he was told the same thing. Of course, it's too late now as the bullies pushed him to the point where he attempted suicide and is now in a coma, but with all said, I wish Michael a speedy recovery.
LordDiscord 289 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 How is anyone shocked by this? I did a year in catholic school, 2 years in bd, and jr high was hell on earth you couldn't pay me to go back to. Did everyone just get home schooled here? i got up early some times to watch sailor moon, not cause I loved it, but i wanted an anime fix before school lol. did i tell anyone? no. no i did not. Why would you tell people in school you watch mlp? From personal experience, i'd rather go into a troll forum and list all my fears, hopes, and dreams as well as my race, beleifs, and family problems. Why do that? it's stupid. true or false? If you feel ashamed for liking something, then you don't really like it. Someone should never be punished for sharing their interest nor should they be limited because of it. If someone is going to find a problem with you because their interest, clashes with yours then they are at fault here, not you.

I know it sounds simple but telling someone can make you feel weak and can be really embarrassing, to the point where something like this could happen. It's sort of like how women don't always come forward after being raped, even if it's not their fault, they still feel too ashamed to tell anyone. (I really shouldn't speculate on someone's reasons for something like this, though.) Honestly, in a similar situation to Michael, I probably wouldn't tell anyone either, especially not when I was 11. 1 Signature by Lacerna | You should fill out my Johari Window. FoxyCryptid 4,330 January 31, 2014 Share January 31, 2014 There's such a stigma about discussing suicide that most people won't ever ask for help because they're afraid admitting they're having those thoughts will get them looked down upon as a freak, or maybe even get them locked up in the nut house. It's much the same problem I've had admitting my problems and inner struggles to people, you end up reduced to tears of frustration and panic because you can't get the words out, societies views on it stigmatize it so much that trying to get it out almost feels like trying to confess to murder.
