Ya, I am one of them people that stay up all night just looking up random shit, thats how I found that study. I just try to find the study just now to post up there findings in a form of a chart on here, but I found this info a long time ago and I'm going to say it was 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning so I cant remember what it was at.

Based on my personal experiences combined with the stories I have heard from many others online, I would rank the five worst fanbases thusly:

 

5. Patriots fans

4. Twilight fans (the book series, not the MLP Pony)

3. Whedonverse fans (I am one of them, but I have to admit they can be frustrating as hell in some online communities)

The Sonic fandom is pretty retarded when you get into it enough. There's lots of drama, and certainly more segregation than anything people in this fandom try and make seem like is a big problem with us. You've got the army of hipster Sonic fans who cling to the old games and hate on everything from 3D onward, the early 3D game fans that liked them at first, but hated things after them after a while, the newer sonic fans who really cater to the modern era games, and even smaller groups who like the spin-offs the most. Not to burst your bubble, but in a recent survey,on the largest rule 34 site on the internet mlp is currently second in R34, and people are making art at such a steady pace, that Mlp R34, can overtake Pokemon's by the end of the year. Not to mention that Twilight Sparkle is the first character to reach 7000 pictures of her, on that site.

Otakus are also a pain to deal with. God forbid I actually prefer to watch an anime in my language instead of reading it

God I hate that, I dislike subs because I simply rather go and actually read a book or fanfic if I want to spend the whole time reading. It's distracting and you wind spending the whole time reading instead of watching any of what's going on.

 

It's not that a fandom is bad. There's just a dark side to every fandom.

...that being said, I HATE the part of the Doctor Who fandom that goes 'CLASSIC WHO IS DA BEST THE REVIVAL SUCKS' and likewise the opposite part that says 'OH EW CLASSIC WHO IS FOR LOSERS THERE ARE NO HOT PEOPLE IN IT'. Both shows are good...and Fivey is plenty hot, excuse you! But it dosen't matter, anyway.

That's called Nostalgia Goggles, and it can be horrible to deal with someone with a nice, thick pair on.  

 

 

Felt like bringing this one to attention after a few bad run-ins with it's youtube community(lol, that probably explains it), but every day I continue to distance myself from the Dragon Ball fandom more and more. Never have I ever seen a fandom so hateful and divided

Sonic fanbase. Complain about everything. Even when they get their wish... Saddening. Can't see the quality in any other Sonic game than 2 or Sonic Adventure 2. (The former I despise, the latter is my personal favorite.)

You missed a few words babe. But there's plenty of young kids and plenty of older ones in the minecraft fanbase, instead of it being more like few young kids, a ton of older ones for the mlp one.

The DBZ Fandom was one of the most annoying. Take a look at all of the issues with the English Dub and how that fandom reacted when Funimation brought it to the states. The Brony fandom is nothing compared to the Japanese purists. Its a good thing that most people just grow out of that nonsense as we get older. But I could be wrong.
