Will we ever see Nightmare Rarity in the TV show?

Although I can't stand Rarity I have to admit that I do like the Nightmare version of herself!

 

(Obviously I've now completely changed my mind about Rarity and now I love her!)

I don't think so.  It wouldn't make a lot of sense for Nightmare Rarity or Nightmare Moon to return.  The Nightmare Forces already tried to take over Rarity and Luna.  They failed to keep their hold on both ponies.  They'd more likely pick a new, more vulnerable target.  Such as...

Yeahh, as I stated in the other topic, this idea will never come into fruition.

 

The comics have elements to them that aren't appropriate for the all-ages thing the show has going for it, given they are just for bronies.

 

Given it can be argued as whether it's legit canon or not, NMR isn't canon, just fanon. The guy said "it's as close to canon as it gets" but that doesn't mean it's canon, just close to being canon.

 

So, no, NMR will (thankfully) never happen in the show.

Nope. Not happening. The comics seem to take place in a parallel universe from the show and have elements the Hasbro execs would shoot down as soon as they were bought up.

 

While there are elements I'd like from the comic I'd somehow like to see worked in (http://mlpforums.com/topic/82484-elements-from-the-comic-book-youd-like-to-see-in-the-show/), this is one that stands NO chance...

 

Though I would just LOVE to see the minor characters/backgrounders take a stand

As already said, it would never happen.

 

We'll probably never even see anything more from the nightmare realm since in the comics Luna and Nightmare Rarity herself said something along the lines of there wasn't much power left and it took all they could to find another host. NMR said they picked Rarity because she was the weakest against her fears. Then at the end of that arc, all the nightmare beasties turned back into their non-corrupt former selves.

There are some things from the comics that shouldn't be in the show itself, the comics have an alternate/parallel universe setting to it that differs from the show and Hasbro would sink that ship if Nightmare Rarity was in the show. So, no.

That would be awesome but no. The rules work differently in the comics. NMM was created from the nightmare forces, while in the show Luna's own hatred fueled the transformation.  It'd be nice to have those shocking elements int he show, but Hasbro is on the fence at best.

I doubt they would ever put Nightmare Rarity in the show, or any of the things from the comics for that matter. I'm not the biggest fan of the comics so I don't mind too much, and even if one of the mane 6 members were to turn evil, it'd most likely be Twilight, but even the chances of that happening are rather slim to none. I'm not a fan of Nightmare Rarity so I can safely say I'm glad it's not in the show.

I've been over here, watching the show. I don't read comics, they tend to bore me. It's like a book minus the enjoyment of visualizing things yourself. It's like a cartoon minus any animation or movement. Just...Never got the point.

well i liked the first two comic story arcs.

 

after that alot hit and miss.

catching up on the comic wouldn't be a bad idea after season 4,

hell, good thing I caught with them when I went to the US, I only have issue 9 and Luna's micro-series missing

 

BTW, has anyone noticed a grey breezie in the latest episode who ported a mane color and style  like Nightmare Rarity's? it's the one at the upper-right corner

No matter how I love Nightmare Rarity character, her story is now completed, so she shouldn't show up in the show. However I would love to see nightmare forces in the action again.

I hate the Nightmare Forces and find the Background for the Nightmares in the Pony POV Series much better: It's what happens when a single aspect of an alicorn (or being with a similar power, like a wielder of an Element of Harmony) consumes becomes the only part of them. Nightmare Moon was when Luna's night became the only thing that mattered to her and Nightmare Whisper was when Fluttershy was consumed by her kindness.

 

So in other word... I hope this will never happen

I have to say, I would be tickled Pinkie Pie if Nightmare Rarity were to appear in the show, seriously. I love the whole idea behind it, although it is a somewhat darker tone than MLP has really gone before. However, we do supposedly have 5 seasons left after Season 4, so anything is possible. But we have to remember that although Bronies are like 90% of the total viewers, this show was originally intended for little girls (I know, the sad truth!) and Hasbro has to keep that in mind when making new episodes. The whole story and Nightmare Rarity in general, like I said, is a darker tone than MLP has gone before. I'm not going to say I 100% believe that Nightmare Rarity will never appear in the show, because I think it would make an awesome movie for the ponies. I'll just say that it's unlikely, but somewhat possible. Again, I would be completely for Nightmare Rarity.
