I don't think the parents deserve so much hate for doing this.  Maybe they just wanted some interesting name ideas instead of just sticking to the ever-so-normal-and-boring "Rachel" or "Sarah Jane."

 

So what if Mr. Stephen ends up naming his daughter Cthulhu?  Is that really so bad?  Does that really mean that he isn't going to be a good parent?

 

I mean, after all... I have heard of way worse names for children that weren't chosen by the Internet.  Give the guy a break.  

 

I can personally say that I'll be naming my first child Alice, and no one else gets a say in the decision; but after that, I will probably let my spouse choose whatever names he likes, and (if all goes according to plan with my current sweetheart) he will probably choose some strange and unusual names.  I'll probably end up with a kid named Obi Wan Kenobi or something!  xD

I went to school with a guy named Etneciv. (Pronounced "Ett-neh-seeve"). His name was his father's name, Vicente, spelled backwards. That's pretty much the most interesting name I've ever encountered in person.
