Any Strange Phone Calls, E-mails ect...

Do you ever get a strange phone call, e-mail, that really made you go WTF? I just had one of those today, I was at work on my lunch break and I get this call from this guy with this thick Indian accent (you could tell the case was probably from India) and he said something about "medical compensation" which made me think he might have been someone from workers comp because I returned to work not too long ago from a knee injury that took me out of work for 6 weeks. Because of his accent I could only understand every other word he was saying and he then asked if I had any relatives who had "bladder sling surgery" or if I had it, and I said "not that I am aware of." He asked if I did and I said "nope" and then he asked if I was married and said that I wasn't and then you won't believe what he asked me next. He asked, wait for it...

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Have you ever had intercourse at any time in your life?"

 

I nearly jumped out of my chair and said "sir, are you asking me what I think you are asking me?" He then repeated the question and I asked "exactly how does whether or not I have had sex relevant to my knee injury?" He then said "I am not married and I have had intercourse" and tried to make it sound like I was ashamed of my sexual side which is not the case at all. I am a very sexual person, but having some random stranger who might be from another country asking something like that especially when I was in the breakroom at work only a few feet away from the managers office door was a very very strange and awkward situation for me. When I am at work that is honestly the absolute last thing I want to think about because it reminds me of what I would rather be doing instead of what I actually am doing. So after that I facepalmed the hardest I have in quite some time and hung up.

Well I'll sometimes get a call just trying to sell stuff to me even though I'm not old enough to have my own credit card yet. Also one time I got a text message at 2 in the morning that just looked like someone slammed the keyboard. It was like a little kid grabbed their mom's phone, slammed the keyboard, and sent it to a random number that happened to be mine.

I got a call about a leaking dishwasher and some insurance junk, also got a phone call where someone asked "Taxi?" in some thick foreign accent.

I had a missed call about 3 weeks ago and it was a regular number not a 1-800 so I called it back. Immediately and I mean immediately no dial tones moaning from a guy and girl from a porno started playing in my ear, I was shocked and then couldn't stop laughing

I got a weird chain link e-mail, which was really weird so I decided to ignore it. When I received a weird call last year, it came from a number that I did not have in my contacts or knew about it at all and it was just someone breathing into the phone.

I haven't had any weird phone calls or emails, but I have had some peculiar random encounters. I remember this one girl stopped me in the hallway of my school to ask me if she had a nice butt. When I responded with "no," she slapped me in the face and claimed that I was just jealous of her "bootylicious ass."

I get text messages for weight loss, which makes me feel sad bc i am currently trying to eat healthier right now and those make me feel worst about myself. In other words, phones suck and they should be thrown in the bunny fire

When I first got this number I used to calls form from very agitated sounding Hispanics, it makes me wonder about the number's previous owner. 

 

My stepdad's cell used to ring and lead to nothing but the grinding sound of machinery on the other end. 

 

and now I just got such a intense eerie feeling it provoked be to remove my folding knife from it's case on my belt and set it in my lap. Not that it would do much good against anything paranormal...

Last year I got the most threatening text ever:

 

"I suggest you take that Ipad right back to where you got it from. I have been watching you (racist word), and I have been for a while."

 

If that isn't enough to make somebody worried, then I don't know what is.

 

About 4 weeks ago, I got a call from California. It was left as a voice mail. I go to hear the voice mail and all I hear is a bunch of super-speed spanish speaking from a woman that I assume was in her 30s.

 

 

When a telemarketer calls my house, they ask the dumbest things ever. Has a family member of yours [fill in the blank]?

 

So then I respond: oh wait I think... (And then I scream into the phone at the top of my lungs. Then I hang up.) I'm on a flipping do-not-call list. Do not call means DO NOT CALL!

Strange e-mails, I got those all the time. Like some weird emails telling me where I can buy cheap drugs and stuff like that 

 

About phone calls, yes sometimes. I know a few times when someone has called and not said a word, you could just hear them breathing. It has been rather creepy. I remember when I was a little kid and someone did that, I was quite scared

 

Not too long ago I read in Swedish newspapers about how a lot of people had gotten calls from someone where a woman was moaning haha.

 

Also, once I got a message on skype from some random guy from Azerbaijan who talked like if he knew me =s

I've occasionally gotten phone calls from various numbers asking for a Valerie. I can only assume she had this number before me, or a very similar one. I dunno, it just happens sometimes.
