gaming A Pokemon move you hate

In Pokemon, is there a move that you HATE when the opponent uses?? You don't really have to hate the move when YOU use it, but when your opponent does?

 

My list is..

 

-Fake out- Because the user always goes first and it flinches you...a little irritating

 

-Protect- Its great when YOU have it, but when the opponent. computer or real person uses it A LOT can just get really annoying...

 

-Toxic- Because you always get poisoned. I know there is some attacks that CAN cause poison, but Toxic...always unless your Pokemon avoids it.

 

-ANYTHING that causes confusion- Sums it up. Confusion sucks. You can't really cure it, but it goes away on its own whenever it feels like it.

 

-Anything that causes burns or frozens.

 

-Sing- Yep :/ that explains it.

 

Pretty much a lot of attacks that causes any of your Pokemon's status to be ruined...

• Roar (TBH, I laugh everytime that move is used.  Its worthless)
• Growl
• Defense Curl
• String Shot
• Splash
• Flail

Worst Moves (the annoying moves pretty much)

• Yawn
• Charm
• Attract (I HATE THAT MOVE WITH A PASSION)
• Sleep
• Snare
• Facade
• Hyper Beam

Anything that fuckin Pranksters learn. I hate when I'm trying to set up against a Whimsicott and it locks me into swords dance, then substitutes and toxics, then once I lose the encore, it gets priority and encores me again >.< Makes me soooooooooo mad!

I gotta admit, I use it, about 2 times at most, but yes.  It does get quite annoying.  Funny, the Elite Four sometimes uses it, and after the 3 protect, they are chickenshits that they use Full Restore,

1. Dark void: Absolutely hate it. One time I was battling a freaking Smeargle and another pokemon with my Giratina and Mewtwo. The Smeargle used Sketch before me and ended up using Dark Void, which put both of my pokemon to sleep. I was like "You freaking ***hole!"

 

2. One-hit-KO moves: Although these rarely land, when they do, it's devestating, especially when your opponant gets lucky and ends up landing it like three times in a row out of 5. 

 

3. Infatuating moves: Once used on your pokemon, your pokemon becomes utterly useless because of immobilized by love.

Same here.  All my pokemon have attack moves instead of defense moves.

  Oh god, most annoying move in the pokemon game.  Funny, when my bug pokemon hit there "cacoon" state, I just equip exp. share, b/c I literally refuse to put them on the field.

I don't hate moves just as they are, more so the way they can be used.

I can get annoyed by paralysis, especially paired with Air Slash Togekiss.

And the whole deal with Poison Heal Gliscor can get annoying as well.

But, really, any absolute bullshit I see I will use myself, so I can't judge.

~ Confusion inducing moves. I don't care what it is, if makes my Pokemon confused, f*ck that! (I hate Swagger the most, even though it increases my attack)

 

~ Encore. However it's not such a big deal if it was used with a move that hits pretty hard.

 

~ Moves that cause damage or something to switched in Pokemon. I tend to switch my Pokemon quite a bit, so these moves can be a pain sometimes. (e.g. Stealth Rock)

 

~ Yawn, or any other sleep inducing move. >.<

 

~ Attract? I think that's what its called. I hate it!

You mean "Attract".......well, you not the only one who hates that.  Most players or CPU's who have a pokemon (possibly multiple) have that move and it pisses me off when they use it.  Its like a continuous and incurable status.

Double Team / Evasion Stuff: There's a reason it's banned from all forms of competitive, it's complete crap and utterly broken.

 

Any OHKO move: Because of the battle tower and the AI's uncanny ability to pull them off flawlessly.

 

Yawn: Because the AI is too dumb to realize after my 20th switch that I'm not going to let them put me to sleep.

 

Supersonic: Has horrible accuracy, seems more annoying than confuse ray and yet always seems to hit for the AI.

Well For main game series wise, These are the moves I hate.

 

Protect & Detect - I hate These moves the most

Substitute - Can be annoying without Inflitrator Ability

Fake out - Highly Annoying without inner focus

Moves That has paralyze effect - Well apparently I don't like paralysis even though it slows down the pokemon by half.

Moves that has confusion Effect - Really annoying including swagger

Double Team & Minimize - Can be extremely annoying if no hazer or manaphy with heart swap regardless of the rules

Hazard Entry Moves - Spikes are ok with me if used 1-4 times, but bad if 5 times. Toxic Spikes, really annoying if 2 layers, and Stealth Rock, not bad.

 

For Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series, well

 

Spite - Really hate the move cuz it can take away some of your PP of the move you used previously

Protect & Detect - same as the main game series

Ominous Wind & Silver Wind - Don't really like it when opponents use these moves

I'm somewhat of a competitive player and I agree with you wholeheartedly on Toxic Heal Gliscor. Hey I'll use Substitute! Then Protect! Then Toxic! Then Protect! Then Substitute! Oh yea, and I've been getting an immense amount of health back this entire time!

 

Also, Paraflinch Serene Grace Togekiss is the worst thing ever. I'm so grateful I haven't come across too many.

Swagger/ Foul Play

 

It was fine when it was just Liepard doing it in Gen 5 but now that it's so easily accessible with Klefki its just a pain to deal with. It doesn't help that Klefki has really good typing either.

Yeah, when an ice move hits and actually causes Freeze that always stinks. Can't really think of many moves I really hate besides that though, it's all just strategy after all.

A lot of moves that I hate in Pokemon are the ones that people use mainly for competitive play. This includes moves like:

 

Protect, Detect

Weather effect moves: Sunny Day and Rain Dance are okay, but I hate Hail and Sandstorm with a passion!!!!!

 

Oh & don't even get me started on status afflicting moves. Any move that prolongs the battle, I tend to hate the most!

If we're talking CPU battles, it's got to be Double Team/ Minimize etc. It's just really annoying when the opponent becomes almost impossible to hit. Oh and Dig/Fly, not a huge deal, it's just a waste of time.

 

Other notable moves:

 

Any voice type move. I have a baton pass based team and the sound based moves go through the substitutes; very, very annoying.

 

Encore: the number one enemy. Priority encore takes a dump on baton pass teams trying to boost. You got to do all these dry passes to hopefully lure in the prankster and murder them. 

 

King's Shield. It's not a super overpowered move or anything, but it can be a hassle for my pokes with contact attacks to play that silly game of boost or attack.
